I have a bit of a reverse example. I used to respect Chuck Norris, but then he sued a group of people for making a Chuck Norris joke-book, and I lost all respect for him. I mean, really, he was a second rate actor, somebody made up these jokes and helped get him back in the public view, and he sues people for helping his career? Fuck that.

I have never said that he was a horrible person.

he's talented. He's intelligent. He's not a pretentious ass-hat.

At least he's that when on camera and according to who he was before he was famous.

But he's getting wealthy by singing about things his audience couldn't possibly understand, he causes girls to shriek in a way tha tmakes me wnt to nuke stadiums from orbit, and he's getting tons more money than I'll ever make.

So there's a little jealousy there but also disappointment that he is reinforcing some of what is wrong in the world.

Well I never really hated the kid, I disliked what he stood for and since I never heard his music, have no opinion on it; but it is nice to see that he's willing to be made fun of every now and then. That earn's a person a lot of respect in my book.

It's nice to see that some people are still down to earth after becoming a celebrity.

Ozzy: "What the f***'s a Bieber?"
Bieber in disguise: "I dunno, kinda looks like a girl".

Oh self-deprecating humor, how I love you so. Bieber just earned a lot of respect in my book for that one simple line.

I think this made me lose respect for Ozzy.

As for the kid, I never really cared. It's an isolated phenomenon where I live. Only way one could know about him was on the internet. I sorta pity him since he will grow up and still remain the "teenage girl idol". Good luck getting a life and girlfriend over 13 when most people are out there swearing at him daily and would lynch him on sight...

The fact that he's making a movie though...might be the most boring cinematic experience of all times.

I'm not proud of myself after watching that vid, because I had the most horrible thought.

OT: I dont know. I dont necessarily hate the kid. It bothers me that his music popular, because he seems to be bringing back the boybands of the 90s, and those were awful. And he's so plain. there's no controversy in the kid, and when you're that young, you should have something wrong with you. Though he is dating Selena Gomez, and she's 18, so thats statutory rape if she tries anything. But thats the public life, and not the personal.

As for someone who changed my mind about not liking them... I never used to like this kid from Philadelphia (I'm from Pittsburgh) when he first moved out here. Then I saw him burn his flyers jersey. And he was my bro after that. But seriously, he put himself infront of a charge that otherwise would have crippled me and broke three of his ribs taking it in a game of roller Hockey. I asked him why, (since the day before he and I got into a rather loud shouting match over where he and I came from), and he said because we're Pennsylvanians first, Philadelphians/Pittsburghers second, but he'd like to make that third and by my friend.

I've never hated Bieber. I don't care for his music, but I'm clearly not his target audience, and he's just a cog in this bland and mediocre Max Martin machine that has completely taken over mainstream pop music (which I don't listen to in general anyway). But he's pretty funny in these kind of comedy sketches. His series of April Fool's videos for funnyordie.com had me genuinely cracking up.

I have a feeling that in a few years from now, he'll be the next Justin Timberlake: transitioning from an early spurious, bubblegum pop career into decent comic acting, and maybe even a more mature musical style.

I would jump to the chance, even if my own music would make my ears bleed.

It's just easy to target the same person as everyone else, as as he is a little Fairy dancing and singing about he is an easy target. A fucking stupidly rich target.

In the Uk so didn't care or watch the Superbowl.

I hated Cliffy B because I thought he was an arrogant douche. Then I played Gears of War and I decided to take back everything I've said or thought about him.

Justin Bieber hate is just intense jealousy. Unless he like, was your high school bully or something.

When I got the email from Best Buy informing me of an ad during "the big game" featuring Ozzy Sharon Osborne and Justin Bieber, I didn't know what to expect. Now that I've seen it I still don't like the kid, but I appreciate that he is willing to make fun of himself.

Justin Bieber knows how to mock the haters, wonderful way to do it.

He always had my respect but for the discussion value everyone missed, I think I'll choose probably Snoop Dogg. Why? Plastic Beach and Nike ads that's why!
