Man, it's hard to not get hyped about a Deadpool game...

Let's just hope it doesn't blow gameplay wise.
All they have to do is make it Devil May Cry/Metal Gear Rising-esque and it would work perfectly.

At least Nolan North doesn't sound exactly like Nathan Drake again.

And if the entire game has the same amount of personality that trailer had, it'll probably be a huge blast to play.
From what I've heard, they're going for a Devil May Cry/Batman: Arkham Asylum style for gameplay. Still not necessarily a bad thing!
I was on the fence about this, but if they're going for an Arkham Asylum style of game (Devil May Cry I'd rather not have) then I cannot possibly give them my money fast enough.

As someone who doesn't read comics, I think I kinda missed the joke here.

Is the character actually like that? Sort of Joker meets Spiderman permanently straddling the fourth wall?
Pretty much.
I think in one of the comics he Shorykuens some lady.
"Some lady"?!

That would be Kitty Pryde, Shadowcat of the X-Men, and he does it just to piss Wolverine off. It's his madness that makes him so adorable.

Oh god that ending! That nearly woke up half the house.

The saddest part about is:

"Platform: PS3/X360"

Yeah, gonna pass on that one.
Wait, there was an ERSB(Or whatever it's called) screenshot of the game on these forums, PC was listed in the platforms.
by the official site it seems they have decided to go with only those two

OT: holy god I am dieing laughing over here, I nearly wet myself when he was motorboting Cable

It was also rather awesome when he found out that Domino was scared of Chickens and used it against her.. xD
The symbolism is palpable!

I would get excited about this buuut...You know even with Batman proving games based on Super Heroes can be good...I?m still skeptical. I hope it's great, but I?ll just keep my hype up on the shelf and wait and see.

Deadpool is a character that is very, very easy to get so horribly, horribly wrong. I mean, look what happened to him in his modern run. Cable & Deadpool was the last good Deadpool comic. Then he suddenly got popular(Deadpool has a long history of getting cancelled due to poor readership), and Marvel wanted to capitalize on this by turning Deadpool up to 11. Mind you, Deadpool was already balls to the walls crazy and over the top as a character, but he also had depth, and while every page was a joke, they have simply taken it too far. I would almost say he pulled a reverse Joker. Just as the Joker was a comic relief villain as the 60's Adam West Batman spilled into the comics, and then got dark later, Deadpool started out as dark humor, an insane killer, and turned into ANIMANIACS: MARVEL EDITION.

If the game leans towards the newer run of Deadpool, the humor will get old really, really fast. If, however, they can find that incredible line between humor and serious(remember - Deadpool is not a clown. He is an insane murderer), and bring to life some of that Deadpool lts. series/Agent X/Cable & Deadpool style, then this will be awesome. Really, really fucking awesome.

I'm hopeful Deadpool is the shit. Although this trailer feels a little Duke Nukemy so I'm hold back some hype.

Looks like ima pass.

That trailer reminded me disturbingly of the DNF promotional material, the gameplay shown doesn't look anything special, and the effort to make it look like anything but a cheap hack job on a technical level seems to be somewhere between zero and 1 on a logarithmic scale that goes to 10 units. Terrible, terrible textures and models. It looks like one of those slew of cheap games running on Unreal 3, except made by someone who somehow cared even less.

Plus, that's entirely the wrong voice actor. Which is probably why I'm thinking more DNF than Deadpool. It was a terrible movie, but X-Men Origins: Wolverine has made me hear everything Deadpool says in Ryan Reynold's voice. It's not a bad thing. That voice is not playful, he is not talking to the audience, he is not self aware. He's grating.

Plenty of people will disagree with you on that point, I'm afraid. You see, that's Nolan North, one of the most recognizable voices in video game voice acting and pretty much the voice of Deadpool. North voiced him in both the Marvel vs Capcom 3 games.

Plus, I thought it was the widely considered notion that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a terrible movie and its representation of "Baraka-pool" was an outright farce.

Which is my first problem with him. When I think of Nolan North, I think of generic white guy #327. And I think mild and boring, and never a character. Tom Cruise is one of the most recognisable men in cinema. Choose him for Deadpool I would not, unless you could get some serious character out of him. You don't want the audience calling him by the actors name at the end.

Which I've never played and really don't care about. And one adaption (To be fair, in two parts) doesn't make you "The Voice" of anything. My problem is, if I'm listening to an internal monologue for the entire time, a conversation with the viewer, by a character who thinks the whole thing is a joke, because he knows he's in a comic, I think that Nolan North growling a little and laughing occassionally doesn't do it any favours. I always found the Spider-man comparison more appealing, and thought that the character's better voiced by someone who we can percieve as a joke. Instead of that, when I hear that voice, I hear him trying to talk himself up as a douchebag, and I think Duke Nukem. I don't think the guy in the Spiderman underwear. I don't think of what I think of as Deadpool. I don't think self-aware. I think a stereotype that isn't even aware he's a stereotype, thinking he's breaking sterotypes. Worse, I thought those gags all worked fairly well. My issue's with the delivery.

Plus, I thought it was the widely considered notion that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a terrible movie
You did read the part where I said that, right? I mean, explaining that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a terrible movie to me, after I said exactly that, as a caveat, is irritating. I used the exact words "Terrible movie". Really, this is becoming a trend. Do people finish reading what they put in their quotes any more? This should get put somewhere in the CoC.
and its representation of "Baraka-pool" was an outright farce.
I don't know what you mean by "Baraka-pool" but yeah, Deadpool in that sucked. But the moments in one of the earlier scenes where he actually talked gave me the feeling of the (Admittedly small) amount of Deadpool I'd read. Annoying to other characters, enjoying action, arrogant, snarky and flamboyant. Sure, about half of his screen time is an abomination of Deadpool who can't even talk, let alone address the audience, who plays Terminator for 5 minutes before getting killed by what I think was the same trick that Creed used on Will.I.Am (When they put that man in a movie, he doesn't deserve a character name), but that brief glimpse previously was what I was thinking.

But hey, you can like that one, and I can not like him. I don't see why my dislike of the voice actor is a problem you can give reasonable criticism of, but feel free.

Deadpool was voiced by North in the Wolverine Vs Hulk movie, thats more then likely why he got the part, he fits. Plus, you went into that much of a talk about it over a one sentence post? Someone seems really upset.

Holy freaking God man. You didn't need to type out a damn novel to get your point across. I get it, you disagree with me.

No rustling of jimmies was intended, but I get what you were saying. To backtrack a little bit, perhaps this would be a better voice for Deadpool more to your liking?

Not gonna lie, this looks terrible, even by the standards of most superhero games I've played.
