Also, Akira fucking Toriyama was a producer - ain't NOTHING in this film that doesn't have his approval. Your collective whining means shit in the face of the creator's choice.

First, check the IMDB page, Akira Toriyama's only credit is a writing one based SOLELY on the fact that he wrote the manga. He had no creative input on this movie. Even if he was given a producers credit, that doesn't mean anything. It would essentially mean "here's a big stack of cash for creating this thing we're gonna bastardize."

Which returns to another point I made - Dragonball is srs business.

I agree. I love Dragonball. From the beginning of DB to the end of DBZ, Dragonball is, in my eyes, the perfect cartoon, which is why it's so heartbreaking that this movie sucks.
