What are you talking about? There is no game called "Deus Ex: Invisible War".

I've already got all three games, but I am excited for people who have not had the experience of playing the first Deus Ex, which is the forefather of many Action RPG games (and yet, the children still can't get it right.)

Instant buy. I have DE:HR on Steam, so I'm gonna gift that one to a friend. I have the other two games as well, just not on Steam. But for that price I must own them on Steam.

Picked up the first Deus Ex in this sale, seeing as I've never played it. Refrained from Invisible War because I've heard it's crap in a basket, and also I've got a ton of games I'm trying to work through and getting even more is probably a bad move.

I would get Human Revolution but I fear it wouldn't work on my laptop :( Shame.

If you're not sure you can check: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx

Besides, you'll probably get a better laptop or even a PC one day. It would be a shame to skip on this deal now because of something so relative as current laptop. Think about the future.

I caved about 5 seconds after reading this. I have so much restraint, never mind my lack of money and laptop :p

Didn't bother with the special edition though. An extra 3 quid for a soundtrack and then some extra gubbins didn't seem worth it, but a fiver for a game normally priced at £20 was probably a rather good buy. One day I might even get to play it :p

Also, that "Can You Run It?" site's useless, in my experience. Told me my laptop couldn't run Portal 2, Oblivion or even Team Fortress 2, so either my laptop's the cyber God-Emperor, defying all limitations placed before it, or that site is pants.

Good to know that my CASIE (Computer Assisted Social Interaction Enhancer) augmentation is working as intended.

You made a mistake about the soundtrack. DE:HR has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. And a lot of people think the same. But you can listen to it on YouTube I guess.

Did you get any DLC for it? DLC for this game is awesome. Some very good weapons, a fun single player mission and Missing Link which is essentially a 5 hour long expansion and it is outstanding. It's cheap as a Mexican prostitute. Practically a steal.

Personally, I believe I will be picking up this fantastic offer as I've been waiting for an offer like this to appear on Steam.

First there was the Magicka Collection for £4.99 a couple of weeks ago, and now there is this. Thank you Steam!

All that for twenty bucks? Damn. I don't have twenty, but I should have enough to grab one of them.

I'm sure the soundtrack is good, but I don't think it justified the extra 3 quid for the Augmented Edition. I mean, as far as a special edition goes, the extras are fair enough, I guess - an artbook (presumably digital), a making-of video, a comic, the E3 trailer and storyboard for it and the soundtrack - but out of all that all I'd honestly care for is the soundtrack and I can, as you said, listen to it on YouTube or I'm sure it's for sale somewhere if I desperately want it. Personally, I'm more interested in getting the game.

I didn't pick up the DLC though, I must admit. Because I ended up buying two games out of the pack separately, it'd now be too expensive for me to pick up either the full bundle or just the DLC as a package - as in, I literally can't afford it and still pay rent, licenses and get food, otherwise I probably would've. At any rate, the DLC's still pretty cheap, so if I enjoy Human Revolution I might pick it up one day, but today is not that day.

I picked up The Missing Link as I've already got Deus Ex, Invisible War, and Human Revolution. I thought about the one with the Tong mission, but as far as I'm aware it's unbalanced pre-order junk so I didn't bother.

Thank you so much!

EDIT: Also, does Invisible War tie in with the other games at all?
Because I heard it's crap and don't want to play it, but if it ties in I might...
Invisible War kind of follows on from Deus Ex, and it really isn't half as bad as people make out. It's not as good as the original, and it doesn't really feel like you're in all the exotic places it says you are. But it's still a decent game!

Deus Ex: Invisible War continues the story from where the first game left off, but it really doesn't feel very strongly connected to the first game until the last act. Throughout the game you occasionally meet up with a person or faction from the first game, but they often behave so completely different from how they did in the first game that they may as well have just been new characters. It honestly felt like the majority of the returning characters were there for a misguided attempt at fan-service and little else.

If they had just called the game "Invisible War" and removed all references to Deus Ex, it probably would have been an alright B-list title, since it mostly fails to live up to the quality of the first game. Setting aside story/characters and just looking at gameplay mechanics it's one of, in my opinion, the best examples of a game that was "dumbed down" for consoles. The fact that the majority of the mechanics are incredibly simplified (or outright removed) combined with the incredibly small and fairly barren maps makes it so that it doesn't even feel like a Deus Ex game.

If it's cheap (like it is right now) it might be worth a single playthrough for curiosity's sake... but I wouldn't go out of my way to get a copy of it.

Yes, yes, yes! Both Deus Ex games for £9.99? No-brainer. I will certainly purchase it.

I am pretty stoked for the upcoming Steam summer sales. While I already have these games, I am absolutely floored by the $15 price tag for all three games and three DLCs for HR.

Already own both Deus Ex games *twitch* and that other game. A liitle word of warning "that other game" tends not to play nice with multi core processors which messes up the loading screens quite badly. Apart from that if haven't played Deus Ex, buy this collection now. Aso check out The Nameless Mod for a slightly different playthrough.

Well, you had me at prostitute.

Already have DXHR, though... Oh, and DX:GOTY.

Guess it's the Missing Link for me then.

I have been eyeing that bundle pack special all week buuut.... well one problem you see. I'm not sure if my 2010 computer can run Deus Ex(The Conspiracy). I mean heck at one point this thing told me it didn't have enough room for Half Life, mind you I did have Fable The Lost Chapters loaded on at the time. (unloaded now) but still I don't want to spend the money only to find I can't play it and I haven't a sightless clue how to check because...well I'll let you fill in the blank.
