If Relic had been the ones to actually design Soulstorm, it might have fared a lot better.

If Soulstorm had been designed rather than a half-arsed copy and paste, it might have fared a lot better.

All I have to say to this is, ONE HUNDRED BANEBLADES LOST and SORCERERS OF KHORNE!

SIIIIINDRIIIIII!

While it might be a decent game, I can only begin to imagine the sheer amount of rage it will generate when they manage to screw up the lore.

I find it funny that you are both right.

@Darthracoon

The gore engine is improved, and so are finishing moves. I think bits of armor can get knocked off as well.

Well, it sounds risky to be taking a step away from the tradition of bases in RTS but considering that it might come out at the same time as SC2 and Halo Wars, it sounds as though it will be quite interesting to see how it fairs in the eyes of the critics. Regardless, I am still going to give it a try, but that is because I play Tyranids in the Table Top and grow tired of not having a similar army in the RTS.

Where did they say they were removing Chaos and Necrons?

Uhm... Am I the only Eldar player here? Bloody mon-keigh...

Anywho, it looks like a good bit of fun, and oddly enough I find it good that they're taking out the base-building. It makes it just that much closer to the tabletop.

"What? Why would I pay a thousand dollars for 3000 points of Eldar? I can use 5000 points for the price of a bloody video game!"

"Sir, we're losing money!"

"Wha? Oh no! Here, every miniature kit costs half as much as they used to!"

Ah.... If only, if only.

DoW is, i think, the only game i own which ive never played. EVER. I got it shipped with Company of heroes, which i loved, so immediately gave it to my kid brother as i'd rather play the modern pretty RTSs (shallow, i know, shush) ive got stacked up. He loved it so whether or not i buy this game it'd end up in my house so hopefully ill be able to kill all your minions so verry soon :D
