Patapon. You do not need any other game for the remainder of your life.
Hahahaha, this is so true :)
Don't forget Locoroco lol. I don't have either games but playing the demo alone will leave addicted to it like a crack addict.

I've had fun with Wipeout Pure since Launch (and it will be cheap) and the developers have supported a ton of free DLC. Wipeout Pulse and Ace Combat X are also very high on my list

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow was extremely fun. N+ was a cool minigame thing. You also can't go wrong with Iron Man.

I'd definitely reccomend FFT: War of the Lions, especially if you didn't play it on the original PS. Its definitely worth it.

If you're into the tactics style games, the Warhammer 40k squad command isn't bad.

The real question is, what kind of games to you like or looking to play? You put a few down but really we're just all shooting from the hip.

Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2, its a whole new way to enjoy the Metal Gear series. Most people don't like the Acid series but if your looking for something new you should definitely get into them since they are pretty good, I have finished both at least three times, I travel a lot.

I just got "Brave Story: New Traveler". I'm enjoying it so far.
I also have Patapon, wonderful game, and I ordered Monster Hunter due to the advice on this thread.

Ill look into my collection... I might recommend Castlevanie: dracula X chronicles, but it was a twist in it. The original game is crap imo, but you can find a secret powerup in level 3 that allows you to play Castlevania: Symphony of the night, wich is the best Castlevania ever and totally makes the game worth getting.

Id also recommend monster hunter but unlike some PSP games, its one youll want to invest time in. Expect to be fighting some dragon for at least 30 minutes before the bugger is dead, but the sense of achievement will be all the greater. Youll either love it or hate it thanks to its murderous difficulty slope.

I truly adored Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, if you're interested in a tactical RPG, definitely try it.

I also heard good things about Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, but since Belgian gamingstore owners have never heard of it I haven't tried it myself. It's a tactical RPG as well.
I've got custom firmware. Disgaea is awesome, and a lot smoother compared to FFT's sluggish flow. Been trying to find it in Belgian outlets as well, no go. I don't think it's ever been released in Belgium at all, actually.

But right, here's the list of recommended games, by me (excluding the ones OP has named) :3

Disgaea Afternoon of Darkness
Silent Hill Origins
Patapon 1/2 :if you already have the first, don't bother getting the second. If you've never played either, get the sequel
Loco Roco 1/2
Dissidia: Final Fantasy: you'll have to wait a few more months, but I've tried the Jap version and I'll definitely buy it in the store when it's out here
Rock Band Unplugged :not out yet, but come on... Rez/Frequency with modern rock music AND DLC? Sign me up!
Dj Max Portable: Beatmania, but in the palm of your hand
Guilty Gear X2 #Reload or Accent Core: Best fighting game series ever imo. I prefer #Reload, AC is a bit too fast for my tastes (and my main is Chipp Zanuff, the fastest char...)
Gitaroo Man Lives!: really fun rhythm game, it's just that there's only 8 or 9 songs in total... Parappa the Rapper has even less I think
BEATS: Has similar gameplay to Gitaroo Man, BUT you use your own music (you just put some mp3's on your memstick, and there you go, levels for you to play
GTA Liberty City Stories: once you get used to the controls, it's quite fun. I won't recommend Vice City, however... it just didn't have the right 'feel' to it (that, and a really annoying starting area which is a PAIN to navigate through)
Me & My Katamari: Katamari, but handheld. Controls are decent, though most diss it. It's still the same good ol' fun though.

Yes God of War.
Jewel Summoner is great but short

1. Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
2. Burnout Legends unless that's the Burnout you have.
3. Wipeout Pure/Pulse (I prefer Pure for some reason).
4. You might like MGS:pO though I didn't. Didn't like the controls.
5. Install CFW and emulate :). I wouldn't like my PSP half as much if it didn't have this feature.
6. Locoroco 1 & 2. Probably the most fun I've had with any game... ever!
7. Patapon 1 & 2 though they require grinding which I hate.
8. If you like SRPGs I'd recommend Jeanne D'Arc over FF Tactics and Disagaea. Jeanne has a faster pace than Tactics and a more interesting and absorbing story than Disgaea. And it has amazing cut-scenes (so does Tactics but I find Tactics far too slow).
9. I download the Asian release of Crimsongem Saga to try it out and it is fantastic! And I don't even like JRPGs.

I agree with a lot of the suggestions on this list. Especially Disgaea, and Jeanne D'arc. Disgaea is an expanded remake of the PS-2 game. Also if you missed Valkyrie Profile on the PS1 that one has a full fledged recommendation from me as well.

All of the Final Fantasy games for the PSP are decent, but they are all expanded remakes. Final Fantasy Tactics: War Of Lions for example is the same FFT game from the PS1 albeit with new characters added to it. FF 1 and FF 2 are the remade versions from the DS but with better graphics and a bit more tightening up (and not packaged together).

I have mixed opinions about Monster Hunter: Freedom. I played the first one a very little bit and then had it stolen with only a little progress, but enough to annoy me. I have the second one but haven't had the heart to play it yet.

At least going by the first one it's a decent action-RPG game combined with a hunting simulation, BUT to use it to full capacity you need other people to play with (which I did not have). It also involves time limits on missions (which I hate), and a camera that goes from painful, to merely annoying as you play it.

For example when deaing with groups of Raptors I had problems not so much because the monsters were tough, but because with them jumping around it was difficult to turn the camera to see what I was doing (my character responded just fine however).
