These were, I admit, all things I wasn't sure about.

The warmth thing.
Second, I can't allow the future sight.
In both cases, I wasn't sure how overtly divine the demi-gods are; evidently less so than I had first thought. I'm happy to cut these right out.

"the presence of a god is harsh on those of mortal stock."
I wasn't sure where we were coming from with the Gods, so I went for the safe option and assumed that taking a few days out with the god of the sun is going to leave you a little disorientated. This was based, as you may guess, on the idea of gods being way above mortals and even demi-gods; when I edit this I'd like a guidance on what Apollo is supposed to look like in cannon. (Am I even allowed to meet Apollo?)

Fourth, in the past you have proven to be unreliable, often vanishing for weeks at a time. How can I be sure that the same won't happen again?
In the past I've been subject to a lot of limitations on what I do with the little free time I had. Now I'm done with school I have more free time and personal freedom, and my own laptop that won't get confiscated.
Beyond that, the best proof I can give you is by doing good in this RP, if you'll have me.

I still don't understand this. What are you suggesting? And what do you mean by 'where we were coming from with the gods'?

I think I can answer a few things.
1-In the series and if I recall, God's do indeed have a "Divine" True form which most mortals and Demigods can't exactly look at.

I.e from old Myths, (summary), Zeus in attempts to woo a girl said he would grant her one wish, declaring he was Zeus (all powerful and mighty). The girl left to ponder was tricked by another deity, saying that to prove he is Zeus, he should show her his true form.
On their next meeting, the girl told Zeus her wish, and despite being reluctant, he had promised her anything.
Upon his transformation the woman burst in to flames. (Look up the story on the internet, it is what we have)

It'd be damn inconvenient as such, if any god walking around would just kill/horribly burn any who saw them. Imagine them like a light with dimmer switches. You can turn it down so all can see, or turn it up and blind those who look at it.
Asides from that no other real negative effect comes from hanging around a god (voiding that as is they are God, and can turn you in to dust basically, and may attract trouble).

2-As or confusion from where we get the ideas for the Gods (as in some more specific details, not general knowledge), pretty sure the basis is on Greek Mythos, and the book series this RP is based off of. I'm guessing ThreeWords you missed that part, or never read/heard of the series.

*EDIT*-Due to Lag, my post was missing a chunk of text, fixed that.

Alright, considering that life has considerably slowed down for me quite a bit (all the moving's done, job's on a nice easy schedule right now) I'll start making up a demigoddess with some artifice powers (daughter of Hephaestus obviously).

What Raynoson says is rather true; I haven't read the Percy Jackson books, and much of the problems with my sheet source from a confusion on the nature of the Gods. This is a pity, but I want to sort it out by making what edits you feel are required, while still retaining the core character I came up with.

Here's my Character Sheet, Originally crafted for 2.0, and extended for 3.0:
Name: Gabriel "Gabe" Emile Aeckerd
Age: 21
Sex: Male

Appearance: Gabriel would consider his family tree to be somewhat complex. From what he's learned, he's about 50% Micronesian, 25% African-American, and 25% Native American. Because of this, Gabe possesses a fair reddish-tan/olive complexion, dark brown eyes and smooth black hair (of which he tends to keep in the form of a very low buzz cut). He stands at 6 feet 1 inch(es), sporting an average build on an athletic frame. Gabe tends to wear clothes that disregard the concept of order. His t-shirts, jeans, and jackets are usually worn, torn, dingy, and generally distraught. He prefers dark colors over most, and hates to accessorize.

Personality: Gabriel would be considered the type to not always "play well with others". If the situation doesn't call for it, he'll try his hardest to keep to himself. He also houses a hair-triggered temper. Not too keen on smiling either. If someone gets too disrespectful towards him, he wouldn't hesitate to throw the first punch. He is not the talkative type, and won't raise his voice past a quiet monotonic unless he's provoked emotionally. Despite all this, Gabe is capable of being friendly; he just needs to be around the right types.

Divine Parent: Demeter, the Goddess of the Harvest.

Demigod Abilities: As an imprint left by his otherworldly mother, Gabriel possesses the ability to control and manipulate all forms of plant life. As long as said plants are his immediate space, they're at his disposal. While he hasn't quite fully learned how to weaponize plants past the obvious vine whips and thorned clubs, he's quite versed with creating fruits, vegetables, and grains. They came to him on an almost subconscious level, most likely due to his mother's divinities.

Weapon(s) and Wargear: Gabriel?s never been too versed on classes of weaponry, though he?s remembered watching the dryads of Central Park use makeshift Bows, Arrows, and Daggers to fend off hostile creatures. He does, however, carry a young, potted sapling in his bookbag. As one might expect from a child of the Harvest, Gabe bends the sapling to his will, usually having it extend out of his bag to entrap or inflict damage upon his foes.

When no one?s looking, he likes to tend to the sapling, keeping it healthy. Secretly, he hopes it?ll be able to grow up into a full size tree, one day.

Enchanted Item(s): None.

Biography: One could say that Gabriel's lived a hard life. On a quiet night in April, a couple was admitted into a hospital in Queens, NY. At 10:20 pm, a beautiful baby boy was brought into the world. His mother blessed him with the first and last name of his father before he was placed in the nursery. Within the short time the parents were left alone, they seemingly vanished from the ER, the mother's name gone from the birth certificate. Fortunately, the hospital staff was able to find a next of kin. After a bit of notifying and paper signing, the fresh faced babe was turned over to the nearest relative: the father's mother.

Gabriel lived his young life filled with resentment towards his parents, learning of his father through his grandmother, but knowing nothing of his mother. His unguided anger became a core part of his attitude and mentality, and it kept him unfocused and careless towards school. His grandmother tried to put him on the right track, but her steady aging only feigned further ignorance from the boy. Despite his delinquencies, his strangely unhinged intelligence kept him from failing out of school. A third of a way into ninth grade, Gabriel's 15th birthday rolled around. Around 12 AM that quiet night, he had a strangely peculiar dream. He found himself wondering through a serene park, the scenario confusing yet immensely calming. A radiant being seemingly materialized beside him and embraced him, her touch felt warm and loving. Gabriel hugged back, and for once, he felt loved. It was one of the rare times where he smiled, and it didn't feel forced. He could barely make out her face, but the fragments he did see resembled someone from a very important part of his life. She spoke to him in a soft, affectionate voice, a said but a few words.

"Soon, you will see the world as I. It is up to you shape your destiny hereafter. You're a part of a much larger family now Gabriel. And a part of a much larger world..."

He awoke from the dream before he could question the occurrence, the sun outside his window barely risen. The words said to him in the dream replayed in his head. He was ready to shape his destiny. He didn't know how, exactly, but he decided that residing with his grandmother would get him nowhere (along with a thought that hung at a corner in his mind, a thought that assumed that his grandmother would be better off if she didn't have to worry about her delinquent grandson getting into trouble at school every other day). With his vigorous volition concreted in his psyche, he packed what he thought was necessary, gave his still sleeping guardian a quiet farewell, and departed from the smelly, dank apartment complex to watch the sun greet him as he began traversing out of Queens.

It was said that later in the day his grandmother was greeted by two stocky, hairy men who looked fairly uncomfortable in the pants they wore. They asked for Gabriel, and his grandmother suggested for the two to try looking for him at his school, where she assumed he'd be.

By the time he realized he was hungry, the sun was a fair's way into the sky, and Gabriel was in Manhattan. As he took note of his surroundings, he immediately began to take notice of things that were very out of the ordinary. Strange beings and entities walked among regular humans, beings that normal looking humans didn't seem to notice. Was this some type of joke? Did Gabriel mistakenly wander onto a movie filming? He was in this area just yesterday; it wasn't like this then. In hopes to clear his mind (and to prevent a scene of freaking out), Gabriel ducked into the park across the street from where he stood; Central Park, it was called. Unaware to him, he was being trailed by a tall, lurching shadow...

Two steps into the park, a subtle buzzing sensation began to ring through Gabriel's head. The buzzing/tingling feeling became much more prominent as he stepped onto the grass, and closed the gap between him and the plentiful trees and brush that inhabited the giant park. The sound rose to a point that it began to play over the sounds of chirping birds and outside pedestrians and cars. He turned his head to and fro, wondering where the noise was originating from. Was he near a beehive? The noises in his ear were more hurtful than helpful, and annoyed him profusely. With a hasty sigh, Gabriel sat down against the nearest tree, one that housed a very wide trunk. Plopping his backpack down beside him, he rested his head in his hands. Too much stuff was happening for him at once, too much stuff that he couldn't completely comprehend.

Before he could put another question to every strange thing happening, a lingering shadow rushed up to him, blending in with the overcasting shade of the leaves that hung from that massive tree. In the split second used to pull his head up past his shoulders, Gabriel was ripped from his train of thought as a graying monstrosity leaped at him from the shadow, fangs and claws bare. Unaware and unprepared, Gabriel received full extent of the attack, a heavy swipe from the beast tossing him away from his sitting position. His shirt was reduced to shreds where the attacked landed, blood leaking from the series of long gashes that appeared at his chest. He staggered to his feet, one hand at his chest, the other tightened into a fist. The massive hound kept a steady glare on his prey, sauntering back and forth, looking for an opening. It pounced again with maw agape, its teeth aimed for Gabriel's jugular veins. The boy expected the attack this time, intercepting the hound's jaws with outstretched arms.

The force of the lunge, accompanied by the hound's sheer size and weight was more than enough to put Gabriel on his back. The hound was now standing over him, trying its best to shake out of Gabriel's grasp. With every vicious jolt from the hound, Gabriel felt his grip begin to slip, the fear within him beginning to strengthen. As the two wrestled, the tree overcasting them began producing long vines from its branches, those of which began slink down towards the hound. Gabriel's strength faltered soon after, the vines becoming his saving grace as they speedily engulfed the large dog before hoisting it back into the thick canopy. He gave it one last look before grabbing his bag and hastily fleeing deeper into the park.

Afternoon rolled around in Central Park. After ensuring he was as far away from that mutated canine as possible, Gabriel took a seat at a nearby bench to catch his breath. He looked down at himself. His chest, stomach, and (what remained of his) shirt was caked with drying blood, dirt, and grass stains. The only thing running through his head was more questions. How did that dog get so big? How did that tree save him? Why was this all happening to him? As his mind continually reeled with queries, there was a being perched high in a tree behind him. She looked on cautiously, yet displayed a look of annoyance.

She dropped down from her hiding spot, and strode towards the confused boy, tapping him on a dirty shoulder. Gabriel jumped in fright, and jumped again as he turned to get a glimpse of the girl's peculiar look. Her ears were unusually long and pointed, her skin was a flushed color of green, her shoulder-length dark green hair was filled with twigs and leaves, and she wore clothing weaved from leaves of various sizes. She began to rant on about there being a hellhound wrapped and strapped to her tree, and wanting the son of Demeter to take it down. The title bestowed him upon stuck out in his mind, the "son of Demeter".

"You...know my parents?" He asked the young lady. She shrugged, replying that only a son of the Goddess of Agriculture and the Harvest could manipulate her tree in such a way. Her words left Gabriel slightly speechless. He summoned the vines? He was the son of a goddess? The girl saw his look of confusion and smiled.

"You're new to this, aren't you?"

"New to what?"

"Being a Demigod. I mean, you have to be one! Only a demi would be able to see Dryads and Hellhounds, and have the abilities that reflect that of their parents." She replied, now joining him on the bench. He was still going over what she said. So he was a Demigod now? He sighed. More questions and more confusion.

"Can you tell me more about Demigods? About...my mom?"

"Yeah...just get the hellhound out of my tree first." The wood nymph replied with a smile before introducing herself with the name Willow. Gabriel didn't really smile back, but her friendliness did cause him to warm up to her.

6 years pass. While attending and eventually graduating High School, Gabriel lived among the Dryads of Central Park. With their help, he grasped a better understanding of his abilities, and became ever more appreciative towards the nature around him. The buzzing in his head turned into fairly audible whispers that traveled on the wind. His time spent among the peaceful wood nymphs came at a price, however. Hellhounds, harpies, furies, and other horrors not only attacked him on his home turf, but at his school as well. He's watched many a dryad fall trying to protect him. He knew that the monsters were only coming for him, and the feeling of guilt ate at him. The night of his 20th birthday, he drove himself out of Central Park, to keep their lives safe from his curse. He found a sound happiness living in that Park, and being away from them caused his emotions to go back to its quiet, hostile, state. From a broken boy, to a broken adult, Gabriel aimlessly roamed the city, unsure and fairly uncaring of where his life went next.

One day, through his travels of vagrancy, Gabriel found himself on the outskirts of Long Island, and smack-dab in the middle of a conflict between two opposing parties. It wasn't a disagreement over him, so to say, Gabriel just seemed to have knack of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. To the untrained eye, one might mistake the scuffle to be some sort of gang war. To Gabriel, the fight looked more like something you wouldn't see on an everyday basis. A small group of individuals (most of which, looked to be in their teens) were engaged in fierce combat between an even smaller (and steadily shrinking) group of gorgons. Some of the kids used weapons of mythical origin, weapons that shone a brilliant gold-like color, while others used the elements to gain the upper hand. And then there was Gabe, dumbstruck while trying to fully assess the situation, unaware of the monstrous snake-woman that slowly approached behind him.

Before the monster of Grecian legend could inflict any damage upon the boy, it was stuck down by a volley of arrows. As the battle died down, he found himself being approached by the kids, and they began bombarding him with questions while they murmured amongst themselves. Where'd he come from? Could he see the gorgons? Was he a demigod? The last question fully acquired Gabriel's attention, and answering his own questions. It was no doubt that these kids were the half-godspawns he may have been subconsciously searching for. And with that, he decided to answer all their questions.

"My name is Gabe. My mother is one of the gods. Demeter, is her name." He told them, quietly. One of the teens (one which seemed to be the eldest), stepped towards Gabriel, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"You should come with us, then. There's no safe haven outside of Camp Half-Blood for demis like us." The boy said, leading Gabriel and his group to the fabled camp. Gabe may not have known where he was being lead, but he figured he might as well go with the kids, and give himself a few nights of easy rest.

Notes: He doesn't like to admit it, but Gabriel has a natural talent for cooking. And according to previous acquaintances, he has a strange taste in music.

Also, Raven, my laptop breathed its last breath sometime on the 7th. And the house PC is operating on Windows 8. So consider my posting speed and communications to be slightly dampened until sometime next week.

She is slightly more pale then normal due to her parenthood and habit of being outside at night far more then at the day time.

Personality: Mitshko is very bright and serious at times. However, she's not above cracking a few jokes but humor has a tendency to go right over her head. She will flirt with someone she thinks is worth chasing but won't throw herself at them. Looks to her doesn't mean much if the person behind it is an ass. She wants a nice guy, or girl, just like her. She likes to spend time alone and loves to be outside at night, she also keeps things that are bothering her on the inside not letting much out unless it's needed. She is one to not like causing issues for others around her. She's respectful of others feelings and is known for having a smile on her face.

She works hard on her training, doing so before bed and has been known to get up before dawn to train even more. She has always been a support to her fellow campers, answering any questions they may have and guiding them when they need help. Due to her up brining, she has a poetry night once a month for her and the camp to read ether poetry they made or their favorite poems in the Amphitheater. Even if she's the only one that shows up she still enjoys herself.

Divine Parent: Nyx [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyx]

Demigod Abilities: She can fade in and out of visibility as long as it's not in an open area. Her powers are stronger at night due to her mother. Mitsuko as is has enhanced agility meaning she can run faster and jump higher than the average person. With that also comes better muscle control improving her flexibility and reflexes.

Weapons: A pair of daggers.

Enchanted Items: Mitsuko has a pair of boots that make her run faster and gloves that give her hands better dexterity. She also has a necklace that that she's had since birth that belonged to her mother that when she goes into stealth makes her footsteps silent.

Biography: Mitsuko grew up in Tokyo with her poet and astrologer father. While growing up she learned the history of poetry and astrology. Her father always loved to her and made sure she was comfortable even when he was away for work. It turns out for years Nyx took the form of a pale white woman who would visit him every full moon. Over the years they both fell in love and on the night they created Mitsuko she told him she was the goddess Nyx. However, she made her father promise to never tell Mitsuko who her mother was. When she was growing up Mitsuko found she had vanishing when she felt ether scared or nervous. Over time she was able to control it with some skill.

When Mitsuko turned 15 the necklace she was given at birth, opened reveling a message from her mother. Within the message were details of who her mother was and what powers she gave to Mitsuko. After that Mitsuko met Chiron who told her about Camp Half-Blood. So far she's spend 3 years at camp getting to know the other demigods just like her. When she turned 18, Nyx came to the camp to see Mitsuko. Her mother helped her to better understand her powers and to explain more about why she had visited her father for years on the night of a full moon. She also found out she had a twin sister. Her twin had died when they were both a few months old due to complications from Whooping Cough.

Even though Mitsuko didn?t know her twin sister, she still feels remorse. No so much that her sister died, but that she was the one to live. In her mind she knows it?s irrational but her heart still hasn?t recovered. She trains hard not just to be stronger but so she herself will feel as if she is living for her sister. She has a hard time with her fellow Nyx siblings because of it, which is why she seems cold to them.

Relationships With Other Characters: She's been a member of the camp for a few years now. She, for the most part, keeps to herself and enjoys the moon at night. She has some friend but due to her reclusive nature they don?t see her much.

So in the end? I'm going with a totally different character!

Name: Martin Franks
Age: 19
Sex: Male

Appearance: Martin's ethnicity is rather difficult to determine just by looking at him as his features are pretty mashed up, though his skin does tend towards a slight olive tint that might hint at something Mediterranean. Martin is not particularly tall though he is rather thin and wiry; however, what little mass he does have is almost entirely tight muscle rather then bone.

Martin's face is rather broad and round with features that match eliminating much chance he had at being considered classically handsome. His ears in particular tend to stick out quite broadly. As an advantage though, his face is also rather maliable and he often uses that to make funny faces. Martin's eyes are a very dark brown that stand out a little against his wavy light brown hair that he usually keeps cut to about ear length.

Martin nearly always wears sweatpants when it's cold and shorts when it's hot along with t-shirts and light sweaters, anything to maximize flexibility and comfort. Unlike most campers though, he never wears boots or sandles; always sticking with thin soled light weight shoes.

Personality: Martin is all but completely a professional clown, always feeling much better when everyone else is smiling, laughing, and having a good time. When others aren't he will almost always personally take on the task of changing that through the most direct method possible. As a consummate performer Martin finds it easy to prattle on and on even while he actually focuses on something totally different. While Martin doesn't always have to be the center of attention he can get quite lonely when nobody else is around. He also tends to have problems with holding still for very long and fidgets nearly all the time.

Some assume that because of his constant capering and clowning Martin is a fool or insensitive, but he actually has quite a good sense of people and the subtle; he just finds them a bit more difficult to get a laugh with.

Divine Parent: Hermes

Demigod Abilities: Martin has a perfect sense of balance and near complete control over his body's balance.

Martin also seems to have a slightly stronger ability to see though illusions and mist effects.

Weapons and Wargear: Martin carries a sling with a pouch of celestial bronze bullets as well as a celestial bronze gladius. When he is ready for real combat he also has a medium sized shield emblazoned with his own mark; a fiddle over an erected 3 mast tent. For armor, Martin really only wears arm guards, greaves, and a jacket of hardened leather with metal studs sown in.

Enchanted Items: Martin has a bright red silk streamer that, with a word, can extend or shrink in length. Martin usually keeps it up his sleeve or in a pocket where he can draw it with suitable flair. Martin, er, acquired it... somewhere.

Biography: Martin never knew either of his parents growing up since his mother died giving birth and nobody knew who his father was. However, Martin was never lonely in his young life, indeed he grew up regarding an entire circus troupe like his family. Martin's mother had been a star act for the traveling circus group, an aerialist of incredible beauty and grace, and when she tragically passed away there was no question that her only child would be cared for by the close knit group. Besides, it wasn't as if the traveling crew didn't already have a few children around the place from it's various couples and other employees.

Martin's young life was full of happiness and excitement. The circus never stayed in any one place for very long, but the adults were all kind and caring, and there were quite a few other children to play with. The various parents and other adults took turns seeing to the children's education in subjects both conventional: history, science, mathematics, reading and writing (which Martin always had trouble with); as well as exotic: juggling, tumbling, pratfalls.

Not that life was all fun and games, Martin and the other children also had jobs to do around the circus; starting with the simple like sweeping up, delivering messages, holding things and getting more complex as they grew up. Of course they all knew what the end goal was, a place in the big tent show with an act of their own.

By the time Martin was 13 he had been up and down the eastern seaboard and over the American Midwest many times. While he was no expert he was almost unnaturally talented, easily picking up a myriad of performance skills; tumbling, clowning, high rope walking, trapeze jumping, fiddle playing, singing, juggling, and quite a few others. People in the circus had great hopes for him, he had even been performing small parts in various acts. However, all was not perfect.

Martin had always noticed strange things in the circuses travels, weird people or places that would sometimes appear clearly different then normal. After young experiences of everyone discounting the oddities he learned not to talk about them. There was one exception though; one of the old side-acts, a 'snake woman' named Laimos, believed Martin and said she could also see the abnormalities. She explained that they were people and places of magic, that only special people like her and Martin could see them.

One day though everything changed. While sweeping up one of the outer lots alone Martin was suddenly attacked by a strange woman with one donkey leg and one leg made of brass. She had incredible strength and Martin could only run away, when he was eventually cornered Martin though he would surely die. Then suddenly another figure appeared, it was Laimos!

Martin had seen Laimos's act before; how, using some literal light and mirrors according to another magician, she would appear to change from a normal beautiful woman into a terrifying half-woman half-snake monster. But now she was out in the open and she looked even bigger and meaner then ever. Laimos attacked the strange woman and destroyed her, rescuing Martin.

It was that night that Laimos revealed the truth to Martin, he wasn't just any special person; he was the child of a god and a mortal. Martin was a demi-god and would have to learn to defend himself from monsters who might come after him. Laimos gave Martin an old chipped sword and a sling, from that day onwards she taught him to use them in addition to everything else that he was learning. Martin wasn't a natural fighter, but under Laimos's sometimes harsh regime he grew stronger and began incorporating his natural athletics into his arsenal.

It was shortly after Martin's 18th birthday that he was stopping in to visit Laimos when he witnessed a trio of armed people around his age arguing with Laimos and threatening her. Martin quickly retrieved his weapons and barged in; no one was going to hurt his friend and mentor!

The fight was over before Martin even realized it. The three heroes didn't hurt Martin much, but he was quickly disarmed and subdued. Later, Laimos explained another truth; she herself was a monster, a lamia, though one who had tired of hunting heroes and eating children. She said she had changed and Martin believed her without hesitation, but the three heroes were quite set; Martin could not stay with the circus, he would go and live at Camp Half-Blood. Laimos also told Martin he should go, at camp they could train him much better then she could and he would be amongst his true kinsmen.

When Martin arrived at camp it barely took any time for him to be claimed. The very first morning that he woke up in camp his blanket was shimmering with an emblazoned lyre that wasn't there the night before. His father was Hermes, a fact that Laimos had never known.

Martin knew that everyone involved had his best interests at heart, but it was still a little difficult to adapt to life at camp. Not only did he have to leave behind Laimos, but the rest of his make shift family and friends. Perhaps even worse though was that Martin began to feel uncomfortable waking up in the same place every day rather then what his previously nomadic lifestyle had embedded in him.

However not wanting to cause trouble, Martin put on a happy face and began to adapt to camp life. This hasn't kept him though from 'running away' several times in the previous year though he always came back before too long.

Despite all that though, Martin has somewhat adapted, making new friends at camp and generally spreading joy and a bit of chaos where ever he goes. He also doesn't feel the need to run away quite as much as he used to either.

Notes: English and Greek are Martin's natural languages, but due to his early nomadic sociable life he has a functional if messy command of several other languages.

To my knowledge, yes GM is giving people until December 8th to finish sheets, I know I'm taking my time to tweak mine and get it just right.

It is. It has just suffered from a lack of activity due to sheets that are still being worked on. I know of at least three that are in progress.

As Captainguy said, the deadline is December 8th; plenty of time for people to finish up what they're working on. During the leadup to the deadline, there may be some posts made by myself to fill in gaps in the world that people may not know. This may include descriptions of locations, events that took place prior to those of the role-play, and possibly other things.

So for now, I simply ask that those who have already posted characters be patient.

During the leadup to the deadline, there may be some posts made by myself to fill in gaps in the world that people may not know. This may include descriptions of locations, events that took place prior to those of the role-play, and possibly other things.

So for now, I simply ask that those who have already posted characters be patient.
That reminds me of a question I had.

You said that the events of the RP are completely removed from the events of the books, but will there still be characters from the books, such as Clarisse in the Ares cabin and Thalia in the Hunters?

Demigods from the series will not be taking part in the role-play. The only characters that cross over into this version are ones that are necessary to the lore. Examples of these would be Chiron, the Pantheon, the Titans, and of course, the monstrous creatures that will be fought.

Well it is good to know this is still alive. It was just being very very quiet. I guess it was hunting wabits.

I suppose something that I've been curious about is, will you be judging sheets as they're submitted, or will you be going through them all for a final once-over when the deadline hits?

Regardless of the way I do it, people are not going to be happy with my decisions. Either I pass initial judgement as the sheets come in, potentially with advice for future improvement, or I hold off until the deadline.

In the case of the former, it builds the applicants up, and they start hoping that with the changes they make under my instruction they'll be accepted. In the case of the latter, it'd be making everyone wait until next month before hearing comments from me.

To sum up: I don't know. Handling applications is not an easy task for a GM. In my experience, at least. Others may have lower standards or be more willing to accept characters that have certain details that I myself frown upon.

Hello, all. Me again, this time with some extra background information for those who wish to read it.

Olympus

During the time of the Ancient Greeks, the summit of Mount Olympus was home to the gods. In the present day, however, they have moved. Mount Olympus remains in Greece, of course, but the divine Olympian Palace moved with the ages. It is currently anchored to the top of New York's Empire State Building, though invisible to humans and humanoids (including demigods) from the outside. No-one would possibly believe that a grand palace, residences, and adjoining plaza are connected to the top of the spire.

Demigods may access the Olympian Palace through the building's lobby: they ask for a guard by the name of John Finn, a regular human with clear vision. John lends the visiting demigods a pass card to access an elevator that ordinary humans cannot enter. The lift takes all passengers to the Olympian Palace.

Upon stepping out of the elevator, one finds oneself on the outskirts of a grandiose marble plaza, decorated with exotic plant life and statuary. Occasionally an animal symbolic of one of the Pantheon can be seen wandering about, or sitting near Hestia's hearth in the center of the square. To the left is an open park in which the Muses play their instruments[sup]1[/sup], while on the right is a residential area akin to a city block of luxury apartment buildings.

Straight ahead from the plaza is a long and winding staircase up to the Palace itself. At the top of the stairs is the Palace entrance, leading straight into the throne room. Here the individual thrones of each of the gods stand, each personalised to that being's domains. The thrones are massive, intended to house beings at a far larger size than an average human.

[sup]1[/sup] When you listen to the Muses playing, the song each individual hears is different, though often purely instrumental rather than having accompanying lyrics.

The Underworld

Hades' counterpart to Olympus, the Underworld is where all spirits go after death. Guarded by Charon the Ferryman and Cerberus, it is home to Hades' palace of black and silver in stark contrast to the Olympian colour scheme of gold, white and marble. Hades built his Underworld home to be an exact copy of the Olympian Palace.

Spirits of the deceased have multiple options of how they wish to spend the afterlife. They can be fast-tracked to the Asphodel Plains (nothing special, good or bad), or stand trial to be moved to a different place. A trial is a simple affair: three notable figures from human history act as judges who examine the subject's actions in life. If they lived a life of cruelty, they are sent to the Fields of Punishment to serve sentence for eternity. Conversely, if they did good and beneficial deeds, they are gifted passage to Elysium, the paradise. Within Elysium are the Isles of the Blest, the place for heroes. Residents of Elysium are given the opportunity to be reborn, to live another life: those who are reborn three times, and three times achieve Elysium, receive entry to the Isles.

Deep within the Underworld is Tartarus, its darkest realm. Here the Titans languish in their eternal prisons, as do some of the most fearsome monsters.

The Underworld can be entered by the living, but only through certain means. Children of Hades can travel via shadows to reach the Underworld, and take others with them if they have the skill. For others, there are three options. First, the primary entrance, which is located in Los Angeles, disguised as a building housing a recording studio. A secondary entrance is the Door of Orpheus, accessible from a rock formation in New York's Central Park. To open the Door, however, music must be played from either side. The third option is the Labyrinth.

The Labyrinth

Daedalus's Labyrinth is an underground maze spanning the entire continental United States, and some parts of Canada and Mexico. Those who have a way through the Labyrinth can travel across the USA in a matter of minutes or hours.

To travel the Labyrinth, you need either Ariadne's thread, or a guide with clear vision. The former is available for use from the camp, which can be loaned out to campers if they wish to travel great distances. The latter is less easily accessible: non-demigod humans with the ability to see through the Mist are few and far between.

The Labyrinth does have its dangers: unique guardians and monsters roaming its halls. However, there are unique locations accessible only through the maze: among them is Daedalus's hidden workshop, containing valuable knowledge and information. In addition, many of the gods' private domains can be entered through the Labyrinth.

Thought the old thread was dead until the deadline, might as well ask a question on mind, how goes sheet processing? If in progress, or simply waiting around for people to "Finish".

Some of the sheets have been checked and cleared - both for acceptance and rejection - while others are awaiting final judgement. As for waiting around, I know of five people working on characters, potentially a sixth if he can come up with a good base for his character.
