After killing Goddess of the sun, Goddess of the Night comes out. Gwyndolin straight up tells you that you are done, and that she'll be waiting. You get no info on the nightmare that is losing to her. You learn for yourself! (Best mage boss ever though)
Is that the guy in the tomb at the bottom? If so I think that might go against my covenant, I'm with him.

I don't know if it's a tomb, but after Gwynevere is dead a door opens where a statue of Gwyn used to be at the very very very very bottom of the elevator.
And if you're in the covenant of the white, I'm almost positive it's against your charter.
You can remove the statue by equipping the Darkmoon Seance ring too. You go downstairs and stand outside the fog door til a voice tells you not to go in or die horribly then gives you an option to join Blades of the Darkmoon.

I'll tell my sad tale from last night. Just hanging out trying to get summoned for the gaping dragon when I get invaded. I've played demon souls so wasn't too worried about fighting another person, so I decide I will wait for the invader by the bonfire in the depths. He runs straight at me and I swing but my sword goes straight through him like he were one of the ghost people in the forest. Then I get to watch him burn me to death with a single combustion spell.

So any one experienced with the dark souls invasions able to give me any clues for why this strange ghost man invaded me and was immune to being hit.

probably won't affect much, but I am only lvl 30 and had a fire longsword.

Probably had high poise. He'd have still taken damage though, he just wouldn't stagger backwards.

probably should have also mentioned that he took no damage, and was also slightly transparent.

That's the ring of fog, it makes it so you can't target him. He probably would take damage if you hit him.
well balls that does seem to be what it was, just no clue how i could have missed the swing, he was charging down a should width hallway at me and i did a horizontal swing as he came out the doorway. thanks though looks like i may need to practice some with out locking on.... YAY!!

Good news, word is that an upcoming patch will make it so that you can lock on to people wearing it.
Good, if they fix that and switch over to the demon souls servers then I will love them long time. Multiplayer has really been the only thing I haven't liked from dark souls.

The only fun story I have is the time someone caught me on a very bad day.

I was going through the poison swamp for the seventh or eighth time because the boss--the spider queen--kept killing me, even though it was an easy fight. Kept screwing up. On top of that, I had the cat ring on, so I kept getting summoned to fight intruders and they kept killing me, making me go all the way back to the last campfire and then have to walk all the way back to the boss. Apparently everyone else knows how the play this game way better than I do. I was very angry about all of this, so much so that I was gritting my teeth and swearing as I marched through the swamp.
Anyway, I'm walking along and all of a sudden is says, "So and So has invaded your world!" I was like, 'Well that's just freaking GREAT! There goes my humanity and all of my souls. God, I hate this game!' I decided that I'm make a made dash for the boss. If the person wanted to fight me, they'd have to come and get. As I'm running the person literally starts appearing directly in front of me. I didn't even give them a chance. "You picked the wrong day!" I shouted at the screen and immediately started beating them with my pole. They didn't even get to stand up before the first hit connected. The panicked and backed up, directly into the swamp. That caught them off guard and they tried to run forward, but I was still there. Since I was already poisoned, it made no difference to me. I dove in and slaughtered them. The fight lasted all of ten seconds. Made me feel better.

After lots and lots of trial and error I finally made my way to a fog gate. Entered it, saw a huge boss with two gigantic swords and felt really pumped up. One second later I was dead.

I hate this game so much.

Story time~

Just joined up with Blades of the Darkmoon covenant, trying my hand at pvp. I'm hanging out on the bridge in Anor Londo (which I later find out is a pvp hotspot for the 70+ range) spamming my Blue Eye orb, and manage to finally find someone to invade.

Once I zone in, I see that the rotating platform is still up. Someone hasn't progressed very far just yet... but I knew where he'd be. So I take the detour up the railing and climb the ladder to the very very narrow walkways in the church. And who's waiting for me but my target, standing in the middle platform (the one with the chain for the chandelier .)

I take a few pop shots with my bow, not expecting to do any real dmg. Slowly start making my way over, finally get to about where he is. He starts brewing a fireball in his hand, but before he can get it off, he gets a nice Thunder Spear to the chest. Twice. In doing so, he stumbles backwards and falls off the walkway, plummeting to his death. But apparently my second swing of the spear cut the chain, so the chandelier crushed him as he fell.

That's been one of my favorite pvp spots ever since. And if given the opportunity and/or reason to do so (like the host has a phantom guard with him, making it 2v1) I generally run back and raise the platform, so the host has to take the detour. And that's where I wait.

So, today I've finally gotten into some serious PvP action. I was on NG+, on my way to kill Sif again, and I happened to enter the Darkroot Garden. Now, as I was in human form, I didn't have to wait long before I was jumped by an invader. This one was wearing a Fog Ring, so I thought; two can play that game, and equipped my own ring. I was wearing full Havel set but the other guy was packing some serious weaponry (big fiery axe, didn't know exactly what it was), but he was easily dispatched by my Demon's Spear +5 (backstabs).

Immediately a second one jumped me, but he probably saw that I was higher level (I was firing off Homing Crystal Soulmasses) so he ran off into the woods. I didn't feel like chasing him so I camouflaged myself into a shrub and waited for him to come back. He didn't, but some other guy did. Walked straight past me, so I ran up and put three Crystal Soul Spears in his back (I would have paid good money to see the look on his face).

I changed back into a bush, hoping the other guy would return when he heard of the other one's demise. He did. I could have sworn he did a double take when an innocent looking shrub took a stab at him. He was wearing a Fog Ring, but I dispatched him after a short melee (he didn't even hit me). Immediately another one jumped in, but he was very low level, so I flattened him with a single Crystal Soul Spear.

And then peace returned to Darkroot Garden and I proceeded to kill Sif (he didn't stand a chance against my Demon's Spear). It was a good day.

On my first day of playing, my first excursion took me to the Undead Burg, Paranoid of my obvious squishyness, I took to creeping around corners with my shield drawn, checking every nook to make sure nothing was going to flank me if i let my guard down. I reached a Tower at the base of a downward ramp, resolved to check the tower after i looked down the ramp.

Peering over my shield and down the ramp i saw two skeletons, they hadnt seen me yet. Okay, good, I have a chance to check out that tow *fwip* GWAHH ARROWS IN MY SPINE. There was an archer at the top of the tower i was about to turn around and check out.

In a fit of rage akin to "Dont land on parkplace dont land on parkplace... *BOARDFLIP*" I charged up the towers spiral staircase, Shield discarded, sword in a 2hand grip, and threw that fucker off his roost. I then regained my composure, and headed back down to the skeleton ramp, to get brutallized by a dude with a spear chain-breaking my oh so careful guard.

I haven't played much since, because my Old TV makes it impossible to read stat descriptions and im looking to get a better TV now. So thats the best ive got. ^_^

I bought the game on Sunday and picked the Knight class because I thought that the extra durability would help a lot.

Little did I know that it also meant that I move like an obese man after a marathon, and the extra durability isn't helpful against bosses who can flatten you in one or two hits regardless of how much health you have. Currently trying to huff and puff my way past the first real boss of the game (the demon on the bridge in the Undead Burg) and it's pretty ragetastic.

I was outside the Giant Golem boss fight in Sen's Fortress grinding to level up by helping other players. Then I notice my summon sign has disappeared, and a couple seconds after I am greeted with the message ????????? has invaded. Soon enough I barely see him enter the room. He is wearing the ring of fog of course. Since I can't lock on I decide that I am going to use a move he can't possibly avoid. Switching to my level 13 pyromancy flame, I cast Fire storm. I score a direct hit on the jerk and he falls over. He recovers fairly quickly and uses poison breath but misses me entirely. My opponent is scared he doesn't want to screw this up so he is turtling behind a pillar. I see my opening and move in and cast Fire Whip. He blocks the initial attack but he obviously hasn't seen the spell before because he starts to wind up for a counter attack, little does he know that fire whip strikes twice and I hit him a second time, taking him out.

Then he has the nerve to rage and send me a message, even though he was attacking me. His message was:
"geek trash!"
To which I responded:
" :D thanks for the humanity!"

Its been a while since I beat someone so bad they felt compelled to send me a message. It felt good.
