Sadly Desert Bus 5 is over for now, the Loading Ready Run team raised an amazing $376,253.01 at time of writing for Child's Play. That doesn't include DB5 t-shirt sales, Poster[footnote]Hand designed by Michael Lunsford during the course of Desert Bus[/footnote] pre-orders or other totals that will go straight from the sales to Child's Play as Desert Bus is now over.

So how much did you watch of this years Desert Bus? I'm sad already that it's gone :(

Did you donate? If so how much? I think I donated roughly $200 which is £130 or something in real money in the end through all the challenges and other stuff.

Did you win anything? I won some 8-Bit buttons and Creepy Doll decals for 3rd prize in the Googly Eye challenge! And I also pre-ordered a poster that you can ask to be signed!

Again;

[HEADING=2]$376,253.01[/HEADING] at least! Raised for Child's Play! And a total play time of just over 150 hours! Over $166,000 more than last year! And raising the total raised over the 5 Desert Buses to about $819,000!

Fantastic! Utterly amazing job from the LRR crew and everyone who donated!

EDIT: Anyone interested in donation comparisons with previous years, driver shift donations and Kroze vs Ashton (Kroze should have won!) etc can look here;

What a good number! Wish I could have donated :O

Still, the good times on the bus will keep me pleased for the next little while.

Whale Dong to the everyone involved with it, and boy do I mean everyone. Those last 6 or so hours were some of the most emotional moments I've had that didn't involve friends or family. I very nearly cried manly tears when Graham was reading out the Make-A-Wish letter. I would post a lot more about it, but I fear everything I would say about it would take up FAR too much space. Til next year...And I swear to God, I'll try to have money by then to compete in the auctions.

Also, http://www.youtube.com/user/Cawendaw has pretty much everything as far as I'm aware in it.

I worked out I watched over 100 hours, which in a WEEK is HALF of the time I'm supposed to be putting into my undergrad dissertation over a whole YEAR!

I donated $75.70 which about £50 something, so more than a weeks budget. On top of that I bought the T-shirt and the poster.

Didn't win anything, but I don't care. I got to see some spectacular events, see people donate crazy money for awesome things and NOTCH slaying everyone with that $10,000 bid on that rare/mythic magic sheet.

Plus I joined in with the eye leakage at the end, especially when Graham cracked up. Even for a regular joe like me sitting at home watching it, it was pretty emotional.

Also I'm totally going to try crafting something to donate for next years prizes.

I watched a lot of Desert Bus. My productivity has gone downhill since last friday. Unfortunately I couldn't watch the ending because it ended at about 8am in my timezone and I had something really important to do, but it's still amazing how much money they've collected.
I don't really know how much I've donated. I donated some money at the beginning and I've participated in some of the challenges where you have to donate a certain amount of money and you can win something. I didn't win anything but that doesn't really bother me.
Sadly I could never participate in the auctions because the biddings always went very quickly, way over anything I could ever afford. On the other hand, the high biddings are better for the children but the some of the things that they auctioned off is really awesome and I would have loved to win something.

Well that was certainly a thing that happened. Judging by the reactions, I'm so glad I put the Iron Maiden and Hallelujah challenges in. Whale dong, LRR!

Desert Bus 5 was awesome! I won a Ken Steacy auction, and I think I donated somewhere in the area of $1000 all told. Fantastic! I can't wait to go back and scroll through the videos to see the challenges and auctions that I was asleep for. :D

I also wrote the Twelve Days of Desert Bus and got them all to sing that. That was awesome!

Aaand if SOPA passes they could all be felons. Sigh.

I am so glad that they do this though. I spent 45 minutes today explaining to someone how awesome desert bus for hope is.

I've been running on 2-3 hours sleep since it began. Loved every minute of it (started watching around the 40k mark). Really looking forward to next years Desert Bus. Really looking forward to getting some sleep as well though.

EDIT: that is to say 2-3 hours a night, I'm devoted not insane.

Great for them.
I personally didn't tune in, I don't know why but I like their videos...but when it comes to their live stuff for some reason they really annoy me.
I donated around $50 this year (slider to Child's Play) so I don't feel that bad.
Once again grats to the LRR crew.

I did again just now while I was explaining that very part to my housemate. The whole thing just gets to me, how this bunch of mildly internet-famous geeks can possibly be such a force, not just for charity but for plain old good and right.

In my opinion, this is more significant than Children in Need is, and that has the backing of the entire UK raising 10's of millions every year.

I'm amazed by how much they raise. Sure donations like the $10,000 Notch gave for that sheet of Magic cards was amazing, but it's mainly from small donations of $5, $10, $20. I donated about £20, and couldn't afford to participate in the auctions (the Doctor Who scarf I had my eye on went for over $4000).

They must have has a massive donation as I missed the end since I fell asleep at about 4AM, and it was just coming up to $325,000.

Once again, amazing drive! Had so much fun with the crew this year, that it will take some time to get over the fact that it´s actually over...*sniff* over.

Anyway, a big thank to you everyone involved in making DB5 truly a thing that happened. Well dong!

Does any one have a recording of Graham reading the letter from Daniel? I missed it :(
Same here. Three Desert Buses and all the finales missed, because my internet connection decided to crap out at the very end. It's like there's some kind of curse, that prevents me from having a proper closure, hovering over me. Ridiculous.
