Just finished two weeks of mandatory Driver's Education classes recently (first time license and I'm 21. Public transportation FTW) and pretty much went home dreaming of a pint every single day. It was the combination of being in a class with 15-17 year olds, listening to the 'teacher' harp on about drunk driving, and the fact that about half of the mandated 30 hours of classtime was filler fluff. Then, after class, I would have to walk 30 minutes to get home, which worked to exacerbate my cravings quite well.

I drink nearly every day, and I'm beginning to think I have a real problem. They can't stock beer fast enough at the liqour store! Ha! Ah...

Yep, I've had many days like that. I ended up cutting up my ID just so I'd stop buying liquor.

I could talk about some incredibly depressing shit, but honestly, drinking when you're depressed really isn't all that much fun. It is terribly, compulsively, obsessively, addicting, however, and really should be avoided at all costs.

Now drinking on a night when you're having a blast however? With the right mixture of drugs and alcohol, you can turn a normal night out into a magical adventure that you'll never forget.

Although it's more likely to be a magical adventure you won't remember.

Yeah most weekends I drink and if I had a really bad day but then again if I liked wine I would probably drink almost every night, my parent are firm believers that dinner is not complete with out 1 to 2 bottles of wine.

Yup. And if you're like me you'll feel like shit in the morning, going through that entire day with constant fear of having to throw up (which I often do).

But I think my binge drinking tendencies are actually quite healthy. Because each time I do it, I don't feel like ever touching alcoholic beverages for at least two weeks after (and sometimes even an entire month).

It's gotta be a lot more healthy than those who go out drinking every wedensday, friday and saturday and become completely shitfaced each and every time.

Seriously? I hope you know that by "completely shitfaced" I mean morning-after headaches and throwing up a lot. It would be physically impossible for me to even try going through that more than once a week, because each time I do it I find even the thought of drinking alcohol making me physically ill, and I have this huge craving for healthy food and drink like orange juice, yoghurt and fruit.

Can't help it but that's how I get after a really wet night out. Queasy, miserable and craving fruit and mineral water.

Hahaha. If you're getting that messed up, you should maybe tone it down a couple notches.

Yeah, I keep telling myself that. But I've noticed that the way I feel the day after isn't always about the quantity of drink but also the mixture of what I've been drinking. Like if I stick to just one thing (like whisky, which I like a lot) I tend to feel better than when I've been drinking all kinds of drinks. Which is of course a real danger when you're out with friends, bar crawling since they can order up a bunch of shots and just hand them out to everyone, and let's just say that there's not much consistency in the choices they make.

When you have a party at home or something you can stick with the beverage you've brought along or the relatively small assortment of drinks that is being offered. But when there's a creative bartender in the same premises, things can get ugly.

But most of the time it's worth it. As long as it's all in good fun, and it doesn't happen during several occasions in just one week. I need a good rebreather in between serious bar crawls. : )

I work at a gas station in a ghetto. Every day is like that. And I drink every goddamn day.

Fancy that! I work at a gas station in a ghetto. The shit you see in a place like where I work is enough to drive any man, or even woman, to drink excessively. I chose to pick up smoking weed instead, because it's a hell of a lot less likely to kill you.

And I really can't handle whiskey. I'm more of a scotch/rum/vodka kind of guy.

Most definitely. Ususally after several weeks work in the lab have managed to come to very litte. But such is the nature of research, so if I go by that, I'll be an alcoholic before I finish my current project =P. I don't actually drink much at all, but on some, occasional days, a whiskey and soda really does hit the spot...

That's about how I feel after work. A lot. My ridiculous customers are drunk the whole night and acting like morons (and not tipping), and blame me when they don't win anything. I would really like a drink after some of those nights. Or before I have to sing in my voice class sometimes lol

Not really. If I'm in a shitty mood I sleep it off. I always end up drinking out of indifference and boredom. "Meh.. could get drunk, I guess..."
