It?s funny, how the littlest action can change the course of history, even stranger when that turn of history affects yourself. One such thing was the leadership row of the USSR in 1923, Vladimir Lenin was crippled by his third stroke, unable to move, or speak; his last document was a will, which contained a very specific request, Josef Stalin must be removed from his Secretary-General position in the communist party due to the huge volumes of power in his hands, he posed a huge risk to the newly established system.
But the will was intercepted by Stalin before it could be seen by any other party members, but what if someone else had seen the letter first? What if another prominent soviet politician saw the will before anyone else? Leon Trotsky saw it, and Stalin was instantaneously ejected from the world of politics. Without this man to become a dictator, and dramatically mutate the system the USSR did not have any economic or political sanctions imposed upon it, during, and after, World War Two.
Due to its brilliant worldwide reputation, the USSR became close allies with many nations to the point of integrating many of them, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, India, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway and China were just some nations that merged into this superpower, the military might of this alliance managed to crush, and annex, the UK and Ireland, Australia, nearly all of the middle east, even Alaska and half of Canada! With no allies, no way to import resources, and a crippled economy, the United States of America collapsed upon itself on December 29th 1989.
Fast-Forward 20 years and the USSR owns around 75% of the all land on earth, with most other nations being Communist allies, or simply anarchies. The USSR is in a large-scale war with many Neo-Fascist, Neo-Nazi-ist, and Islamic extremist factions, which are all vying for toppling of the state, and establishing a new state to suit their own desires. Our main characters are caught up in this, during a civilian displacement transport train (it was also carrying prisoners) from Leningrad (St. Petersburg) to Svobodny, Amur Oblast; a region in Southern Siberia.
Your train is intercepted and boarded by members of the ICA (Individualistic Capitalist Alliance), an organization headed by the mysterious man, known only as Fat Dog, and you are caught up whether your character wishes to or not, work for this organization, in destabilizing the Soviet Union. The RP will revolve around the player's faithfulness, or unfaithfulness to the USSR, and send the characters on an investigation into the makings, ideals, and foundations of Communism; I hope to make the plot compelling, intriguing, and as dynamic as possible, while making the game fun to play, but serious in message! Please, comment your thoughts on what you think of this RP, and any changes I could make!
Without any more fuss, here are the Characters!!

Without any more fuss, here are the Characters!!
Name: Thomas O'Beckett
Gender: Male
Date Of Birth: 17th June 1987
Appearance: A tall man, standing at 6'3" in height with dark brown hair and blue/grey eyes. He is clean shaven but with a minor indication of stubble. He isn't overly muscular but he is quite athletic and agile.
Personality: 'Sunny disposition' is probably what could best surmise his personality, though there have been several occasions when even his outlook on life and the world had changed, resulting in a more cynical Thomas.
He is for the most part calm and level headed and has tremendous empathy towards those those in plight. He is not fond of violence and as a man of medicine he always strives to find a peaceful way out of a situation. That said though, the current plight of his countrymen and the oppressive regime of the USSR is straining his patience with regards to the worsening conditions worldwide. He himself has noted that one day he might just snap because of the strain of his job and the emotions that he experiences on a day to day basis.
He has a fondness towards rock climbing and triathlons.
Home Town/Nation: Dublin, People's Republic of Ireland
Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: On the surface he is indifferent to Communism or at least content in knowing that it has worked thus far in preventing further global chaos. Deep down though he knows not to be stupid enough to voice his discontent publicly. He does not trust the system in the long run or hold it in a high regard to be considered a permanent form of government. He has witnessed firsthand the brutality and senseless violence in which the system relies on in order to operate efficiently. The cost of human lives has been staggering throughout the war and while he would love nothing more than to see the collapse of the USSR, he worries about the human toll that would further result from such a revolution.
Reason(s) for being displaced: Thomas had worked for several years as a medical officer and surgeon in various Irish counties before settling in Dublin to establish his own private practice. The war however and Ireland's eventual absorption to the USSR meant that 'the authorities' quickly saw a befitting position for Thomas in Leningrad as a doctor and surgeon to treat the wounded that came in with the expansion of the empire.
Notable Abilities: Thomas is exceptionally gifted with an extensive knowledge regarding various aspects of medicine and surgery making him a remarkable physician. He is also quite athletic due to the training he put himself though during the days in which he ran triathlons.
Short Biography:Thomas was born in County Dublin as an only child where he spent much of his youth indulging in the usual mischief that every other kid his age got to enjoy; freedom, the open air, playgrounds and free will, all of which ran unhindered along the streets in abundance in an age before the USSR spread it's influence. A distant memory of peaceful times and a past long forgotten.
When the war broke out in the east, Ireland was plunged into chaos along with the rest of Europe. His father, a member of the Irish Guard, was sent to the United Kingdom along with other members of his division to slow down the advancing Red army. A futile attempt as it turned out when both the UK and Ireland were eventually overwhelmed and absorbed into the oppressors. When the smoke cleared, only the scorched remains of a battlefield was left to remember the dead, a stark reminder to everyone of the USSR's eternal presence and unyielding might.
As the years passed, Thomas took to the field of medicine not only because it excluded him from the mandatory military service imposed in Ireland but because he felt that through healing he could mend the wounds of not only his patients but himself as well. The years leading up to the war and the short years of resistance itself had scarred his mind about warfare and communism, but despite what he had witnessed, he suppressed his true feelings behind a cheery smile in an attempt to live a new life in a new world order.

Name: Jack Philby
Gender: Male
Date Of Birth: 4th May 1983
Appearance: Standing at around 6ft with dark blonde hair and green eyes, Jack is broad shouldered with well-developed muscles and a friendly grin.
Personality: Jack is usually courteous and polite to everyday people and is kind to his friends, although whenever he hears praise of the Union or the Party, a dark look momentarily flashes across his face
Home Town/Nation: London, People's Republic of England
Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: When he was young, all Jack remembered of the time before Communism was rationing, disease and vicious street fights between the various militias vying for control of the country. Since the day Soviet paratroopers summarily executed his father 'for the greater good of the revolution', Jack has hated the system and the cold, petty apparatchiks who administrate it.
Reason(s) for being displaced: Jack is a trained and highly skilled mechanic - it was decided that his skills would be better spent being utilised in the Leningrad industrial districts both servicing vehicles and training new workers. Also, the KGB suspected him of collaborating with underground ICA members in London - his skills saved him from 'disappearing' and his new position means easy monitoring for the authorities.
Notable Abilities: Very skilled mechanic and has some skill with computers and maintaing robotics (namely industrial robots). Is very physically strong as a by-product of a life spent working with heavy machinery.
Short Biography: Jack was just six when Communist militias began their campaign in urban Britain: a wave of violence swept the country as the bulk of Britain's armed forces were combating the Soviet military. Soon the Brtiish forces were overcome and Soviet troops began the occupation of London - Jack's father took offence when the new authorities demanded to enter the family home and strip it of items deemed 'bourgiousie' in an effort to establish 'equality' and was shot in the street by a Soviet Commissar in front of his son and wife. Since that day Jack hated the USSR and all it stood for.
After his mother fuelled his anger at the regime and taught him about alternative systems (conveniently left out of the state-approved curriculum), Jack began to make attempts to contact the ICA. Aged 17 and beginning his training as a mechanic, he was successful and began to work as an informer, giving identities of 'People's Constable's' to his new comrades, leading to many bloody reprisals on Soviet collaborators.
Jack had hoped to join the ICA as a full-fledged member, but the cell he was aiding had only limited resources. Thus he remained in society, being assigned to a tractor factory upon completing his training aged 20. His skill at mechanics and brown-nosing the local administrators allowed his promotion to the position of foreman, giving him considerable authority in his workplace, as well as access to factory plans across the industrial district. A wave of ICA bombings unknowingly brought Jack under the scrutiny of the KGB. Chance, and Jack's skills at mechanics and motivating his workers, led to him being sent on the long journey to the Soviet settlement of Svobodny instead of being tortured and executed.

Name: Richau Mistov
Gender: Male
Date Of Birth: 12th of September, 1975
Appearance: A businessman, dressed in a suit and such. Short, brown hair and a layer of stubble.
Personality: Richau is often megalomaniacal, vindictive and controlling. He is also, however, brave, principled (mostly), and thinks nothing of enormous risks. Struggling his way to the top of the pile has taught him that much.
Home Town/Nation: Prague, Czechoslovakia.
Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: A general distrust, mainly because he's unable to seize the power and wealth he ultimately desires. As long as the political system he lives under makes him money, he doesn't mind.
Reason(s) for being displaced: Richau began subtly incorporating anti-Communist activities into his life, and writing intense anti-USSR writings in his personal dairy. He was informed upon, and duly arrested.
Notable Abilities: Knows little fear, a decisive decision-maker, able to manipulate and
intimidate.
Short Biography: Richau was born into a extremely poor Czech family. Often left to fend for himself, he became intensely aware of human nature, and how it worked. Seizing on this, he clawed his way to the top of the business food chain. He eventually moved to Leningrad in search of more profit, but only found the stench of Communism.

Name: Gediminas Naujokaitis
Gender: Male
Date Of Birth: September 13th, 1967.
Appearance: 192 centimetres tall, very thin man with a scruffy beard that barely makes him look just a bit respectable. Short brown hair and blue eyes. He often dresses in an old, patched coat made out of very poor fabric that now has been bitten and dissolved in places so many times by various insects that it's just not worth fixing it to keep it clean and well-maintained. He normally has thin, summer pants held together with a cardboard belt he made himself. His boots could do with a bit of shine, but besides that they are perfectly good leather boots, useful for striding around mud, muck and any other terrain. Usually he wears thick glasses that were glued together with tape. Of note is a scar around his neck and above his right eyebrow.
Personality: A quiet and reserved person, he prefers to stay as far away from public events as possible. He doesn't have particularly strong faithfulness or loyalty and just wishes to own a small farm where he could live out his life in solitude. For a farmer, he is very studious and during his brief visits to cities, you can normally find him in a library, reading classic, party-approved literature or at a cafe, reading the latest news. Avoids talks about his homeland. Has a very strong dislike for Poles and Russians.
Home Town/Nation: Daugailiai, Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic.
Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: Deeply despises Communism, as in the winter of 1989 his wife and children were killed in a militia attack on their village while he was on his way to his brother to purchase a cow. After finding about his brother being shot dead a week ago for being a fascist, he left for home the same night, only to find his village in flames, the animals and most of the inhabitants slaughtered and his wife and children hanging on a tree branch, frozen ropes digging into the cold flesh of their necks. Also despises the USSR, because he was raised as a patriot and heard of all the great deeds Lithuanians have performed, especially noting the Battle of Grunwald, which is one of his favourite historical events. Does not have a strong political affiliation and just wishes to live in peace. Strong possibility of real damage to young members of the Proletariat.
Reasons for being displaced: Perceived as a general threat to the pro-communist beliefs of others. Noted for being involved in minor protests and teaching anti-soviet knowledge to his students. Pending order of Execution, may be issued within 2 weeks of arrest.
Notable Abilities: Unusually perceptive, rather intelligent. Exceptional knowledge in herbs and farming, as well as encyclopaedic knowledge of Lithuania's history. Can make many useful things out of simple materials and has a very basic knowledge of chemistry. Knows how to handle most farming equipment and tractors. Speaks fluent Lithuanian and Russian. Minor medical abilities.
Short Biography: Born in 1967, Gediminas lived a hard life. His father and mother carefully raised him as a staunch patriot and anti-communist, until they were hanged for partisan activity in 1975 and then dragged through the streets of his home town. He left it the following year and wandered until a family took him in as their own in a tiny village that's even not mentioned in a map. He was educated as a farmer and was further educated by a retired tutor. He lived there until the incident of 1989, outlined above. Soon after he began wandering as a tramp, until finally he found employment at a Soviet Agriculture centre and was soon sent to his teaching position in Leningrad.
During his stay there, he has been involved in anti-Russian, anti-Polish, anti-Communist activities and the authorities have recognised him as a person who needs to be eliminated. Under veil of darkness, several militia men raided his home and dragged him away. Further activity will be monitored.

Name: Carmine Cannizzaro
Gender: Male
Date Of Birth: 12th of November 1975
Appearance: Carmine is of average height and has tanned skin due to his southern ancestry. He has green eyes. His hair is dark and curly, He keeps it at a short lenght and combed back. He is usually clean shaven.
He is usually very formal in his wear and is rarely not seen wearing his black suit and white shirt.
Personality: He is very cold-blooded and cool. He has taught himself to stay strong in the face of adversity and to keep his emotions to himself, thanks to the fact that he had to grow up in a place where dissagreeing with the party would mean being sent off to the labour camps.
He doesn't trust easily, and might seem somewhat cold and unfriendly at the beginning, but those that know him well know that he can be very friendly and caring when he wants to.
Home Town/Nation: Agrigento, Italy.
Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: Carmine is fiercely nationalistic and patriotic, he therefore despises the USSR and it's imperialistic way, noticing the hypocrisy of it's ways. He is hell-bent on bringing the USSR to it's end.
He is also fiercely anti-Communist, noting that such a type of government is foolish and unapplicable to the real world, believing it just a way for the power-hungry elite to disguise it's disgusting motives while pretending to be a friend of the people.
Reason(s) for being displaced: For a very long time Carmine was suspected of anti-Communist activities by the local police, but thanks to his father's high rank and standing in the local party chapter, he had been relatively safe from from the threat of interrogation or even deportation. However, after not so long, a local newspaper managed to uncover and make public a couple of essays and poems that Cannizzato had wrote in his youth, all of them being distinctly critical of the party, it's ideology, and it's elite. He was arrested, and sent to a labour camp in the Alps, in which he spent three years of his life. He was then assigned to be moved to Svobodny.
Notable Abilities: He is multi-lingual, having learnt Russian and French at a young age, in addition to his native Italian. He is also a writer and a poet, and is somewhat familiar with explosives thanks to his tenure in the MAS.
Short Biography: Carmine was born in Agrigento, in Sicily, to a middle-class family. His father, a fervent communist and one of the local party elite, tried to indoctrinate Carmine at a young age, by forcing him to read Marx's Mnifesto and teaching him Russian. Even as a child though, Carmine was always a thinking and very intellectual boy, immediately noting the fallacies and corruption in the ideology and it's followers.
At the age of 17 he joined the MAS (Movimento per l' Autonomia Siciliano, Movement for Sicilian Indipendence) a nationalist and anti-communist guerilla and terrorist group active in Sicily, even taking part in the planning for the infamous Palermo Town Hall bombing of '97, after which most of the group was arrested and sentenced to death, causing the MAS to disband. Carmine, however, somehow managed to save himself, not being caught by the secret police. He decided to lay low for a while, and concentrate more on his writing and poetry, after realizing the horrors and atrocities he had committed.
After about three years though, a local communist newspaper made public a bunch of poems, letters and articles (all distinctly anti-communsit and critical of the regime) that Cannizzato had written for the anti-communist underground newspaper Libert༯em> in his youth while serving the MAS. He was arrested, and sent to a prison in the Alps, where he spent a couple of years awaiting his final sentence. Finally, in 2009, it was established that he would be sent to Svobodny, in a forced labour camp, to serve his lifetime sentence for anti-communist activities

Name: Wilhelm Farskov
Gender: Male
Date Of Birth: August 31, 1967
Appearance: Wilhelm does not have any outstanding features. He stands at an imposing 6'5 and has a tendency to tower over people. He weighs in at over 200 pounds, but is built of much more muscle than fat. Rather than pale skin, like you would you would expect of a man with Nordic origins, he has a farmer's tan. His hair used to be blond, but it is sprinkled with gray now, and is hidden by a crew cut. His eyes are stark blue, and a persistent five-o-clock shadow adorns his face. He is wearing an orange tee shirt and boot-cut jeans. His feet are covered by a pair of tan leather boots, and he wears square-framed glasses.
Personality: Wilhelm has an above average I.Q. and as a result often finds himself looking down upon other people that have not been considered for the Nobel Prize. He tries to keep up the persona of a strong, stoic man on the outside, but on the inside he prefers to rally behind others and give them the support they need to be successful. He is in no way the kind of person that would rise up and be a leader. He would rather be by himself and given some time to brood. Even farther down within the confines of his mind is an extreme fear of the ICA. When he sees one of them, his first thought is either kill or flee.
Home Town/Nation: Romo, Danish S.S.R.
Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: Wilhelm generally respects the communist establishment for being able to (for the most part) successfully govern almost an entire planet. After years of living under their oppressive regime, he began to get disillusioned, but he has suddenly gone back to happily living in their domain after the ICA attempts on his life.
Reason(s) for being displaced: Earlier this year, the ICA, wanting to deprive the USSR of a respected horticulturalist, set out on a mission to assassinate Wilhelm. The new agricultural technology he was developing would allow for massive population growth in Russia, and the rebels knew that killing him would be striking a blow to the USSR. Government officials caught wind of this and immediately relocated him to Svobodny, a small Siberian town with a forced labor camp right next door.
Notable Abilities: Wilhelm is exceptionally smart, but his specialty is horticulture, specifically agricultural technology. This is not a very useful skill for combat. He has powerful muscles in his arms, but he has almost no fighting skills, relying on brute strength when forced to fight. All other physical abilities (running, swimming, etc.) he has are on par with the average fit adult that is his age. He can easily speak Danish and quite a bit of English, but was only given a week to learn Russian, leaving him with only the ability to understand basic commands.
Short Biography: Wilhelm was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to loving parents. For reasons still unknown to him, the family abruptly packed their bags and left for Romo, a small island in the Baltic Sea. There, it was discovered that Wilhelm has a moderately high I.Q. of 140. The Farskov family then eked out a living on the island by staying on their own farm and coexisting with the other residents. At some point during this time of subsistence, Wilhelm began to spend his time working on agricultural technology, spending more and more time in the fields experimenting with small amounts of wheat taken from the harvest.
In 1985, he departed the island for the capital to study agriculture at the University of Copenhagen. At some time in the early 1990s, he triumphantly returned to Romo and took care of his parents. By this point, he had gotten married. He then devoted his life to agricultural science. Because he lived on an island in the Baltic Sea, his life was barely affected by the integration of Denmark into the USSR. In 2001, both of Wilhelm's parents passed away. Undeterred, he continued his work.
Finally, in 2009, all of his work payed off. He has come up with a new strain of wheat that could possibly allow it to grow and survive in icy conditions, and even on top of a layer of permafrost. Seeing the importance of such a discovery, the Soviet Union began to send him quite a bit of funding. At this point, the ICA took notice. They took it upon themselves to assassinate Wilhelm. They knew that killing him would definitely set back Russian research and, if the strain worked, slow down population growth. A message concerning this was intercepted by a Soviet constable, and it was immediately decided that Wilhelm would be relocated to some nameless town in Siberia for his own safety. He was given just a week's notice. He did not protest. Instead, he purchased a how-to book on Russian language and studied it for as long as possible. Unfortunately, you can't learn a language in a week. He was left only able to understand basic commands in Russian.
At the end of the week, Wilhelm said goodbye to his wife and children and a driver took him to an airport on the mainland, where he boarded a plane and flew on a rather long trip to Leningrad/St. Petersburg. Just when he thought his trip was over, he was hustled from the terminal to a station where he was quickly deposited aboard a train with no explanation as to where he was going whatsoever.

Short Biography: Born to a Russian military officer, and a young farmwoman, Lukas Daryvich grew up a lonely child, when he was three years old, his father went to fight the war in Alaska, he was killed in Action on the 21st of August 1984. He blamed the state for his father's death, and from then on, he was always critical of the Soviet Union. As time passed, his dis-trust for the state grew into an entire political, ethical, and philosophical qualm with the very theory with Communism. When he was 15, the state attempted to conscript him into the military, he refused, and ran away and spent the next few months wandering the Russian tundra, until he reached the city of Perm.
He spent 4 years working, and living in Perm, and falling in with the ICA. To the point he ran away from Perm, and set up his own cell, where, for a few years, he and his small squad stole supplies and weapons from local army reserves and shipments. He finally moved up a league, when he and three men were assigned to steal some important documents from the Smolny Institute, Leningrad's Communist party HQ, unfortunately, he was caught, interrogated. All he said at the hands of his captors was "I work for a Fat Dog". He was then hauled on to the train to be sent to Svobodny.
