Ha, I can relate to that. I bought a bunch of stuff in the steam holiday sale but... well, I just don't feel like playing them anymore.Vault101 said:4chan made this???

Not in the slightest my good man, more opinions are always welcome. Just gives us that many more chances to convert the doubting masses. Thanks for the comments, too!Safe in the Dark said:Oh, that reminds me, I made a review back when the demo first came out, and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind me reviewing the full game.
Oh man, is it ever. I'm looking forward to huge amounts of new content now that the game's out in full; I think my favourite has to be Rin photoshopped onto the cover of Douglas Adams' 5th book in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: "Mostly 'Armless."Safe in the Dark said:I really do love the KS fanbase, the Shimmie's a great place.
Well, having not played Katawa Shoujo I'm hardly one to be able to accurately be able to gauge what you're after too precisely.Crayzor said:...
All in all, this VN has inspired me to give others a go, and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Oh god, I got one of the many Rin bad ends the first time through. That one fucking line, man.JemothSkarii said:"I've got no arms to hug with, that makes me bad....I'll find a way to be able to hug people, will you forget about me? I'm good at forgetting *disappears*"

Success! I await your thoughts, it's always great to hear from a first-timer.Apollo45 said:Well, your review convinced me. Giving it a download and we'll see how it goes. Make note that this is my first game of its type, and I'll be dropping back in to update how I feel about it once I've started playing. Hopefully it's similar to how your review described it.
Just finished Emi's route. Ended up following it quite on accident - I was shooting for Hanako, but being a newbie I must've missed something. However, I'm going to go for it again, since I think I know what I missed. That might be about as telling as anything else I can say. I don't know that I've played enough to give an accurate assessment of the genre, but the game itself is fuzzy and quite heartwarming, like petting a kitten if you don't mind me stealing your description. About as close to reading a good romance novel as I'll probably ever come, and I'm happy with that. I noticed by the end that, except for when they were directly mentioned, I had completely stopped noticing Emi's specific disability. It helps that they usually only show the top half of her body, but I was getting to the same level with the others as well.Deskimus Prime said:Success! That's what I found so great about it; really hits home that the people are much more than any physical or mental traits they might have. "Having no legs" is nowhere near as interesting as Emi herself. Though to be honest, her disability is fairly easy to work around - compared to say, Rin who can't even put a shirt on unassisted, so her route focuses a little less than, say, Hanako or Rin whose disabilities are very difficult to sweep under the rug.Apollo45 said:I noticed by the end that, except for when they were directly mentioned, I had completely stopped noticing Emi's specific disability.
