I don't get this X vs. Superman scenarios. The only thing that stops the guy is Kryptonite. Supposing there's no K around then my vote goes for the Man of Steel. I mean...

I think the more intriguing question everyone has on their mind is who would win in a fight...

I enjoyed this just for It'sJustSomeRandomGuy's voice acting. An enjoyable match-up, I'm indifferent really as to who won.

Excellent episode! It had extremely high production values with no bias from the creators who had an obvious love for both characters.

As for the battle itself, Goku would win. I think something that was a hindrance to Goku for this episode is that his power isn't as clearly defined, so it's difficult to put him against someone who's powers are defined. My only real criticism is that they didn't take into account that Goku's power isn't static, but increases over the course of the series. For example, they used a bit from Snake Way to calculate his max speed, which was awesome, but the problem is that that would end up being his max speed at that point in the series. He'd be moving quite a bit faster later on.

I had actually underestimated Superman coming into this fight. I had always assumed Goku would wipe the floor with him easily. After learning more about his power, I can see that this would be a much closer fight, but I'm still comfortable in saying Goku would win. I think that he was at a disadvantage in this fight because the creators had to give specifics on what his limits were, so they erred on the side of caution. It made for an excellent episode, absolutely, but at the same time a real debate of a battle between these two isn't nearly so cut-and-dry.

So, yeah. Even if I disagree with the outcome, great episode!

Honestly, I'm sick of the entire fan discussion. I couldn't click that link even if I wanted to, I wouldn't find it funny. This has just been done too much for me to laugh at anymore. Well for right now anyway. Maybe it will come full circle and be funny again next year. Who knows.

There are way too many variables between both Goku and Superman to actually faithfully decide on a winner. There are too many abilities that Goku learns, too many power levels attained, too many versions of Superman with different powers. In the end, you're basically pitting two ultimate beings against one other in a never ending deadlock of universe destroying combat.

That being said:

Suck it Superman!

I did like the final verdict. "Goku is defined by his need to be the best, always pushing himself to defeat ever stronger warriors." "Superman has no limits, so instead he must contend with restraining his power to prevent innocents from becoming collateral."

Goku has instant transmission, so he could just teleport to a piece of kryptonite. I didn't see Krillin Dying before the fight how did this fight start?

Two things wrong with that idea. 1) Thats not how Instant Transmission works, so he couldn't do that if he tried. And 2) Goku would never use Kryptonite. He doesnt care for unfair advantages.

For number one he could ask King Kai to locate it for him but yeah would be a pain to find.
The second part you are right he wouldn't use it.

However the fight would last until one gave up because superman would not be able to destroy Goku without destroying the Earth and the same applies for Goku unless he managed to grab Superman and teleport them both to some empty planet then it would probably be an insane fight I'm very familiar with Goku's powers but when it comes to superman haven't a clue never liked the Superman franchise so I wouldn't know all his powers.

But here is an Insteresting scenario what if Superman had to fight Buu on Earth I think that would be a whole different story altogether.

Guys, Superman is invulnerable, and Goku has died....how many times?
Goku's only died twice. A better question would be: How many others in the series has died twice?

Goku
Yamcha (I think)
Vegeta
The entire population of earth.

OT: Good video. I don't think the fight was 100% accurate, but that's mostly because I don't think they could have made it 100% accurate. The powers in dragonball have such a weird scale, I don't even know where to begin.

Like in DBZ when he fights vegeta the first time, Vegetas power makes the planet shake. This was in like volume 18 out of 42. The entire planet should be destroyed just by their presence at the Cell tournament.

Goku would survive being thrown into the Sun, while Superman wouldn't. If Goku made the Sun go supernova he would win. Even if Superman could outrun the speed of light (which I think he can't), he would probably sacrifice himself to save Earth. Meanwhile, Goku only has to use the Dragon Balls to revive everyone.
