WARNING! THIS TOPIC WILL INCLUDE SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED DR2 AND DR2:CASE WEST PLEASE DO NOT LOOK!

What do you think will happen in DR3? Will we have a new protagonist? Will Frank and Chuck team up?

Also, what are your wishes?

NO.

SYSTEM.
Isn't....the whole 72 hour thing in which the player is forced to balance his time between scrounging weapons, finding survivors and finding out what happened to cause this whole mess the corner stone in Deadrising's gameplay?

Honestly, I preferred the 72 hour system. The Zombrex was a pain in the ass to balance in, but the friendly AI was much better then in Deadrising 1.

How about a survival mode that doesn't force you to horde food? How about a mode that just eschews the story and time limits and just has you running around killing zombies?

Well, since spoilers are already a given...
1. I'm hoping for the villianess (codename: Bitemark) at the end of Case West to give a better reason for her deeds than because she used to work at Umbrella, which looks to be the case.

2. The ability to carry around at least a little ammo. Guns aren't very useful anyway, I can understand Mr motocross champ not being an expert on firearms, but apparently all Frank learned covering wars was where to find the fucking trigger. (then again, he can use a butterfly trigger one handed, which I'm told is impossible)

3. It be nice if they could put in a "wait for next mission" function. I liked faffing about with zombie genocide by way of whatever I got my hands on, but sometimes you just want to get on with things, I think.

4. Some explanation as to how the hell Frank infiltrated Fortune city and found Chuck at just the right time. I'm aware that, of all the silly things in the story, that shouldn't bother me much, but still I find it vexing.

5. If they bring in a new protagonist, how about someone who's actually characterized to fit the part? You see anything wierd about frank or chuck doing the kind of crazy shit (moosehat charge) you can do, but always acting normal? Maybe I'm not phrasing it right, you know how the Boss in Saint's Row 2 was crazy as a soup sandwich? (trust me, all 6 voices have the same cutscene dialogue) That fit perfectly well as the kind of person that would go car surfing, assault someone with defibilators, or mix radioactive waste into tattoo ink.
I don't think Dead Rising has that, the protagonists we're given seem like sane, level-headed people most of the time, or is that just part of the joke?

EDIT: Damn, nearly forgot:
6. Balance out the fucking difficulty a bit.

7. Maybe make bosses more than "Whack when vulnerable, run away from their unbreakable attacks, repeat"

A "retry boss fight" button. Wading through an entire mall of zombies and having to go through 5 loading screens (2 being from cutscenes) just to fight the final boss again is just plain inexcusable.

If I were to make a general statement, bring the series into modern times. And include a free-roam mode for god sakes.

I'd like the way guns to work differently. Maybe one slot for the weapon and another for ammo, with each gun being able to hold a certain amount of ammo in one slot before needing another one. Oh, and a little but of gun customization would be nice.

I'd also like a way to build proper zombie barricades, like actually boarding up windows and placing objects in exact ways to create a barricade.

And for it to be set in a large town/city, not just a mall or Vegas style strip.

4 player co-op, perhaps with customizable characters?

Also, a rewind feature mite be a plan. Maybe just go back an hour or so in case you missed a story mission or something.

Other than that, not much. Dead Rising 2 is great to play so doesn't really need much adding to it.

1: No Zombrex. You can keep the time system, but the Zombrex part was just plain stupid. Either that or make the character need it, so they can inject it themselves.

2: Survival mode (no time limit) after beating the game. Once you finish the story, how about a way to just f*** around, killing zombies?

3: Better AI. The DR2 AI was better, but there still could be some improvements.

4: Explination as to how Frank got into Fortune City. Just a little to convenient...

5: Is it me, or is the company in the game starting to act a little too similar to the corporation of another well-known Capcom zombie sereies?

6: New character. The thing I liked about Chuck was that it gave another story, and then in Case West, it linked up with the established story. Just do it again, and have him/her meet Frank and Chuck afterwards.

7: More save stations. Bathrooms were very inconveniently located in DR2.

Edit:
8: Improved boss fights, with better difficulty curve. Sullivan was just drop-kick, dodge, repeat until dead, and TK was just find weapon, PWN. The dude in the bathroom was easily the toughest in the game, and he's only the third one available.

To all the people asking to remove the time system, you do notice that the time system is what makes dead rising dead rising right? If you want to just kill zombies with no time management go play resident evil, or left 4 dead but Dead Rising kind of NEEDS the time system otherwise they might as well make a whole other game series. Just because you dislike something doesn't mean it has to go. I personally, along with almost everyone I know who likes Dead Rising, enjoy the time system greatly and think the game would have no point without it honestly. Not everygame is for everyone, learn that and stop complaining.

Wait your saying they are making the company to much like umbrella from Resident evil yet you want them to make yet ANOTHER new character for DR3? Much like Resident evil's army of characters you see only once in awhile?

btw on topic (Forgot to add this last time) I personally would love for Dead Rising 3 to still have co-op but instead either make it Chuck and Frank or two new people, I didn't like the whole 2 Chucks thing in 2. I also agree save points were way to far apart, 1 per room was fine when the rooms were small in DR1 but now they are just too huge for there to be 1 per room. Other then that I don't really know honestly

I love the time system...

Anyway, fully realised Co-op. Bring in a choice of characters (Chuck or Frank) and just make it crazier.
