Darwinsim V.S. Creationism

So I was having this arguement with people I working with. Keep in mind I live in Georgia so people are not smart here. It is just a matter or time before it is made fact instead of theory. There is so much evidence supporting it and none supporting the opposition.

Of course "it" is Creationism. That is what the topic of the thread is. As for not talking to people in the south, that is just a stupid comment. Streotyping if you will. There are alot of smart people from the south and saying there is not you are showing how stupid you are. Why do you all think Darwinism is not real? (Specific reasons please.)

It's called the THEORY of Gravity, because there's no way to proove 100% that gravity is actually why things are attracted to other things. It's called the Germ THEORY of disease because there's no way to proove 100% that people get sick because they are infected by microbiological organisms.

When are people going to realize that THEORY is different from HYPOTHESIS. When people say the Theory of Evolution, consider that on par with the Theory of Gravity and the Germ Theory of disease. If you're going to tell me that gravity and germs aren't real, I look forward to hearing your evidence.

Darwinism. Because Creationism is a lie. Used to make people fall in line and live by certain rules and guidlines with the promise of a reward or punishment. Is that clear enough Glerk?

They are called theories because they are falsifiable. That means that there is some possible observation that could be made that would demonstrate that they are false.

For gravity, that observation would be that objects do not fall down.

For evolution, that observation would be a plausible explanation for the various examples of evolution that are recorded. That explanation would also have to explain something new, that is inconsistent with evolution.

Creationism is a "fact" because there it is not falsifiable. There is nothing that a creationist can observe that would convince him or her that any different explanation works.


Personally, I can't take things on faith. I base my conclusions on evidence. And the evidence is clear. Things fall down.

Germs aren't real because the lord smites people with sickness because of their sins, and gravity is only the hand of god keeping you from floating into space and dying.

I guess I can't disprove that 100%, can I? What a cruel twist of fate, to find that nothing is ever 100%. I guess I'll just have to chalk all of life's mysteries up to "God did it," move on with life, and maybe say che sera, sera a couple of times.

It's not cause we disagree its cause both your threads are not"up to par" we had a earlier evolution thread that was much more in depth in discussion material, talking about speciation or something like that.

Saying Creationism vs evolution go, isn't really the best thread material.
