I took the time to look at a bunch of those and frankly I don't see the problem in half of them.
So, you're okay with ridiculous phantom range, then. Many people aren't. Especially in a game like this.

As for me, as soon as ADP reaches a decent level, you roll through most of those attacks. Problem solved.
This isn't a solution. It's a workaround to a problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place. It shouldn't be that either you have invincibility frames to dodge the hitbox using them, or else you're hit in a 360 degree, 15 feet radius from where the enemy stands. It's bullshit!

I like how you take a thread from six months ago and use it to justify your point, when the game has received, oh I don't know, ten or so patches? FROM has fixed the hitbox issues, for a long time. If you're still having trouble rolling through attacks, then maybe you should try dumping some points into adaptability.

Oh yeah? I remember asking about two months ago if the hitboxes were already fixed. I got a definitive no from all the users.

Quick question.

What the hell is this DLC? It just seems to be showcasing a shitload of areas I've already visited, and bosses I've killed. I haven't finished the game yet so I don't recognise everything, but aren't some of the displayed things just from the previous DLC? Dark Souls 2 disappointed me too I'm afraid, they made combat overly complicated and the lore isn't half as interesting. In DS1 you fought the Gods of the world and slew ancient beasts that had created magic/demons etc. in DS2 you kill a headless snake woman and some giant golden action figures, and then all the flavour text is just wanking off over things from DS1. It just makes me think "Well why aren't I playing the superior DS1?". The thing that upset me the most is that you don't open a chest and just get a full set of armour any more, that shit felt like Christmas in DS1. Nope instead you have to grind for about two hours to get a full set, FUCK OFF Dark souls 2 you suck, where are the awesome hooded warriors in the trailer?

Also I have to agree that pvp is fucked. Mostly just because you get these sad bastards who have enough time on their hands to slog through the game as a bloody mage and then spend hours perfecting a mage build, because of that one broken spell which flings an undodgeable purple insta-kill mess at you. I don't say this often but seriously get a life, practising at a game and winning through skill is great, spending hours of time to set up a character that is shit in all other ways but has one insta kill is pathetic. DS1 had this issue it was bloody pyromancy, massive aoe spells you can't dodge. There just seems to be a greater prevalence of dickheads in DS2.

If anyone is upset with me for being salty don't worry. I play this game offline have done since dark souls 1, don't care if that makes me casual. I'd much rather be casual than deal with the purple insta-kill blobs.

It puzzled me, too. It seems it isn't a DLC, but a reedition of the game for the newer consoles and PC, kinda like GTA V. It'll be released on the older gen as well. So basically it's a cash grab. From went to a new low with this. All it took was to remove Miyazaki from the project director's chair.

Typical. Well I may think about getting the Prepare to pay edition (or whatever they are calling the complete edition) in 2015. But I'm done with the souls series until DS3 comes out and gets good reviews.

I just hope Bloodborne is good.

Really bad tactics imho. Look at Dark Souls 2 - all the good reviews everywhere, while the game is, delicately speaaking, disappointing.

Fair point actually. I hesitate to say I'm completely done with the souls series, as I find the lore intriguing and DS1 was a truly stellar game.

To all the delusional fanboys telling themselves, and other people, this game has no hitbox problems, I present, yet again, this Reddit thread full of gifs and videos proving that this game is basically broken when it comes to hit detection and is in a desperate need of fixing, and just because they were lucky not to have it happen doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Although I love DS2 (not as much as DemS oder DS1, but stil) I can atleast confirm the blue stab of the Persuer. That think still has really akward range.

The pursuer is my cryptonite. He has my number. For some reason I find him incredibly hard. The dual Pursuers to me are the hardest boss in the game.

But even I can manage to reliably evade the blue stab. Unless you want to (spoiler alert: unless they fixed it, the second pursuer leaves the fight when you get stabbed)

Found Dark Souls 2 bland, boring and generally a poor imitation of the other two souls games. Does not interest me at all, and anyone who has not tried Dark Souls 2 should take precaution and heed the warnings before jumping into this purchase.

Considering that all of the actual new content is being released for free [http://bandainamcous.tumblr.com/post/103526088996/were-very-excited-to-announce-dark-souls-ii], this would have to be the worst cash grab ever. Anybody saying that it is one has no idea what the hell they are talking about. The only features that are not explicitly mentioned are the graphical update and increase to the number of phantoms that can be in a game - that, I presume, is because of technical limitations on the 360 and PS3's part.

Anyone who already owns the game is getting more for it. The only ones who have to fork over any money are the ones who have either never bothered with it before, or own the console version but want the rerelease for the shiny graphics.

It's still a cash grab. Only some of the features are making their way to the DX9 version for free. They're minor fixes, mostly. Apart from the graphics upgrade, they're making separate servers for the new version, so you still have to pay if you want to be up-to-date with PvP stuff. That includes PC as well. If forcing people to purchase an entirely new version, for full retail price, just for graphics & performance updates isn't a cash grab, then I don't know what it is.

the insane amount of latency that makes Dks1 look next gen, and the clearly broken weapons
You are possibly the only person I've ever seen that had less lag on Dark Souls 1 then 2. Nearly everyone I've seen has agreed it has far better netcode. I've never even been lag backstabed before in Dark Souls 2, when I constantly had 30m lagstabs in Dark Souls 1.
Well that's because backstabbing works differently in this game, so it's hard to classify them as lagstabs.

I call them face stabs. And yes I agree it does have far better net code... for co-op. Invasions on the other hand, can range from good, to moonwalking weapons hitting you from 8 miles away ZA WARUDO levels of lag in this game.
The amount of Dks2 content uploaders have centered around the game's "dedicated servers" is insane... funny, but insane.

Personally i'm cautiously optimistic for this update, but since I have all the DLCs and am getting this update for free (oh, and uh... Bloodborne...), interested in the possible changes coming is all I'll be...
pls bring the E3 lighting back...
It's not all actually free, parts of it is free, the rest purchased (as far as we know) through....well basically repurchasing the game.
I can see the improved shiny graphics and lighting obviously not being free for PS3/Xbox yeah, but this thing isn't coming out till April. If anything aesthetics, NPCs, balancing out weapons, and other measly contrived things will be in the update as to AVOID from it looking like a total cash grab. I doubt they're that greedy (eeeeh... a bit) to force the next gen version on us when the intentional version is barely a year old.
If they wanted to force next gen on us the update shouldn't even be an alternative option for PS3/Xbox, so again, with the long stretch till April, I'm not hoping for everything, but for A LOT from this update.

The link under the video says:

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be launching in the Americas on April 7, 2015 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC/Steam (DirectX 9/DirectX11)!

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will include the three previously released DLC packs - Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the ivory King - along with additional features.

All versions of the game will include the following features (Existing Dark Souls II owners will receive a patch to implement these elements):

Additional NPCs added for an enhanced story experience.
Parameter adjustments for improved game balance.
Augmented item descriptions.
Improved online matchmaking functionality.
Xbox One, PS4, and DirectX 11 versions of the game will include the following features (in addition to those listed above):

Additional upgrades to graphics, sound, performance.
Increase in maximum online players in single session (6 total).

I'm happy to get free content,

but as I play on PC and already own the DX9 game plus all DLC will I have to re buy the whole game + DLC to get the DXll graphics features + improved multiplayer?

hardly seems fair or worth it to me.

Have a look at this [http://steamcommunity.com/app/236430/discussions/0/624076027426323183/] thread. It contains extractions from NeoGaf with translations from the original Japanese Namco site.

I understood about 10 words in that trailer. Seriously, couldn't they have hired a voice actor who could speak clearly?

Oh well. I read up on it, and am super hyped. Especially for the price!

I wouldn't hold your breath on the hitbox fix. They never fixed Ceaseless's 30 foot wide mostly invisible instant death testicle in Dks 1.
