It is cute that you blame Bush for the economy. For the most part he was trying to fix a lot of the things the earlier Clinton government did like loan out massive amounts of money to make those companies go down in the first place. Was Bush perfect? Of course not, we don't know whether he could have prevented it or not... And Obama doing the same thing (push huge amounts of money back into the economy) just proves that lefties shouldn't disagree with the way Bush handled it. It is almost like blaming protestants for the Crusades (and if you don't understand that example then you shouldn't be here anyway).Instant K4rma said:Nice of Bush... I avoided most of rumors such as cocaine use and only went for things from fairly reputable sources including some of the people directly affected. I did specify most of these were not entirely or even mostly his fault. I blame everyone involved in these things but he had the power to say no to most of these and he didn't. Whether he actively promoted torture or just allowed it is irrelevant. He surrounded himself with crooked allies and did nothing when they started screwing the world over.dnnydllr said:Half of the things you said were rumors spread by Bush-hate groups. The other half were mostly untrue....for christ's sake just because he was president whenever 9/11 happened did not make it his fault, and more or less the entire government approved the war...you guys really need to get your facts straight...Pseudonym2 said:There was a topic back in December called Why does everyone hate George Bush Jr? Sure, plenty of people are against him on policy, but I can't think of that many things he objectivly did wrong.
And it isn't like this is a monarchy, the president has way less power than people tend to think.hese are the first things off the top of my head. Sorry I don't have enough time to go look up all the sources. Sorry for any typos. Yes, I hated him when he was still governor. Note these are not exclusive to Bush or even Republicans alone. Also this ignores deeper problems of hegemony but that would take entire books to explain.
9-11 (whether he caused it or just screwed up is irrelevant)

The funds from those wars weren't spent on education or infrastructure, like say, levees.

We lost two skyscrapers and a major city on his watch. Something that nobody saw coming, unless the Dems have gotten omniscient again...
The economy nearly collapsed due to unregulated financial shenanigans. Due mainly to the stupidity of your average, greedy investor
A significant portion of the country was acting like they thought DISAGREEING with The President was _treason_. This is his fault? Seems more like our oversight...
Same portion acts like they think the other major political sect HATE this country, not just disagrees about how it should be run.
Creationism made a comeback. PFFFFFT. Don't make me laugh, they just got more vocal. They're on the way out.
