Run up a wall in [Prototype] and listen to the reactions from the bystanders.

However, this takes the cake:
Damn ninjas...

Oh well, I've got another.

There is no way this was not meant to be misinterpreted.

in army of two the last boss has the strangest taunts. my personal fav is

"I'm gonna drain out all your blood, stuff you with tinsle, put a bunch of elves and raindear around you, sit on your lap and tell you all the neat shit i want for christmas"

I had to pause the game for a few after hearing that one.

I haven't really had a moment where the dialogue made me want to stop playing, but the laughing scene in Final Fantasy X brought me to tears with how hard I laughed.

Some of the worst I've experienced first hand was in Heavy Rain, particularly at the start.
"Am I grown up now?" - Jason
"Continue" - Shaun
"JAY-SUUHN" - Ethan
Anyone who's played knows what I mean.

I was gonna say this. I can't remember who it was, but an Escapist (accurately) described it as "ear rape the game".

I can't think of a good dialogue in a warhammer game I remember playing Chaos Gate and the chaos space marines would scream out I DIE!

"I, Garland, will knock you all down!"
That aside, Baten Katios' voice acting was so horrendously bad even some of the most serious scenes ended up falling flat on its face.
It's awesome despite that, but oh lord.

Go to YouTube *Shudders*(Cookie for maybe obscure reference), and watch a full playthrough of The House of the Dead 2. One that doesn't skip the cutscenes. I think it speaks for itself.

If not, Why not? :
"DISTURBIN THE LUYEF SICLE!"

EDIT:
Found a vid!
People of The Escapist, prepare to bleed from your ears!

Troika were amazing at writing believable dialogue, as were Black Isle and Obsidian nowadays.

However all are/were terrible at gameplay and bug testing. Wonder if it's some sort of curse: "You can either be a good writer, or a good game designer, you can't have both. Choose wisely!"
1 word bioware. awesome gameplay and story through the games i have played (although this may discredit me i absolutly love jade empire and prefer bioshock to system shock 2 system shock just has to much resource management for me) playing dragon age origins right now.
as for horrible translation or voice acting or whatever i'd have to say final fantasy x almost beat that game and boy did i hate the voices was only able to play it by putting my brain on cruise control like i do when i'm in class (marks are in the high 60s to 80s and i spend all my classtime reading books until sheetwork is passed out) what was i talking about again?

Recently? Just Cause 2... was just painful. It sounded like they got a Singaporean to deliver the lines, which is never a good thing.

Overall, I think Resident Evil's "Master of lockpicking" takes it.

"Wow, I didn't see that coming at all!"

Resident Evil 1: You where almost a jill sandwich! - classic line
awww jibble sandwich was going to be mine.
But thinking back all resident evil lines of dialogue are fails in some way.
But it kinda makes the game to me. I want corny acting and a lack of feeling in my computer game actors. It makes the experience alot more fun.

Possible. I'm a fair hand at writing but I can't do a thing with any kind of code.
Seems to be a trend.

And that explains the entirety of Gears of War.

COLE TRAIN anyone?
To be fair, it's not like anyone (sane) actually played Gears of War for the plot.
Th-Th...There was a plot in Gears? I thought it was just a bunch of testosterone-laced, steroid-abusing military rejects in a competition to see who can kill more aliens.
