Man! GEMS got banned?! Bummer.

How's this (I know I am not the only one either) I can play GH songs on a real guitar, but not past medium in the game.
Slash can't beat himself in-game.

I think Metal Mario in Super Smash brothers is Ironic :D

Wait...

Seriously though, I reckon the whole Resident Evil concept of

> Fight once in a life time plague virus infected city.
> Never ever likely to experience this again.
> Travel to your next town and realise that yes, it has been virused and taken over.
> Have every single attempt at exposing/uncovering the reason result in a 'nuclear meltdown' in a city which doesn't even have a nuclear power plant.
> Despite trying to expose it to the world, never actually meeting another one of the virus survivor protoganists from the previous games.

And the above all completing a vicious zombie filled survival game, earning the ability to complete the vicious zombie filled game once again, perhaps with the addition of more powerful weapons, removing the whole point of 'survival'.
*NOT IRONY*
My soul hurts.

This would be great if it was true: Marcus Fenix is gay, or Master Chief, so funny for Marcus Fenix=god painintheasses on live.

Nilcypher: if the designers added to the story by making them gay, the legions of people who idealize them would in most cases be emasculated which i think would be hilarious, for instance i've heard people say they would kill to be like marcus fenix, then make fun of gay people. I could point this out to them for days, really annoying them. i'd think it was funny

And wat does liking The Blood Angels have to do with anything? i liked the armour more than other chapters, and i think some of the others look vaguely racist.

I find the Final Fantasy sequels ironic. After all if the first was the Final then how in the world are more being made?
Money leeching, although they usually give us times of fun with it.
I don't know if you said that without knowing the original story behind the making of Final Fantasy or not but I'll make it brief to not occupy time. Square was in a financial rump, nearly entering bankruptcy so they fetched the story telling Hironobu Sakaguchi. In tribute to the situation they were in, they decided to call what could be their last game Final Fantasy.

Of course that never happened and before I'd just think that it was called that since it was kinda like the final fantastical adventure of the characters in each game's independent world. That is, until FF X-2 came along and screwed the whole thing for me.
I believe I speak for everyone when I say all FF games after 10 (X) became mainstream material, unfitting for us true fans.

(First off, I am a huge MGS fan)

In MGS4 when Naomi tells Snake

"If you won't be a prisoner to fate...Then go, fufill your destiny."

...WTFHAX!

AFAIK, the Master Chief is asexual or something. His sexual urges have been dulled or something similar.
Ouch, life sux for a spartan.

I don't know if this counts:
But my friend was playing GTA4 and had low health, he was driving around looking for food to heal him. He found a cluckin' bell and he LITERALLY said:
"ah! A cluckin' bell, just my luck!"
He then got out of the car and was run over and killed by a 4x4.

Struck me as pretty ironic.

Dan or Sam Houser's car getting stolen. I'm just waiting for this to happen so I can chuckle at the irony.

Also Jack Thompson getting murdered by an Amish person would such sweet, delicious irony.

Gamers decrying a lack of good, quality games, then buying one million copies of Jaws Unleashed while letting Psychonauts slink into barely lukewarm commercial success.

This is irony. Or, at the very least, enough to make me sigh despondantly.

In general, it's because Flicken gets the facts wrong whilst attempting to dismiss someone else, therefore making his own comments dismissal-worthy.

In 40K specific, the Blood RAVENS, which is to whom the shoulder badge belongs, are very different to the Blood Angels. Aside from their rules and background, the Blood Angels contribution to videogaming was also markedly different; Blood Angels gave us Space Hulk, Blood Ravens gave Dawn of War.

Anyway, sidetracking.

My own Irony:

The fact that, at present, Half-Life 2, has the shortest gaming Half-Life in my collection*.

* Gaming Half-Life is defined by the time between picking up the title for the first time and playing, to the time when I feel it has become a chore to play on it.

*snicker* This just happened. I was on the phone with my little brother...long story short I was doing some in-office babysitting and my nephew had called his mom because I wouldn't give him his PSP back (I was on a roll, damnit!) and she thought it was funny and called my brother who called me, blah blah blah...anyway, I gave the game back and we started talking and he kept teasing me about still playing on a PS2 when suddenly I hear all this cursing down the line, so I ask...what the hell just happened? The answer was "I just got RRODd...uh...can I borrow some of your PS2 games? And your PS2?"

How about Lost Odyssey. The irony of the fact that its such a great game that no one knows about greatly overpowers the devastatingly ironic dreams and storyline. Well, not really, but still...
