What developer drives you up the wall, but you can't help loving them at the same time? It can be a publisher or anything game-related, really.
For me it used to be Treyarch, but I think the crown has been stolen by Bethesda. Most of their games are buggy messes from hell, but still very good. I just have to spend substantial amounts of time to get every other game to work properly.
However, the icing was put on the cake when I tried to play my Fallout 3 GOTY edition I purchased recently. I had attempted Fallout 3 twice before over the years, but eventually fell away for various real life reasons. But now I had the GOTY edition! And Windows 7 x64. Yeah, for those that don't know, trying to play Fallout 3 on Windows 7 x64 is like trying to play hopscotch and every 15 minutes some juiced out jersey shore wannabe runs by and karate kicks your nuts. Crashes and freezes left and right, a plethora of "solutions" that work for some and not for others(and none for me), and even Bethesda has said "Fuck that, you're on your own." After many hours trying to get it to work, I eventually gave in and quit. I'd have to find a different game to play.
And I found one! It's this neat little new one where you're stealthing around, very steampunky, really awesome game to play. It's called Dishonored. I hadn't really stayed up with the news, but I figured I'd give it a try and at 5 hours in I was very impressed, so I looked up who developed it. God damn it, Bethesda, either let me hate you or let me love you. I want off this emotional rollercoaster.
