This is something that has just started now right this second, but is something that has occured to me for a number of years. In fact, I think I remember the first time it happened when I was maybe 6 or 7.

This may be a little difficult to understand so bare with me. Essensially, every now and again (usually once every few months or so) my senses go sort of...heywire for about and hour or 2. Let me break it down a little.

1. Everything seems bigger and rounder. I can physically see that something is the same size, but at the same time everything seems a little...bigger. My fingers are like...little pounds of meat...This doesn't stop getting any weirder.

2. Everything becomes a little faster. Right now I'm typing this at my usual crawling pace but I look like the fucking Flash to me. This becomes faster and faster and gets worst and worst. It's very disoriantating.

3. I start getting a ringing in my ears. It starts out quiet but about the time I typed out the second pargraph I couldn't hear myself type from it. It becomes louder and louder and until finally it stops, along with the other symptons.

So...Anyone got any ideas? I'm guessing it's not life threatening otherwise I'd be dead now, bu frankly...it's frieghtening, and something I should have asked about awhile ago, even if my parents would have probably been better. Anyone know what's going on, or am I just going mad?

At the time I finished this the whole thing has stopped, so you can see how quickly it comes and goes.

Er, once a year is how often your pot dealer comes around?
I know, it sounds like drugs doesn't it? That's actually one of the closes feelings I get to it, except with less giggerling.

Hmmm... Unless you are consuming some odd substances just before this happens, I think you might be developing schizophrenia. Now keep in mind that I'm not joking when I type this: If you hear voices telling you to do things, don't listen to them and seek a psychologist's help immediately.

Maybe you get random adrenaline rushes for some reason?

I honestly can't say I know what's happening. Perhaps it's a neurological problem.

Mental instability.

But seriously, I have no clue, I'm just posting to be a dick, sorry.

My advice would be to get it checked out with some medical personel if you're concerned.

In all seriousness though, you should get it checked out.

You could be experiencing fairly common hallucinations. Most people hallucinate several times a day without even realising it. They hear sounds, feel like their body is increasing weight or size, experience time lapses. Mostly it's barely noticeable, but it happens to everyone and for some people it will be correspondingly more intense.

I would assume nothing is actually physically happening to you, but also that you might want to get an eye check, or just speak to a doctor, because the ringing could also be tinnitus (a nasty condition that only gets worse). You could need glasses as well (I remember before I was told I needed glasses proprtions seemed to be weird to me, and time had a habit of seeming to slow down when I tried to focus on things like typing)

Yeah, seriously, I'm like 21 years old and I don't have a medical degree. Why don't you go ask the people who DO have those degrees, or at least a Nursing degree, instead of posting it to a forum? I mean, I know insurance can be really poor (mine is) but I at least have an aunt who's a nurse... go ask the school nurse or something if you really can't afford a doctor.

1. Don't eat so much salt.
2. Rapid/Racing thought
3. High blood pressure.

Don't be so fat, see a doctor.

Seriously, go get a freakin' examination by a professional. Don't come to the internet.

Think about it a little.

I tend to get all three of the things you described when I'm really tired. Usually comes with a headache.

Don't really think it's anything special.
