Where did I say MMO? I said if its got subscriptions like an MMO, "or something". Obviously they arn't making an MMO or it would be advertised as one...Radeonx said:Why would blizzard turn diablo into another mmo, when they already have one with millions of subscribers? If they really wanted to give the diablo effect, they'd add new classes that mirror the diablo ones.D4zZ said:I want Diablo 3 as I couldn't get into 2 because I was being a graphics whore, Even though I was really wanting to get into it.
But if it turns into WoW im not going to be impressed, with like subscription multiplayer or something.

I assure you, it was very, very dark when I playedSkeleon said:I feel very meh about it.
It might still be good and addictive, but it seems to have lost most of its dark atmosphere.
It's too much like the comic-y Warcraft franchise now.

OT: I might buy it, but depending on the money I'll have when it comes out there will be an inner conflict between that and other games.
Oh, that's what you're talking about.iamq said:Best of both worlds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXSKpoNtoRYSkeleon said:What?iamq said:Isn't that from Hannah Montana?....eww.
And the fact they are absolutley nothing alike whatsoever, the only thing the two have in common is that they are both top down point and click nothing else Fallout was slow and intellegent based all around an original setting and clever solutions/humour. Diablo was nothing but atmosphere, and oh here is 20 enemies and a super overpowered lightning enchanced thing go slash now with no downtime to think.Gerazzi said:maybe not fallout 3...Vanguard_Ex said:It looks good but, no, sorry, there is no way in hell Fallout can ever be described as "Diablo with guns"
Oh, okay. Can't say I should've known since I've never seen that show before.Skeleon said:Oh, that's what you're talking about.iamq said:Best of both worlds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXSKpoNtoRYSkeleon said:What?iamq said:Isn't that from Hannah Montana?....eww.
Actually, I got that phrase from Star Trek TNG.
I can't find the link to this one particular MTV Multiplayer interview with the lead art director for Diablo 3. It had photoshopped "suggestions" (from the people who signed the Dark Petition, no less) for some of the screenshots of the demo, then said art director states every reason why the photoshop will not work in the actual game (reasons range from being impossible from a technical standpoint, to actually hindering gameplay). I did, however, find two articles that you might interest you: Link 1 [http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/07/31/diablo-iii-designer-talks-colors/] Link 2 [http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/07/02/diablo-iii-art-direction/].CantFaketheFunk said:I played it at BlizzCon.
Even the clearly unfinished pre-alpha build was more fun and engaging than most full release games I've played recently.
So yeah. I'm pretty excited about it coming out sometime in 2015.
Edit: They've said multiple times that it won't require any subscription to play D3 online.

It's too much like the comic-y Warcraft franchise now.The audio journals that you can find actually go a really long way to contributing to the mood. There's one you find that talks about King Leoric and the events of D1, and it was actually pretty chilling to listen to as you adventured through the Tristram ruins.
Because if you noticed the rest of the thread, I was referring to the first two installments.epicfailgamer said:How can a first person shooter/RPG Game be summed up to a third person RPG Game?Gerazzi said:How excited are you?
I'm kind of suspecting Blizzard to screw this one up somehow.
But here's a thing to say about it: none of the computers in my house can run it.
I've always been a fan of the Diablo series, and the Fallout series can be summed up as "Diablo with guns" only with more of a turn based feel...
What are your thoughts on Diablo III?
Yeah, Diablo is not like Fallout. They are in isometric perspective. That's where a lot of similarities end. You're going to be disappointed if that's what you're going for.Vanguard_Ex said:Actually looking at some screens of the previous Fallout games I think you may be right. You are aware that Fallout 3 derives it's title from the fact that it is a sequel, right?epicfailgamer said:How can a first person shooter/RPG Game be summed up to a third person RPG Game?Gerazzi said:How excited are you?

I was staying more towards the artwork of the game, both are rather depressing, gray, but still oddly likeable.elitecrewer said:Fallout is Diablo with guns? Have you played either series?
The Diablo games are seminal, there's no way Blizzard will disappoint, ever.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. Also
He wasn't talking about the title, rather how a FPS RPG can be matched to a 3rd person RPG. I think he was unaware that Fallout 1+2 weren't FPSs like number 3 though.Knonsense said:You are aware that Fallout 3 derives it's title from the fact that it is a sequel, right?
