Ugh, this one pisses me off because I JUST bought it. I thought it was too old to see another sale, so I spent double on it.

Audiosurf is $5 right now. It's a very unique game that allows you to play your music as a puzzle game. There is tons of videos on Youtube if you want to know more, and I highly recommend this one.

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus and Oddysee are a little under $6 as a compilation pack. I've not played them, but I've heard constant good reviews on them.

Just saw that, and snapped it up as fast as I could. Thank god Steam saves my debit card details. :)

I like this idea, and it's good. Even though I have steam and am always looking around, I sometimes miss the sales.

I got Audiosurf for $2.50 a good long while ago, and I got at least $5 worth of use out of it within the first week. Looks like they just updated it; haven't checked it out yet but it sounds like some good little improvements.

Aw, lucky! :)

Also, I heard that a long while ago, they had Left 4 Dead seriously cheap as well.

Looks like Braid is going for $5 this weekend. If you don't know about Braid, then you aren't a Yahtzee fan.
Or you've been living under a rock for the past few years.
Or both.

And yeah, I love Steam. I got L4D for only $25 back when it was still at release price during one weekend deal.

I'm just sad that I missed the weekend deal for Fallout 3. Knowing that it was 25 dollars at some point means that I can't get myself to plop down 50 for it elsewhere.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Not the most intensive stealth game in the world, but I liked it. Plus it's only like $5~10 off the top of my head.

Oh and any game that's good really because in Steam, compared to getting games in real life, you don't have to put up with driving and talking to people to get what you want. Plus you can't lose it, destroy it, etc.

Right this moment it's 50% off ($15 for one copy, $45 for the 4-pack), which is the cheapest I've ever seen it. I don't know how many more hours that's supposed to last, so if you want it, get to it!

I'm not buying Left 4 Dead, however. I mean, it's a great game, but my friends don't play it and TF2 still satisfies my occasional need for multiplayer mayhem. I've already got too many other great games I don't have time to play :( (thanks in no small part to previous Steam sales!) :)

Thanks. I was just about to post it. It's not a game for me, but at $25, it's a steal for some one who has been waiting for the right price. I see that it has a metascore of 90/100.

Company of Heroes is $5 on Direct2Drive [http://www.direct2drive.com/4/7860/product/Buy-Company-of-Heroes-Gold-Download]. Yeah, their download system sucks compared to Steam, but it's a great price for a great game.

If Something Awful can have a hot deals forum, why can't we have a Gaming Discussion thread about it? If someone knows where I can get a great game for cheap that I don't already own, that's something I want to know!

(and yes, you can get Empire half-off, part of their launch promotion for the new Warpath Campaign DLC, which looks to my eyes like an 18th-century version of Medieval 2's Americas Campaign in Kingdoms. Empire's still the clubhouse leader for my '09 Game of the Year in what's proving to be a bit of a weak class.)

It's THQ week on Steam. It's 50% off of THQ games, but only one game per day. Titan's Quest was 50% off yesterday, and I'm ashamed I only found out 40 minutes before the sale was over. Today is Company of Heroes. I don't know what is going to be tomarrow, but the THQ game list on steam is as follows:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, Full Spectrum Warrior, Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers, Titan Quest, Titan Quest - Immortal Throne, Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Gold Edition, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights, Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War - Soulstorm, Frontlines?: Fuel of War?, Warhammer® 40,000?: Dawn of War® II

I don't know which ones are going to be on sale, but it probably will be any one of these each day.

I was going to buy this at the weekend, and then missed a deal on D2D, and now it's on Steam. Had to get it.

9GB download...

It's a really good RTS. I own 2 of the three parts, and I plan on getting Tales of Valor later. It's funny, because I actually hate playing the game. Every time I try to play it, some gameplay aspect doesn't mesh with me, and I spend more time fighting the game and not the other players. Even so, I know a good game when I see one, and this is a great game. I still recommend the game to everyone, even though playing it is like pulling teeth for me.

I suppose with all these concerns with tpb and whatnot that these attractively awesome deals will have to do in terms of how I get my whats-its.

Saint's Row 2 is going for $7.50 right now. The PC version is a little buggy, but it's totally worth dealing with those headaches for the rest of the game.

Yeah, TPB is a great way to make sure that the games you are buying are worth your money, but most of the deals I'm posting here are going for throwaway money, and therefore are pretty much not worth dealing with torrents, viruses, installation and patching issues... etc, etc. You also get to take the moral highroad and actually own the game.
