History degrees are the best! I just finished mine up and they were the best classes I took in college. I focused more on modern history than viking era, but history departments are always great. My only suggestion would be to double major in something else like political science. History degrees are fun to get, but not very applicable unless you want to teach. They also usually don't have too many requirements so they are east to combine with a second major.WrongSprite said:As a matter of personal interest, I'd like to know all about your degree aspirations.
For clarity, I'm talking about the University qualification.
What kind of degree would you like to do?/Have you already done one?/Are you doing one now?
Personally I'm applying for a degree in either Viking studies, War studies or History next year.
Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to do war studies 'cause theres intelligence or military careers in it, although if I could take it as a wild module that'd be great.carnkhan4 said:I'm doing a History degree. I got talking to someone to another history student at on open lecture and he seemed interested in 'war studies' so I asked him why he didn't take that instead. He replied that it looks better on a CV to have an history degree. So if you opt for a history course that allows for wild modules (modules from other subjects) you can have the best of both worlds!
Can we cross the streams?Ken Korda said:Ooh ooh! Let me join in with this academic pissing contest!
