Starting september, my 3rd and final year of Instrumentation & Engineering at my college. I'll be a technologist (higher up than technician) with the qualifications to work in more places and fields than most other degrees allow. I may go back afterwords and get an Electricians degree which I can get in half the time (2 years) than someone without I&E. With those two, finding a job is pretty much no challenge. If you don't know what my Degree would land me in, think power generation, industrial manufacturing, and other similar facilities. I'm the guy that makes sure everything works and that the plant doesn't blow up, or calibrating things to their new settings (no triquarter though :( ) ect.

As a matter of personal interest, I'd like to know all about your degree aspirations.

For clarity, I'm talking about the University qualification.

What kind of degree would you like to do?/Have you already done one?/Are you doing one now?

Personally I'm applying for a degree in either Viking studies, War studies or History next year.
History degrees are the best! I just finished mine up and they were the best classes I took in college. I focused more on modern history than viking era, but history departments are always great. My only suggestion would be to double major in something else like political science. History degrees are fun to get, but not very applicable unless you want to teach. They also usually don't have too many requirements so they are east to combine with a second major.

I'm majoring in International Security, Asian Studies, and Japanese Language. Sadly, I doubt I have time to add Cultural Anthropology to that list.

I'm getting a Bachelor's (Honors) Degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Image, Politics and Persuasion. I'm taking it because, well, that's where my interests lie. I'm not entirely sure where this is going to get me career-wise. But, this being Canada, with everyone paranoid about the effects of the United States on Canadian culture, I'm sure I'll be able to scrape up work somewhere. ;)

Philosophy is interesting too. I'm taking a course called "Truth and Propaganda" this year which used to be a COMM/PHIL course, and is now only offered as a Philosophy credit. Eh, I need electives.

Well, hoping I have the cash to survive & afford education, then I'm hoping to start an open university course in October.
I plan to take Molecular Sciences and then once I have achieved an honours in that, I'm wanting to get a degree in Forensic Sciences.

I'm really excited about it actually, according to my CV I'm not very intelligent,My educational standing is pretty poor.
So here's to bettering myself.

I'm doing a History degree. I'm probably going to specialise in late Medieval Europe later on.

I got talking to someone to another history student at on open lecture and he seemed interested in 'war studies' so I asked him why he didn't take that instead. He replied that it looks better on a CV to have an history degree. So if you opt for a history course that allows for wild modules (modules from other subjects) you can have the best of both worlds!
Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to do war studies 'cause theres intelligence or military careers in it, although if I could take it as a wild module that'd be great.

Hoping to do Classics at Oxford if I can get the grades. Shouldn't be an issue for Latin, because I'm very, very good at it; but Greek could be problematic. I swear there are more irregular verbs than regular ones.

It really messes with my head.

Graphic Art degree at the moment, was kind of a waste of time. Thinking of going elsewhere for a Fine Art or Illustration degree.

Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical trade.

I was doing Bachelor of Primary Education, but it was just bullshit all the red tape a male primary school teacher had to limbo underneath. So I go to tafe now, and earn more learning than I would have as a teacher. Funny ol' world.

Let's see.

Currently have: Associates of English, Private Pilot License, Insturment Rating, Multi-Engine Private License and Single Engine Commercial License.

Things to get within the next 2 years: Business Management BA, Professional Pilot BA and possibly a minor in German as a foreign language.

Aside from the actual school stuff. For my Professional Pilot degree, I just have to take 3 checkrides at whatever university I decide on. Most likely Oklahoma State University. So I can wrap up the Multi-Comm, and flight instructor ratings.

Though I very seriously see myself as a professional student.

Currently struggling through my Computer Engineering degree in the premier Engineering institute in the Philippines. After which, I might try to get a sponsorship to fulfill my childhood dream of being a pilot (there's a relatively cheap flight school here, but it requires that the students must have finished at least a four-year course first). Or I might attempt a Master's degree in Business Administration somewhere down the line, heeding the advice of one of my professors, cuz well, he landed a managerial position by the age of 25 and the only thing preventing his promotion at the time is his lack of a Business Administration degree (as you climb the corporate ladder, the less and less you would need your technical skills. This is where the MBA degree comes in. Needless to say, I idolize him quite a bit).
