I miss the days of Ducktales and Rescue Rangers. What the hell happened, I don't know.

The only reason I even remotely like disney nowadays is because they released a bunch of Studio Ghibli films outside of Japan...
OT: Erm, I don't know...see if you can interest them in the ring or something? They won't be watching tv for a while, let alone High School Musical.

Alternatively, cripple them emotionally with the Brave Little Toaster or Anastasia! (Rasputin is more horrific the more time you spend thinking about how horrific he is.)

To cut a long story short, I am baby-sitting my little cousins tomorrow, which is fine, they are relatively well behaved and if they are not then I get to order them about like a drill sergeant.

One small problem, I know that I am going to have to sit through High School Musical again, well at least there are three to choose from. Well maybe I'll be lucky and they'll play Hannah Montana instead. Help me

Everytime I watch any of that crap I get physically enraged, I used to enjoy Disney, you back when they actually made good films. I feel like Disney has just given me the finger and spat on my childhood. Anyone else feel that something from their childhood has betrayed them? Excuse me as I prepare myself for the impending doom.

I used to feel like you but thankfully my eyes melted and I lost me sense of hearing.

.......kinda makes you wonder how I am typing this all out right now?

Disney lost any respect I had for them when they ruined Winne the Pooh. Really it is a horror that has no proper wording.

OT: Pixar movies are always good. My suggestion would be to pull out the good cartoons of old to let em know the awesomeness that they missed.

Oh, pal, I really feel your pain--Having recently lost my full-time job, my work has become equivalent to bumming around my mother's house, watching my three-year-old sister to save money on child care, which can be seizure-inducing levels of expensive.

Of course this means we watch a lot of movies. ...A lot.

Firstly, THIS:

I tell you what you've got to do.

Pixar.
But since she's so young, she doesn't have the attention span for movies of that level... And I end up watching it more than she does while she flushes my iPod down the toilet. My fallback becomes Nick Jr, the classic staple of child imagination since I was a kid, back when Nickelodeon was all one channel.

You want to talk about a network going to shit, I suggest you drink a few beers (maybe a case) and try to sit through Yo Gabba Gabba or The Upside Down Show without breaking into tears of despair.

Disney distributes (or owns, not quite sure) Pixar and Miyazaki movies. Try one of those and say it's by Disney. They'd get a kick out of anything Pixar, and probably Ponyo from Miyazaki.

But yes, Disney films these days (Excepting the mighty Pixar) are going downhill, fast. I doubt we'll be seeing another Jungle Book or Fantasia level of quality for quite some time.
Fantasia + Fantasia 2000 are supposed to be out this year, December - are you hyped? I am.

I love Yo Gabba Gabba - not so much the show but at least the concept. Also, it's the only kid's show in which Elijah Wood shares his 'Dancy-dance' with a bunch of costumed monstrosities.
