Every now and again it feels and looks like everything is shaking, sometimes only slightly, sometimes it's quite... Violent, I guess? Only once has this made me hold on to something for balance, it happened for about 10-15 seconds and it scared the hell out of me.

Usually everything starts to shake and it passes after 5-10 seconds and doesn't get too bad. But I have no idea what the hell it could be.

Also, sometimes I can see things in the "air", like little particles, I don't know whether I can actually see them, or whether its just my eyes being fucked up. I have, I believe, excellent vision and nothing is blurred to me. (I can also see the heat coming from radiators, is that normal?)

Could it be an inner ear problem? Or does it generally happen when you haven't been getting your regular amount of sleep? I would recommend seeing a doctor no matter what, however.

Dammit people we need new ideas. Cameron, go check the history. Foreman, go recheck the blood-slides for ragged red fiber. Chase, continue to be a massive tool.

It's Lupus.

Low blood pressure sounds more like it, I have low blood pressure and I get all these symptoms when I commit certain actions. Maybe you should eat More salt?

Weird thread. Can't help, sorry. However...

All of those things (except the heat coming from radiators) can happen when not enough blood is getting to your brain. Did the "shaking" episode happen just after you stood up, after a long period sitting down? If so then worry not - you nearly fainted, that's all. If it happens a lot then you may have a blood pressure problem, in which case see a doctor.

P.S.
I am not remotely medically qualified and could be talking out of my arse.

Ok, now the quote button isn't working, but I don't think that's a sympton.

Also, I hope the poster above is joking with Lupus. I just looked that up...damn, it sounds nasty.

Don't be ridiculous, it's never lupus.

It seems like it could be neurological in origin. Depth perception is obviously effected.... If I were you, I would see a real doctor, as an internet forum for gamers is far from a general practitioner's office.

But I can at least say it's not lupus.

First, welcome to the Escapist. What a strange thread to start with.

Also I know that a gaming forum is probably the wrong place to ask, but this is also a place where I know I can get a response quickly, plus people here generally arn't dickheads and will give reasonable answers...well, mostly.

I kind wanted to see whether there was someone else who had experienced it too, just incase it's something common that I just don't recognise. I'll probably see a doctor about it sometime this week, I've put it off for years but this is the first time I figured it could be dangerous rather than just a bit weird.

1. Everything seems bigger and rounder. I can physically see that something is the same size, but at the same time everything seems a little...bigger. My fingers are like...little pounds of meat...This doesn't stop getting any weirder.
I experience something like this too, every once in a while. Usually some objects seem really distant, or really close up. People's heads go far into the distance when the effect kicks in. It's really weird. During these things I find it hard to concentrate, and the whole world just seems a bit unreal.. I haven't had them in a long while, but I had a lot of them when I was younger. I remember them being scary as a kid. Later on they became just annoying.

Ahh. I used to get that as a kid till I was about 12. Always used to happen when I was trying to get to sleep. Fucking scary I know.

Can't suggest a solution tho, sorry. Mine just stopped, although if I think about it I get a sensation of it... weird.

You might be on to something actually. If I think about it, it usually happens when I'm tired or about to go to sleep.

I know, it sounds like drugs doesn't it? That's actually one of the closes feelings I get to it, except with less giggerling.

Alice in Wonderland Syndrome. I have it too, to the point at which I can't look at the sky or I start to freak out.
