Oh i got so many stories, mainly panicked ones, and weird ones.
Around 30hrs ago in the game i had beaten in my first go and alone Queelag, rang the bell and sat down infront of the chaos saint, it was a happy hr, but i needed some upgrades in my weapon, by the time the drake sword; so i headed upstairs by the wheel got past the fat mobs and out of the cave into the Dragons Valley.
It was the second time i went thro them, since i have already tried it by the dark basin route and killed the hydra; and sadly experiemnted i was no match for them.
Since this section is no wehere near a valley, more like a cliff with one-man or in this case one-girl wide paths. I decided to go and see if i could get some items. And indeed, there were 3 items, together and a suspiciously looking rock behind them half falling from the cliff.
So i walked with shield up, and as i got near i saw the supposely rock was in fact a dead dragon, i thot it was the red dragon i killed since i saw the bridge up there. So very very slowly i inspected the dragon, it look very dead i surrounded it got near, looked at the skull, stood before it thinking it will jump back to life, but it didnt moved, so yeah i said out loud:"its very dead" and proceeded to pick the nearest item. And then the dragon indeed jumped to life and i jumped and screamed "its alive!!! its alive!!!" and the dragon proceeded to pick me up and bang me to the floor with me screaming "leave me alone!!! leave me alone!!!" i stood up and ran panicly with all my stamina to the cave entrance and thro the bridge, that it happened to be not very wide, so in my panicked moment i misssteped n died. LOL

Went back to the queelag fire n explored the lower area of the blight city and found the tree root to go down the -big hole- and into another hydra that could fly and i got water tosted. After some tries of killing it unsuccesfully i ran all the way and i saw a big -bahamut-like-dragon infront of me, so i said "awsome an hydra on the rear chasing me and a big dragon in my front, just awsome" but it happened to be an npc so i did the Everlasting dragon conv. With my ran back to bonefire the day ended in a happy way and a declared revenge to the new hydra and the dead cliff dragon.

20hrs into the future, i was finished by my first encounter with Seath the scaless, and happened to be transported to another area when i was cursed. So finished the libarary but didnt knew where to go, i went into humanity mode and called some phantoms they helped me to open the secret gates to the crystal cave. Yet they were going tooo fast (they were japaneese >,>) and in the crystal cave i saw them run/walk over nothing, over the very void, i first thot.....oh god thats a glitch or lag or both. But i noticed several orange signs over nothing, so i armed myself with bravery and ran thro it, voicing out "im going to die, im going to die" but no, i was supposed to do that, and also another 2 times as well. Finally we arrived at boss Seath chamber, but either my blue phantoms were too slow, they didnt knew or i was too stupid that neither ran to break the crystal that allows u to damage seath. And so we all died. Some 3 tries later and 2 curses, i arrived to Seath, cut its tail, rolled and ran and killed him alone. :D

Since the section was tricky and i suffered much, i stood for good 5 hrs helping as a blue anyone that needed it. I still go to help from time to time and get a good 20k souls reward plus cutting the tail for my host :)

Another 5hrs in the future i was in the Tomb of giants, a very nitemare without a properly ascended weapon and the lantern. I had avoided that area for hours due to the no more than 1 foot visivility. Fortunatetly on that run i founf the very welcomed lantern, suffered with the doglike skeletons and the baby skeletons to arrive into Nito's boss chamber.
And hell that boss is hard.
After three tries of what i call -recognition runs- instead of total failures. I figured i had to ignore the surrounding skeletons, run and roll like crazy around the stalactite colum (to avoid the blade of nito and out run the skeletons) run to the side when the sound of nitos blade going underthe floor to implale u and runb like hell with nitos aoe goes off, and also hit him with all might when he finishes said aoe.

After figuring that the second try, and nito was truly dead, and i killed him by myself :D. That was the boss i felt more accomplished than anyother.

Hopefuly i dint tired u all with my panic stories hehe.

Once your through Blighttown you reach the bottom where the swamp poisens you? head to the right and up a tree path. you will reach a dead end. hit it with your sword and it dissapears. i only found it as someone left a marker in front with attack here :)

The place with the plank shield? I knew I should have told the wall what city I am from (SPARTA!!!!). That reminds me....

I was in New Londo Ruins and I saw a dregling standing by a ledge. I was overcome with the urge and couldn't resist. I went up behind him and Sparta Kicked him off the edge. I take every chance I can to give an enemy the "Sparta Treatment."

Ah, the giant rat. It's so much harder when you're trying to do hit and run on it with a knight. I also really need to work on my parry timing. Died far too many times to the butcher.

I have a cheap story. So, there I was, about ready to challenge the gargoyles, when I, in human form, noticed Solaire's sign. Rejoicing, I continued on, only to encounter another player's sign right in front of the fog. Counting myself lucky, I summoned him and head out to face the gargoyles...and ended up doing one hit because they did all the work, even the tail.

well the thing that as amused me the most is i have been invaded by the same guy atleast a dozen times now and he i just not taking the hint that he sucks, ever time he invades i stab him twice and hes dead, the best part of it was tho i got to invade him when he entered the forest about twenty minutes after his last invade and gots to kill him, which made me smile because he had just sent me a private message saying he only lost because playing as a phantom is so much harder haha made me smile

Persistance is the key to victory, if that doesn't pay off make bad excuses?

One of my absolute favorite moments so far in this game occurred in Anor Londo.

The part where you have to run the gauntlet up a flying buttress with no fencing, and it's extremely easy to fall off. While you are doing this, two giant archers are shooting at you with those massive demon arrows. When you reach the top, you have to turn right and run on a narrow area and try to fight one of the giant archers in order to hop down a ledge and enter the main castle through a window.

I was raging so bad at this part, and when i finally succeeded after at least 10 tries, there was a bit of orange text on the ground beneath the troublesome bastard with the arrows and the bow, i read this text and one word appeared...

miscreant.

I laughed so hard.

Another story I thought I should post.
You know the zombie who throws the firebombs just outside Firelink Shrine? We all hate that guy, right? He pissed me off so many times when I was a low level!
But now, Soul Level 27, the tables have turned. As I said, I beat The Depths in no time at all, and when I returned to Firelink I was pleased to find a pyromancer trainer. I spent 7000/8000 souls on a new spell, Fire Orb.
And now, every single time I kill that zombie, I say to my TV ''Call that a firebomb? THIS, is a firebomb...'' and blast that ************!

My favorite story was invading peoples games over and over, and one time there were 3 of them and just one of me.

It was in Anor Londo and they were climbing the front staircase. I was on my lvl 45ish pure mage. I used homing crystal soulsmass + soul spear to instant kill the first player while his back was turned. I hit for 1500 damage. The second and third saw me and it was a 2v1 fight. I used greater combustion on one of them when he got too close and the last person and me dueled for a while. Him constantly running away to heal, and me trying to sneak mage shots past his giant shield. In the end there was only me. I got 3 humanities and over 150k souls. I call that a win.

Of course sometimes I don't win. One time it was a 2v1 and my phantom spawned with a giant 2handed player on each side watching me spawn. They 1 hit killed me before I could even move.

This is what I've been doing recently in Dark Souls.
It's been fun.
I saw a video of a guy doing a whole Street Fighter playthrough (Two of those gauntlets, no armor except for thief's pants I believe, only magic used is fireball) on NG++. It was awesome. Edit: It was actually different kinds of hand to hand weapons, but the same idea.

Sunday night I beat the final boss. I was having difficulty with him, until I decided to spend all my remaining Green Shards on upgrading a longsword to Fire Longsword +10. Still killed me pretty fast, so I summoned Solaire to help with the fight for good measure. He couldn't do any damage at all, but he managed to distract the boss so I could get a few good hits on him. Beat the final boss, Solaire somehow survived with a sliver of HP and despite only doing like 10 damage per hit, he got the finishing blow. Solaire is awesome.

On my new playthrough as a Pyromancer, I got to the first bell without dying once. (Unless you count the suicide run I did at the very start to get the good items from the graveyard in Firelink Shrine.)

lost izalith...there are no words of utter hatred i can use to describe this level...WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!?
I don't regret grinding the 30 humanity to use that shortcut, and honestly, I still hated the level.

I was fine with the other gimmicky levels (Tomb of Giants and the Crystal Caves) but Lost Izalith sucked hard.

I remember my depths and blighttown experience.

"uh oh this level sounds really really hard. The depths have a ton of curse frogs and blight town is filled with toxin-inflicting enemies, poison swamps and a lot of opportunities to fall off. This is going to be annoying. Oh wait i have the master key.

15 minutes later

OK so i just pull this lever and *gong gong* OK there's the second bell. Bye poison swamp."

Really, I didn't think the terms 'Dark Souls' and 'Story' could be used in the same sentence.

OK, I have a story, a story about how my character found a place to live.

I'll admit I jumped on the Demon's Souls bandwagon when that was released, and managed to borrow Dark Souls for a few days. I'm all up for open world and not having my hand held, but christ, a little frigging clue on where I'm meant to be going please! All I get is some vague hints be this depressed dude about ringing some bells (or I cant even remember if I read about that on the internet) and thats it. "So one of them is up and the other one is in 'the Depths' huh? Right, lets go find these suckers, shall we?" I think. Well, I opt to go down first (this is from the shrine after first getting dropped off). Find an elevator, go down, get off in Darksville where these mooks are clawing at the walls. "I remember these dudes from Demon's Souls. They're easy, but best watch yourself." After murdering these bastards (heartlessly kicking some of them off the cliff edge) I continue going down. "Rickety bridge huh? Best be careful." Head across this to some ruins. Then this fucking spectre warps up out of the floor. "Fuck! That thing looks like it could One Hit Kill me! Fuck that, I haven't even leveled up yet!" So off I run, back across the bridge and back up to through Darksville. Well, I find a door that leads through to this chasm. "Best be careful here" thinks I, "I don't want to fall off and lose the few meagrte souls I'll managed to harvest so far." A bit of exploration later, I find a passage with these two giants in it ("If those spectre things can one hit kill me, I'm sure these bastards can too") and so I go along the other side of the chasm. "Whats that thing over there? Is that a rock? Nope, looks like a dragon. Looks dead too. Is it dead?" Obviously having played Demon's Souls I'm wary, so after staring at it for about five minutes for even the slightest hint of movement, I approach. Cautiously. "This thing IS dead. Its practically a skeleton." I still dont trust it however, due to the corpses and their enticing loots. The corpses look a lot fresher than the dead dragon thing. Still, fortune favours the bold. I managed to get the loot from under the dragons in Demon's Souls by grabbing and running, surely I can do the same here.

Seems like fortune much prefers the cautious. or the uber-levelled. Because I grab one lousy sword before the fucking thing wakes up. "Fuck! Run!" Sadly, my hollow empty eyed corpse isn't fast enough, and the dragon thing splats me all over the chasm wall.

After respawning, I head back down to see if I can reclaim my souls, but as soon as I get anywhere near it starts puking at me. "Well, it was only a few hundred, surely I can make that back again easily, right?" so i head back up to the shrine.

"Well, it looks like the depths are out (see, I didn't even know that the depths were elsewhere, because I had to read about it on the net), so lets go up shall we?" Several embarassing deaths later, at the hands of half dead mooks, I come to this castle, more skeletons, and another bonfire. "Hooray! a checkpoint! Sure, everything'll respawn (again, the internet) but I get to save!" And that is how this room became my home. Because christ I couldn't get any further. Sometimes I'd get very very lucky and fight my way through to the next white light, but I only made it there twice. The first time I killed the archers and then the Taurus Demon comes out and One Hit kills me, the second I figure I'll use the same tactics I did in the prison, climb up the tower and dive sword first into his face. But the fucker only goes and jumps up there with me. And One Hit Kills me.

So yeah, I got hideously bored of just doing the same section over and over again without even knowing if I'm going the right way. Like I say, I don't mind a challenge (though looking back, i have no idea how I managed to complete Demon's Souls) but when I don't even havea hint of a quest to follow then I don't really see the point in playing...

Smough and Ornstein:
Havel's Armor + Dark Knight Halberd+5 = Fatty goes down without a fuss and Ornstein follows suit.
Then I hurled a fireball at Gwynevere, sucker has 1 HP. Then shit hits the fan.....

NOTE: This is not a valid tactic for everyone. I'm a master at tanking impossible odds.
Ah I have black iron armour and the greatsword of Artorias +3. I never managed to kill Smough first, I always got zapped by Ornstein when I tried. And you killed Gwynevere? You bastard! She gave you the lordvessel and everything...

... does she drop anything cool?

Entering Lost Izalith.

99% of the floor is lava and when you enter there's a basically a town meeting of giant zombie dragon legs. Oh, and the first few of these you'll have to fight while keeping yourself standing on 3-foot wide tree branches.

And then you have to fight the Bed of Chaos. *sigh*

Dark Souls asks so much yet gives... not so much.
