So... he was Dragon Age's version of Carth? I think Mass Effect II might be the only game where I liked all the party members on at least some level. Every other game they do has at least one douchebag that I hate with a damn passion. Have yet to play DAO but I do not think I am looking forward to him if your little letter is accurate.

Yeah, he's pretty much Carth, but he's missing that... edge that made you want to like him, but you just can't cuz he won't stop whining. I think it has something to do with the voice acting... Rafael Sbarge is a good actor, but guy who does Alistair has this weird lisp going on...

OT: I actually liked Alistair, leave it to the good folks at Bioware to craft yet another lovable bunch of misfits for their cast. I don't think I've played a single Bioware game yet, where I didn't at least like all of the party members.

No way! I love him! Was easy to do his romance thing cause I honestly just, sheesh, Ive never giggled so girlishly than when he makes his jokes, especcially when he is flirting with me, like the rose as weapon one and pole licking.

My only problem with him though...his hair.

I never wanted to like Carth. He was a whiny ***** the whole time and as soon as I had two other party options I never let him leave the ship again. he wasn't even telling jokes he was just a little... douche... though thats probably just my personal opinion.

Actuall i like Alistair too, i wont take him with my party in my second playthrough though, but thats just because i wanna be a lil les "good" and see what the others are like.

I thought Alistair was a pretty cool guy. He was a bit whiny but I think he made up for it by being a pretty good tank. And he had the same ideas of right and wrong as I do.

I liked Alister. His jokes aren't horrible, and he's a good tank to have late game. Besides you don't need him if you don't want him. Just do something that will force him to leave the party, or choose all the negative conversation options.

Carth is like a sad puppy. Emotional, yet tries to be manly. That's what I liked about him.

Back to the topic:
Alistair is pretty much my favourite character(after Ohgren of course)who pretty much it with me on most of the moral choices. His only problem is being too good/too templary on certain occasions and at least he's better than Ms I hate everything you do that helps people.

I haven't played the game too far in, but I like Alistair so far. We even had a back-and forth sarcastic exchange, fun stuff.

I liked Allistair.. But once I decided to save the kid with Blood Magic, OH NOES! Here comes the legendary Templar Period.

To be honest, I hated all the characters in the game, because no matter what I did, EVERYONE bitched.

He especially loved it when i threatened the mother for not giving me the key to sten's cell. I tried the nice way first, cause even in games i try not to do such things, but i didn't use the right words, so worse came to worse.

I'm not sure what it was about her. I just REALLY didn't like her. And, for obvious reasons, I ended up liking Sephiroth as the game went on.
