Who gives a flying fuck what /v/ thinks?

People who aren't children have better things to do than bomb metacritic.
This.

Suddenly, posting your view on a video game rating website is 'trolling'.
Jesus you people have such a false sense of superiority.

Yes. They disapprove. That is fine.
But what is it with this attitude that all the world has to know about their dissaproval? Everyone disapproves about something, it's part of being human.
We just don't make a big deal about every single little thing, because that is part of being an adult.

I find this practice to be quite disturbing. If I were unsure of a game and saw a rating like that I would not buy it.
Anyways, later I'll waste an hour reporting all the bogus posts I can.
I've seen similar user review trashings because of security features. It's usually not too hard to spot these sort of things because the user reviews are so out of line with critics. Critics tend to be a bit higher than users, but a huge negative outpouring on a well received game is always a bunch of petulent man-children.

All they're really succeeding in doing is devaluing their opinion.

So stop complaining about people using a game reviewing website to review games.
Critics can't review a game for ass, Reach got 91 on MCand STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl only got 82, despite being overwhelmingly superior.

I for one am glad that people are taking a stand against DLC.

This may be the wrong way to go about it, but at least they are letting the companies know we're sick and tired of getting shafted by their ridiculous day one DLC bullshit.

DLC is fine. Halo 2 had good DLC, as did Star Wars Battlefront II.

Day 1, 'pay money to unlock content already on disc' is fucking revolting.

There's a bit of a difference between in game skins and horse armour-type things and levels etc. I don't really get why people would pay for skins, especially in a 2 player game where your mate would just laugh at you, but I'm not gonna tell you what you can buy.

If they put a map-pack as dlc I'd be pissed, because they should have put it in the initial game.

It's kind of irrelevant to me what the DLC consists of to be honest, the fact that day one DLC exists is for one reason only and that is pure greed. I am genuinely surprised that Valve would sink that low, they used to be the good guys.

I have to agree, Day 1 DLC is bull, especially coming from a developer like VALVe.

I mean, it's something I've come to expect from Capcom, and all, and I bend over and let them service me with their DLC-Unlocks, but come on, VALVe? Creator of our Lord and Savior Half-Life 2?

Maybe find out why /v/ is doing this before you blast them for being manchildren.

Who knows, maybe this'll send a message to the gaming industry on a whole about Day 1 DLC.

Probably not.

Funny to see a thread on Portal 2 being bashed after finishing the game not 2 hours ago. Just sayin' the game is incredible, the whole game was just amazing.
