Dwemer? Those are a Dwarven race in Morrowind. Or were anyway. Bastards died out.
Been a while since I played TESIV. Need to format my laptop to play the PC version, for now I only can use the Xbox version.
According to the game I thought I read that they just suddenly all disappeared one day, not that they died out, per se.

Oblivion only has about 7 cities (not including Kvatch) which made me sad...
The only Elder Scrolls I've played is Oblivion, however.

As for the lore, I do believe you can pick up an excerpt from an Elder Scroll from the countess of Leyawiin.
I'll see if I can't find it again. (I have too many houses!)

And lastly, Dwemer are very interesting creatures, but in Oblivion, they are only referenced in books. Things like their morals and how their armor is made of hollowed-out machines and stuff.

Uggghhhh..... My brain hurts now....

I always just assumed that the Deep Ones were mole people.
There are no Mole people in the TES lore, don't be silly.

We only have Slugs, Cats, Lizards, Dragons and such.
And mudcrabs with incredibly good bargains = P

Obviously the races with the most confusing, and therefore best, lore are the Khajit and Argonians. Khajit can be one of a variety of different types based ENTIRELY on when they were born? Amazing. They can do the Elder Scrolls form of of heroin with no ill effects? Again, amazing. And then Argonians are lizard people living in a continent dominated by living tree gods and is literally unconquerable due to the wide variety of Argonian races (one of them can FLY!) and the number of unspeakable horrors in the swamps.

Anyone else on the Escapist read the Elder Scrolls novel yet?

The only reason Morrowind felt larger was that a hamstrung turtle could probably beat you in a race. You could move a lot faster in oblivion, apart from using the boots of blinding speed. Was the N'gasta book not just an esperanto newsletter put into daedric alphabet.

Found it. In my Bravil home, I found Divining the Elder Scrolls.
It goes as follows:

... of night. The Elder Scrolls themselves can pierce the viel. They offer a view of the flux of Time itself. The prophet who reads the scroll sees one version of what might be. Another prophet might have a different vision of equal veracity. The price for insight is the reader's sight. He is struck blind and...

Anything, O veteran players of the Elder Scrolls? 'Cause this means nothing to me...
From my Oblivion knowledge, these prophets sound like those of the Temple of the Ancestor Moths...

Fun fact about Khajiit: Their name means "Sand to Walk", and Ja'Khajiit means "Kitten", or Mehrunes Dagon. And you can hear the language of the Khajiit in Redguard.

And, wait, flying argonians?
Seriously?

AWESOME.

And I'm trying to find a place that ships to over here.

That it was, but still.
Yeah the Sarpa tribe and some of the Naga apparently can fly/have wings. It's described in the book "The Argonian Account" in game.

Man, I need to find that book.
ASAP.
There are four volumes. Volumes 1 and 3 cannot be found in any store. I have hear volume three can be found in the Arcane University's archives, but I've yet to confirm. One of my characters procured volume 1 from a quest involving bears and a farmer. However, upon completion of the quest, my current character merely recieved A Warp in the West another skill book that gives a blade boost.
The Argonian Account: Volume 1 is also a skill book, but I know not of which skill it boosts.

According to UESP, the first is just random loot and a reward for Bear Season.
The second can possibly be bought from Renoit's books in Chorrol
The third can only be found in the Arcane University (apparently),
and the fourth one can only be bought in Mach-Na's Books in Cheydinhal.

EDIT: Oh, and the first one boosts Athletics.
Volume 3 is the only one I, as a person, need to read in order to finish the story. However, I vividly remember scanning the Archives for volume 3 and didn't find it. I suppose I'll have to check again.
There is also a strange book about Khajiit in the Chydinhal Sanctuary. If you're really interested in the Khajiit, you should read it.

LORE [http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Main_Page]
Anyway. Can anyone shed some light on how Umbra got from Morrwoind to cyrodiil. Since the Nerevarine travveld to Akavir and most likely took his weapons with him.
My thoughts are he might have left Umbra in the possession of one of the Morrowind Blades who was then recalled to cyrodiil and "misplaced it" some how.
Official lore aside, perhaps Umbra "chose" a new master (as Yagrum's artifact book mentions). Or else, someone stole it from the Mournhold museum...

Location: Arcane University Mystic Archives, upstairs, south wall, right bookshelf, above the Novice Alembic.

And what would be the books name, if you can remember?
The book is the Ahzirr Traajijazeri. The book is located on top of a barrel in the Cheydihal Sanctuary. Upon entering the Training Room, turn right. You will see a barrel with two poisons and a book on top of it. This is the book you are looking for. It's kind of hard to read because of all the Khajiit names and words.
Edit: One step ahead, I see... lol
