yeah?

personally i played it on pc, however my friend played it on console and there was little to no difference beyond the fact that he was on his couch with a controller and i was in my chair with my keyboard and mouse

its the same game, the literally slightest difference is smoother graphics capabilities, just about it from what i saw.
what about text size? is it like dead rising was were it was so dam small you could barely see it or is it regular sized?
Depends on your TV resolution. As for your original question, I'd say it's worth it, sure. Hell, I found the PS2 version of the first one to be superior to the PC version. HR though seems to be pretty much even on all platforms.

The console versions are basically the same as PC, and the game is definitely a GOTY contender for me, so I'd say it's worth buying.

I own it on the PS3 because I'm in the same boat. If I turn all the graphics to Ugly-as-Sin, then maybe-MAYBE I can get it to work... but I want to be able to enjoy the graphics as well as the plot. That and I tollerated the PS2 port of the original. ;)

So, in a nut shell; yes, Human Revolution is worth it on the consoles. I'm having a blast playing it on my PS3, and I almost can't put the controller down. About the only hang up I have is aiming with the analog sticks. But it's not THAT bad. I'm not in a multiplayer pvp environment where I need perfect accuracy all the time.

The game was worth my 60 dollars; and I'm a poor college student. That was my game fund for the whole semester.

having played both.....Ideally its better on PC if I had to make a distinction

BUT unless you can run it at close or better graphical settings its perfectly fine on the console, theres really not much difference

because its not much fun playing it while looking like the original dues ex...so unless your SURE your computer can run it, and run it well just go console...

I don't understand why you're talking about Dead Rising here.

Dead Rising was designed as a console game, and it was made by Capcom, whereas Deus Ex was designed as a PC game, and was made by Eidos.

Seriously, they have nothing in common.
Except that their text sizes on regular-def TVs is so small it's unreadable from all but the most unhealthily close distances... dude... reread the post. You missed his question entirely.

It's worth RENTING, but I'm seriously doubting much replay value.
Are you freaking serious? Nevermind the number of different ways you can play the game, but there are also choices all throughout the game that affect the ending. Aside from that, it's a damn great game. Any game that is good has inherit replay value. If Human Revolution doesn't have replay value, what the hell does?

The endings aren't even all that different in reality and mostly everyone will just save load at the ending choice selection screen.

There's really TWO ways to play through it, stealth or run and gun, and maybe be a bit more evil than normal.

So no, not much replay value and the game doesn't make you want to replay it because of some of the things that happen in it.

So no.

Buying? Maaaaaybe.
Its a story game. Its decently long, and it has a fair replay value.

But to me, its not worth buying, because its a story game. Rent it twice, maybe even 3 times. Run through it all you like. But at the end of the day, a story game will almost always be a story game. Theres only so many ways it can end, and only so many ways to get there.

I personally would have bought it if other games werent higher on my list. (The Skyrim collectors edition is soaking up a large sum of my cash, saints row 3 is a must buy, and im going to get either BF3, or MW3. As much is i DONT wanna buy either, i need a new shooter. And that are really the only two viable option.))
Wait what ? i dont even... story game ? is it bad because it has a story ? i ... what?

OT: There's little difference between the two , so it bassically comes down to , do you prefer mice or controlers? But since your computer can't run the game, you don't have much of a choice now do you ?

I have it on the PS3, and it is one of the best games I ever played. A must buy.

@Delsana: Yeah... There are posts that are a difference of opinion, but you sir, are simply wrong. Between playstyles, different scenerios, and secret areas, there will probably be some augments that you may not be able to get by the end of the game. You have the option to save or kill several characters in the game, they can come back to help you if you go one way or the other. It has a great deal of replayability.
