Eh. It looked okay from the trailer. In fact, I was really excited about it when I first saw it but the more I read/hear about it, the less it appeals to me.
I'm not really into co-op exclusive console games. From the trailer, I was expecting 28 Days Later in video game form. Not Borderlands with zombies.
Not that it would be bad, mind you. It just... doesn't look like something I'd really enjoy. Borderlands was extremely "meh" to me and that's what I hear everyone comparing this to so I'll wait for it to go on sale before I try it.

Did anyone get my steam friend invites? Just curious.
No.
I'm having trouble finding you. I searched for your name and it shows no results.
"mcnally86" I tried adding me and it said I cannot add myself. So I know that works.

I've got it, though due to work, I haven't had much chance to enjoy it. I have the next four days off though, in which I'm going to fucking destroy it.

I'm only ten percent in to the main story, but so far I'm really enjoying it. Its like Oblivion fused with Left 4 Dead, at least for the blunt weapons expert character. I've read from reviews that a lot of people felt it was very reminiscent of Borderlands.

But I recommend it to everyone. Its been very good to me thus far.
How is it that you have it?

Game store in my town (legally) breaks street date. They explained it to me once how they get around it, but I can't for the life of me remember.

Because no one leaked that they did on the internet? We have a small town game store but its seedy.

Sorry man, still can't find you. Try adding me. It seems my steam is being glitchy right now.

Edit: Never mind finally found you.

If I remember correctly, which I said earlier that I really don't, they buy their stock from a separate company that buys from the publisher/distributor/whoever the hell sells the games to stores, and that somehow lets them bypass street date. Something like that. They've assured me it 100% legal, and they have had companies try to take legal action, to no avail. It is a small business though (only three stores, all in the northern Ohio region).

So I've had pretty much any game I've wanted early for the past year. Halo Reach, Fable 3, Alan Wake, Marvel vs. Capcom, etc. etc. And now Dead Island (check my 360 game card on my profile here if you want to verify. Its the second game after MvC3).

It was funny. The day I got it, I was just playing around and ran into three other people all in a party. We joined up for a couple minutes and talked about how I had the game early. Me and three random Gamestop employees.

Thats pretty good. Don't gamestop employees get in trouble for that?

Not sure honestly, as I've never worked there. But my cousin has, and he said that on occasion, with new titles that don't have previous installments, or on titles that aren't as hyped up as the newest CoD, or Halo or whatever, sometimes employees are given a copy to test run for 24 hours a few days before its on the shelf, so they have some knowledge about the game. I'd assume more than just that one Gamestop does that.

I actually don't know if they take systems. I would assume yes. I just know a friend of mine traded some games and maybe movies for some coloring. That is coloring on a tattoo I first saw him getting in a trailer while high. Anyone who gets their tattoos started by the trailer to trailer needle salesman will get it finished anywhere.
