Electric chair.

I want people to SMELL me.

Well, I'm not going to get into anything but I think it's interesting. Hell, if he requested it, anyway, why not?

Wait, scratch that.

I'd like to be fired into the sun. Although, I would probably die of starvation or thirst long before I get there, it would still be awesome.

To think a 'modern state' still uses any form of execution... *tsktsk*
Better than a murderer living life on our dime in a already crowded/bloated legal system.
You're right, let's just kill them, that'll teach them a lesson they won't soon forget. Less trouble for us too.
yeah, the problem with the death penalty is that it's irreversible. you don't
want to find out years later you executed an innocent.
Even though I'm for it (and that firing squads are good) you do have a point. It's like that one Batman short where he died because he was captured by a guy that he had put in jail for like 5 years when he didn't do anything wrong. The guy got Batman addicted to some drug and Batman ended up killing himself out of guilt for ruining this guy's life.

I would like to be executed the easy way. right after conviction get an hour with family then go out in the alley and get a bullet in the back of the head. cheap and easy. america should adopt this method. It would lower jail costs exponentially.
Ever thought about appeals?
Appeals waste time and money.
And what if the person has been wrongfully convicted. There won't ever be a perfect legal system.

Yea, I saw that too. That's crazy, I didn't even think we used firing squards anymore. Fair enough though, if that's what he choses.

Whenever I think about this sort of thing, I just get stuck on how horrific it would be to get executed.

DEATH......BY....SNOO SNOO.
Keep in mind you're in an all male prison filled with violent offenders.
Like this guy:

Now, now. Do you know for a fact he is a criminal? Did it say on the site from which you got the picture that he is a criminal? If so, disregard this statement. If not, you're judging a book by it's cover. For all you know he could be the nicest, gentlest fucker out there. Just a bit eccentric perhaps.
And with an apparent disregard for sun cream.

Ah. The death penalty. My favorite, and most encouraged punishment for crime. I support it, even in some non-murder cases. Like repeat offenders of certain crimes.

I'd like death by snu snu!

That wouldn't be much of a punishment would it then?

What's so immoral about firing squad? It's an instant death with pretty much zero pain. I'd rather take that than lethal injection honestly.
Not if the one guy with an actual live round missed the heart or head.
I'm almost 100% certain that all firing squad members are trained marksmen. And I'm also sure that if you are even eligible to be in a firing squad, you've known how to handle a gun for longer than a day, and could easily hit the guy in the head.

Except that they aren't supposed to aim for the head, the face is supposed to be left undamaged for the family. Now hit that heart, good luck.

'For courtesy's sake, choose. Firing squad of your own men or summary execution.'-Ibram Guant (Necropolis by Dan Abbnett).
But seriously, as long as he's happy with his death I couldn't care less, and given the options, I agree with him.

And yet you disregard the human life of the murderer simply because you don't want "financial burden". It seems to be a fairly obvious double standard.

cuddly_tomato said:
Not morally righteousness, but simple common sense. If one is against murder, then they shouldn't really be sanctioning state sponsored murder of this kind for reasons of financial gain. If you are hateful and angry I can understand that. If you want people who have committed terrible crimes to go in the ground alive or be fed to sharks or something because you don't think they deserve to live - fair enough.

To attach money to this is pretty appauling.
So, wait, let me understand this. You are not arguing against the death penalty or retributive killing in general, but only against a specific motivation? You say I have the double standard? Nice.

I disregard the life of the murderer because they a murderer, thus I don't give a shit about them and don't think I should have to pay for someone I don't give a shit about. I'll do my part help pay for the poor and underprivileged, but don't expect me to feed, clothe and house cold blooded malicious killers. Not too hard to understand, is it?

I'm not sure any methods of execution are humane, but I would argue that some methods are better than others. If you would be okay with me if I were advocating removing fingers before drowning them in burning oil, perhaps you need to rethink what you consider appalling, no?

Eh to be honest I think its a more effecient way than the electric chair (i mean have you seen the electiricty bills lately) or lethal injection (because lets face, everybody hates needles)

Bad jokes aside its cheap, its scary, and how many of you would honestly think about commiting a crime if you thought you were gonna be stood up against a wall and shot several times.

Ok, Ive got one for you:

<spoiler=Brilliant joke> Englishman, Scottishman & Irishman are sentanced to death by firing squad.

Englisman is put against the post, and just as they're about to shoot he shouts "HURRICANE!" - The guard scatters & he runs to freedom.

The Scotsman is put up against the post, and as they're about to shoot he shouts "TORNADO!" - The guard scatter again, and the scotsman runs to freedom.

The Irishman takes to the post, And just as they're about to shoot he shouts:
<spoiler=Punchline>"FIRE!"

Ok, Im using the standard stereotypes, Every country has different ones to that.

---

In all fairness, At least its quick...

I would take a firing squad anyday and my last words would be something like "I heard you guys are terrible shots do yourselves a favour and take a couple steps forward"
