"Certainly not sir, it is an honor to command in the name of the Emperor. I would suggest that we send a group of men to the planetary capitol," Galt turns to Brother Solus, "flash your badges or just muscle your way inside, subtlety won't be an issue with you. Once inside, try to dig up any information regarding the deployment of the Astartes. Meanwhile, I intend to personally observe the locals. I feel we can gain much from simply watching these country bumpkins go about their daily activity."

"Sounds good to me," the tech-priest states as he walks into the outer room to log into the computer. "Now lets just see what this computer says about this planet and the tasks of the missing marines." Teafo punches in a few commands looking for the past orders of the missing marines, What were they here for originally?

As Drang opened the door, the wave of noise englulfed the foyer of the inquisitor's lair. In less than a second, he was outside, idly leaning against a stretch of wall and speculating as to the crimes of the passing citezenry. Lurking in the deepening shadows, his garb shrouded him from all but the most curious of onlookers. Those that did look quickly averted thei eyes- it is unwise to look at any figure lurking in the shadows, let alone one so large he needs to duck under doorways.

Hmmm... no obvious chaos taint. Meh. Let's see what this rathole has for entertainment.

At that, Drang strode off to find a bar.

Solus nodded to Galt's order, believing it would be truly suited to solus' own... obvious authority. "Inquisitor Malin, where is this capitol, could you not arrange transportation?" Solus asked, before turning to the rest of the members of the team, "Is there anyone who will be joining me, Galt?"

"A trip to the capital would be nice, I haven't been able to meet with the Governor since I made planetfall. It would be nice to get his version of the story, most likely he's unaware of any Chaos taint but I would still enjoy extracting some information from him. I don't recall the dear Governor as a likable fellow. As for the locals, I feel that Drang will be able to observe the locals without arousing any dissident's suspicion."

Galt got up to gather his coat by the door.

"With your permission, Malin, I will be needing to requisition an APC and crew. My groundcar was not designed with the intention of ferrying an Astartes. Also, anyone deigning to postpone their investigation of the sites is more than welcome to join us. I can promise you'll enjoy this little excursion, my interrogation techniques have a most theatrical quality."

"I'll join, I could use the computers at the capital just as well as I can use them here," Teafo rejoined the others, the orders from the original crews in hand. "Looks like they were sent here originally to look for 'strange behavior.' That could mean just about anything."

Making sure his revolver-carbine was loaded, Teafo stepped outside, his pale skin not much use for keeping the sun from burning him, he decided to take a bit of shelter in Drang's shadow. By the Emperor, this guy is huge Teafo thought to himself. I'll just wait here for the APC, if we can get one...

That's okay, maybe we can put off so I can scout the area's bars/clubs/holes in the ground for info. And take the techie with me, if Teafo dosen't mind.

'Hey' said Drang, nudging the techpriest standing beside him. 'This rathole must have something to do on a saturday night- well, something not involving animals. Let's grab a drink.'

Galt stood outside the building, Inquisitor Malin appeared to be planning something, it looked like his trip to the capital would have to wait.

"You know Drang, I think one last night on the town wouldn't be a bad idea. Go to the local bars, rough up the locals, maybe even a 'disappearance' or two, it'll be a grand old time! Nothing like beating the truth out of the locals before a nice trip."

Drang's only reply was a growling, malevolent chuckle.

A few minutes later, the door to the town's one (and only) bar swung open. Inquisitor Galt stepped in, his heavy boots striking the wooden floor with a low clunk, audilbe throughout the bar as the music was strangled mid-note and every face turned to stare...

"Yeah, a drink sounds good," Teafo decided it would be to his benefit to stay near the imposing giant, and followed Drang and Galt into the bar. The silence following Galt's entrance was enough to tell him that the people knew that we were not people to be messed with, or that they are all suspicious about something. Let's see how this plays out

Sorry guys for taking so long to post, I just moved and don't yet have a reliable internet connection at the new apartment. Just have to walk onto the nearby college campus and borrow their wireless for now... Hopefully will have solid internet up and running soon though, I will still try to check up on here at least once a day though.

Yup, most of my charecter was built out of the inquisitor rulebook- not from DH. Some of the stuff comes from the codices mind.

Drang stepped in last, eyeing the sullen, edgy crowd now turning to stare at them. He returned their stony, angry glowering with a malevolent, cruel leer, provoking a few shudders amongst the crowd, the odd whisper going around in their barely-intelligble dialect of the name of what he took to be the local predator.

'So' he whipsered sidelong to Galt. 'Ask nicely, or should I burn this ************ down?'
