I HATED Bastila! Only Bioware character I actually hate, but I hated her. Might be because I am a female jedi and there is nothing likeable about her if you are a female jedi, trust me!
I also disliked Bastila intensely. Self-righteous cow. And I don't like the fantasy version either (Aribeth).
Really?

I always thought breaking Bastila and making her love you was just a complete and total win.
..plus a big-ass fuck you to that damned godforsaken council <.<

I love me a bit of Miranda but unfortunately as my Sheppard is a bird I can't chat her up. So that just leaves me with Kelly.
I prefer Kelly anyway. I haven't played ME2 yet, but when I do I'm going for Kelly either way, whether I choose to play as a guy or as a girl. Miranda just doesn't cut it for me...

I did, and found her side quest really interesting.

Like someone else said, I find it hard to dislike characters they've written - sure I prefer some, but there's never really a blind hatred.

Except for Tali in the first game.

SO. FUCKING. BORING.

[small] I'm aware most people will burn me at the stake for that.[/small]

She wasn't my favourite personality of all the party members, but she was very helpful in combat and she wasn't intolerable so overall, I like her.

She was alright. She had the most, shall we say, "interesting" costume but Tali is far more likable.

I liked all the characters. The mos memorable new one is Jack, imo. But my all-time favorite is still either Garrus or Wrex.
Same.

I liked Miranda, unlike Ashley once you softened her up she doesn't continue acting like a snooty *****...>>

I mean with Ashley I thought she would soften up a bit in the first game but she continued acting like a thick Jarhead even in the final moments, with Miranda you really get the sense she's just as lonely as Jack is....and instead of coming across as angsty she just came across as being a snob.

And that's why I tapped it.

With Tali I was worried Bioware might pull this thing in ME3 where she dies from an STD I end up giving her, and as for Jack, well I'm just getting tired of angsty characters in general.

I have to say Mordin is the stand out character this time around. His skills are kind of blah for me but his inability to shut up is hilarious. Plus his loyalty mission was a knock you on your ass kind of thing. There was such a shade of grey about him and what he had done that I really loved. Miranda is there for the hotness and is a gigantic missed opportunity. Jacob had a much more intriguing back story. I think the thing to do with Miranda to make her much more relate-able is to have her in a confrontation with her father. More the better if you learn that her father is the man pulling the strings of Udina and shielding Cerberus from more scrutiny at the behest of the Illusive Man. It would make her character much more compelling and center stage. That way you could have ended with more acknowledged support of the Council or with Anderson being shown a manipulative underling who has been undermining his work.

I still don't get it - why they didn't go to the captain's quarters? I guess they like putting up a show.

That's a part of her charm.
oh that's completely part of the charm. Outwardly, she's supposed to be the prim and proper superwoman, but she'll only show shep that she's got insecurities about everything being handed to her. and that she didnt' really earn anything. Personally, I thought it was perfect that she'd be the nasty one to play with. you'd think it'd be Jack, but apparently not.

I liked Miranda but she was nowhere near my favourite character.

Of the new crew probably Samara was my favourite. I also liked grunt because he looked cool with the ridges on his head compared to other krogan.

My favourite is Tali though over both games just like her character and the Quarian race got a good back story.

Kelly is definitely a lot easier to get. He's a bit loose. lol. I just love Miranda due to the fact she's basically Yvonne Strahovski. And anyone that watches Chuck knows how awesome she is.

I love every member of the ship in ME2.

However, none of them can hold a candle to Engineer Donnelly.

I romanced her in my 1st playthrough with my Imported Paragon Urah(Ooh-rah!) Shepard. I still think she's a bit iffy.

I liked her, I liked all of the party members. That seems to happen to me in all Bioware games, I can never seem to bring myself to hate any character they've written.

Despite the fact that I don't hate her, Miranda can't compare to the awesomness of Mordin.
while i can't say i hated any of the characters, i found a few of them to be vastly underdeveloped ... for example: Thane Krios' personal quest was just plain bad, despite his character being introduced so well. this made me like his character less than some of the others. Zaeed was another forgettable addition.

Yeah, Zaeed isn't really that special...Can't believe they used him as DLC.

It was hard to get to like her, but once you "Defrosted the Ice Queen" so to speak, she becomes a likable character.
Also...DAT ASS.

While she did get a bit nicer after the rather appropriate "defroasting" phase. She didn't have the depth of character that I would have liked. Now Tali, whoa... theres a love interest. Mysterious and powerful, yet nieve and... well... hot sounding.

Like a mix between the demon nuns of the Jack Black game that was mediocre and Hinata from Naruto!
