After the disaster that was my first encounter with the game ( Protip: If you don't chose stealth aug , you are dead on max difficulty . No , I don't care if you are Jesus , without stealth you're done) .

Now that I started again I finished everything twice as fast and I'm atm 1 quest hub and half in ( the china town ) with no kills . Also I now get what people were saying with extra ammunition . What I'm trying to say is ...if you want the achievement invest in Max stealth , then in max battery regen then I would go for force or reflexes . Screw hacking till you get those .
...? Deus Ex difficulty isn't hard at all. o_O I just beat a 'Give Me Deus Ex' difficulty playthrough where I only used lethal takedowns, 10mm pistol, and EMP grenades. No augments at all. Also, I killed EVERYONE I saw. That includes everyone in the police station. Just to see if it was possible.

Protip: Get the armor piercing and laser sight mods for the 10mm. Then aim for their heads.
Never stated it was hard if you knew what you were doing , problem is I didn't really in my first play . In my first game I invested heavily in hacking as I thought I would have lots of robots and stuff at start to control . Also , I thought Jensen would be more powerful when in combat . If you go Rambo-style on highest difficulty , you will see what I mean.

Anyway , with stealth its stupidly easy as sometimes you can just pass an entire corridor of enemies .

Also, the lethal takedowns are much cooler than the non-lethal ones. Fuck you Eidos for not making them silent!
I didn't like that either . Stealthing my way to a guard , doing a "silent" takedown which seems to mean making as much noise as possible and making your target scream in agony . Funny thing is his pal , which was like 5 meters from him , didn't notice a thing and was just waiting for his turn . I always imagined the silent takedowns would involve chloroform or something , not beating the crap out of them .

Finished the game without kills or alerts on the hardest setting, first playthrough. It was grand.

Also, turns out that the stun gun instakills Yelena, if she gives you trouble. It may work on the other two commandos, but I'm not sure.
No, it does not instant-kill, i used the stun gun on all bosses, but that boss does get affected the most by it. The stungun just does what it says, it stuns them for a bit, the third boss barely is affected by it though, giving you little time to switch guns after you stun him.

What weapons do you guys use. I'm going through my second playthrough going pacifist on the hardest setting, while also getting Doctorate using the same as my first playthrough, Tranq gun, Stungun, and an extremely upgraded pistol. I already failed "Foxiest of the hounds" because of a turret i couldnt move to get an E-book.

Does anyone know if Destroying Robot's with your EMP grenade or crazy people running into NPC mines count as a kill?

Funny how easy this boss is, mainly because of all the augmentations you have by then. Just need a few EMP grenades, Master Hacking, and electricity invulnrability and you're set.
Huh. Must've been a fluke; I zapped her once and she keeled over.

But no, robots don't count as kills, even if you use the bazooka. The psychos, however, do.

I'm going for a Pacifist run for the moment. After I'm done with it I'll play on the hardest difficulty and play the way I feel.

Granted it will probably largely still be stealth-and-non-lethal but anyway.

Does anyone have advice on killing the second Boss? I'm kitted out as a stealth guy, and it's fucking ridiculous. Help would be much appreciated.

Im on my second playthrough, and im almost all the way through without killing people.

First time, i played as an assassin type character, sniping people from afar, and biding my time in-between kills. I think the only time i actually took damage was in boss fights.

I know the psychos count as kills, but what i meant is, i blew one mine up with my pistol and hid, i the saw on my radar a psycho check the noise out and then kill himself with another mine. I didn't set these mines, they were programmed to be set there. What i want to know is, does the kill count towards me if a psycho kills himself with a map spawned mine.

Nope. Enemy death by stupid doesn't affect you, to the best of my knowledge. This includes scaring them so that they hurl themselves off cliffs.

I was dead set on a no-kill run, but then I found out that when I punch through walls to take people down that it kills them, and since I'd been doing them since the beginning of the game it was too late to reset.

My next run will be a bloodless one, though.

Just rescued the hostages from the plant without killing anyone. I intend to play the entire game without killing anyone--save the bosses. I will get that trophy.

Now, on the hard setting, I'm still going to attempt to avoid killing, but I will have no problem dropping people if it gets heated. What I'm worried about is getting all the different endings--betting I won't be able to get some because they'll require me to do things I don't want to do--and completing the entire game without setting off any alarms. It's MGS4 all over again. Sigh...
You don't have to worry about that....... They don't do that to you. As one guy pointed out, I got my acheivement for finishing/not killing then the acheivement for all the endings 7 minutes later. The choice that determines your ending happens late, I explain a lil bit more in the spoiler a few posts up if you're really curious.

You're safe, as long as you didn't lay the mine. I actually baited them into the mines to clear them for me XD. Not exactly in the pacifist spirit, I know.

If you can, upgrade your sprint. Blast her while she's charging to you to typhoon, then sprint away just before she does. If you can't upgrade your sprint you'll just have to run sooner. Then just avoid her while she's recharging. It's not the fastest way, but it worked pretty good for me.

I couldn't even try to do it, I'm mainly going for stealth but I couldn't go all stealth and keep reloading, because the loading times are too long. (Seriously, I've made coffees while waiting for the game to load!)

[/quote] Here is what i did:
I just ran around the outside of the area like i do with all bosses with my stun gun out, when i see her, i stun her, then quickly pull out my weapon and shoot here as much as i can before she comes back to her senses. You can easily kite her, just dont go keeping her in your sights all the time, run around the area a bit before you start attacking again. She is probably one of the easiest bosses actually.

They do their best to make you regret it near the end though.
I didn't get it, only because I killed guys at the very beginning pre augmentation.

I couldn't find the side quest for "Cloak and dagger" though.

Cloak and Daggers is early on before the first boss. Jenny Alexander is scantly dressed and standing by some 'Ladies of the Evening'.

I missed it on my first play through as well. I'm on the harder difficulty trying to do a no kill run now.
