Effort put in does not decide the price of games, it may be a port but that doesnt change that it was made in the first place, logically that would dictate the price would be the same across the board for fair responsibility of paying the costs. My issue is that they are shifting all of the cost of the DLC onto the console gamers so that they can make good with the new PC market. They would charge the same $60 DLC or no DLC because they always do. I dont want to be marginalised anymore than PC gamers do and this is exactly that. Im paying a high price so you dont. Sorry if that offends you, gennuinely, but its how I feel about this. The amount of hostility on display here is why I am not fond of those who whine about 'consolisation' and consoles getting primacy, they are fine with inequality so long as they benefit/arent on the receiving end.Midgeamoo said:Well I didn't say that, I'd say its acceptable for both if there's a time delay, after all, it's not a new game, it's a port. I'd feel ripped off if I paid full price for a port of a 1 year old game, because there's considerably less work in porting a game than there is making it.Stripes said:This is inequality across platforms, it is not acceptable when consoles get a better deal but apparently it is when PCs get a better deal. Thats illogical, it is not hard.
I'd say it's even fair for the prices to be different on simultaneous releases, because there's a lot less hoops to jump through for a PC release than on console.
