Damn it Dad, it's not called "Pokeman"!

Many kids who grew up when pokemon was highly popular were either irritated or amused when parents, teachers, or any grown up pronounced "Pokemon" as "Pokeman"

With this in mind, I ask, what other odd "naming errors" or descriptions have you heard from people who aren't familiar with the particular product?

Examples: "Xboxcube" or "that game with the Zelda sword guy"

(I've heard a parent describe "Pokeman" as, "A game where stuffed animals kill each other")

Many of my friends have referred to Link as Zelda. My mom also called my Xbox "Game Box".

Most gadgets are referred to by my mum as the "Whatsit Thing" or similar.

When I was scheduled to do a week's work experience with Lionhead she also referred to the company as Hawkwind (the old space rock band). That got irritating.

MW2 being called a CoD. It's changed people!!!

I'm pretty sure the official title is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, I could be wrong but I think it's similar to CoD:WaW.

Link in my parent's eyes is a sailor. Course they've only seen me play Wind Waker, and I tend to be sailing. My DS is in their eyes a Game Boy. My Gamecube is apparently a Playstation.
