Eh sorry i should have been more clear. I just couldnt be arsed to find Black Metal links.

I know At The Gates is Death Metal, although quite unconventional in its early days.


Props on Opeth, although i think that from Blackwater Park it isnt all that depressing.

S'all right I'm only kidding. I'm not that much of a genre schtikler but I'm not overly fond of most Black Metal and At the Gates had always been pretty experimental and hard to define. As for Opeth, depends how you look at it. Lyrically I'd say Still Life going backwards were their most despondant and poetic while the ambience of the music from Blackwater Park onward still elicited a downtrodden reaction. I don't know what kind of shit Akerfeldt thinks he's pulling with Heritage though 0_0 heard a couple of sample tracks and it's got me kinda worried.
