Because of your avatar, and RIPing Layne Staley, and telling the truth about one of my most favourite song, I don't care what gender you are. I love you.

OT: Darkness by Disturbed? Has a piano, none of Draiman's usual vocals, just his sad/creepy (depends on the context) voice.

Also, would you consider Snuff, and Vermilion Part 2 by Slipknot? Acoustic guitar, lyrics about love and rejection. Corey Taylor has an awesome voice for these songs. Like in Stone Sour.

Hey You [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gELhNbDcLE0] and The Great Gig In The Sky [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAydj4OJnwQ]-Pink Floyd, not necessarily depressing but very sad and slow.
A good number of Radiohead songs
Mother Love [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLDsd6lUiR8]by Queen is very sad, at least if you understand the story behind it.
Lonely Day [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3wH7tYkyvM]-System of a Down

So this means you're the boring everyman, and I'm the awesome, good looking, athletic, confidant, dictator of Project Mayhem? I think I win.

Name 5 good movies you were in, and Seven doesen't count, because Morgan Freeman stole the show.

Like in Stone Sour.
what about Circle? that was always my favourite from vol 3. they way the whole band gets worked into the song just blows my mind every time i hear it.

and Darkness was one of like three songs i liked from Believe.

continuing the discussion (if you stopped reading i won't hold it against you):

the mars volta - televators
nine inch nails - the great below
anything by sigur ros
tv on the radio - wolf like me
mudvayne - goodbye (bonus track on a dvd from one of their albums - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzA8j3KeeD8 )

Nearly forgot about good ol' Trent. The Great Below by Nine Inch Nails is very moody aswell...
probably the best song off the Fragile, i fuckin love that album. i send a nomination to Just Like You Imagined, the Day the World Went Away, and I'm Looking Forward to Joining You, Finally as well.

Lights In the Sky from the Slip is pretty powerful, too. just piano and vocals, but very delicate, and only dissonant when it needs to be.
