yes! Amnesia the Dark Descent scared the hell outta me, also in ME2 there was this one asari who lost her family and was sort of taking it out on everyone, and i felt sorry for her. also silent hill 2 made me feel all sorts of emotions, most of them fear.

Deadly Premonition's finale scene gave me a weird mixture of repulsion, grief and anger, and the ending was one of the saddest I've seen in a long time.

The only time I felt sad over a game, was the end scene of Half life 2: Episode 2.
FUCK YOU, ADVISORS!

EDIT: The way the game slowly fades to end credits, with only the sound Alyx's crying in the background was amazing.

Lost odyssey the scene where Kaim meets his grand children and the daughter dies leaving the children in Kaim care.

I physically was on the verge of crying like a baby.

Wouldnt play them if they didnt.

That general "oh crap" moment when you see the boss.
The airpunching feeling of triumph when you beat a game.
Getting attached to various characters, especially when they then die.
The feeling of awe when you see amazing panoramas.

When I first turn on a game I have the emotion of anticipation. So yes. All of them.

This is kind of a stupid question.

Hmmm, as odd as it may sound, I felt a bit of a heart string tug in inFamous when you have to choose between Trish and the other victims (I think they were doctors or some such).

I often feel giddy joy during shooters that play well, but that is more a function of me blowing off steam by playing them I think.

Often enough I have felt anger or sadness concerning MMOs, but those are usually caused by other players rather than the game itself.

Oh oh, I guess Final Fantasy X counts. I cried lots of tears when I found out about Tidus being a dream of the fayth. Despite the horrific voice acting in many parts, I was pretty attached to the characters in FFX, and no... the events of FFX-2, the 100% ending, did not make up for the sad end of X. As far as I am concerned, X-2 did not happen.

Recently , Bastion stirred some real emotion in me. Won't spoil it, but my Squirt and Pecker will be avenged!

Far Cry 2 really drew me in when it came down to either defending your friends or the local church. It was an intense moment for me in an otherwise mediocre game.

Fianlly, KOTOR. I still remember all their backstories. Then I remember I sold my copy and die a bit.

Tense moments: Horror games, STALKER, Dead Space 2.

STALKER: Call Of Pripyat, seriously that was scary, invisible monsters and trapped in a crack with only small openings to escape.

Sad: Portal 2 turret opra, that was very sad.
RDR, well all know what I mean right?
Saints Row 2 , for a game thats about sillyness it can pack a punch sometimes.
Shadow of the Collosus, all of it was sad.
Infamous 2 "good" ending, that made me cry while thinking.

"Awesome" moments:
Mass Effect 1/2 ending, hell yeah!
Saints Row 2 ending, so much power!

I love all these games!

What is this "emotion" word you speak of?

And not really when I think of it. Oblivion made me feel a sense of awe when I first played it, because it was one of the most technically advanced games I had played since Grand Theft Auto.

Ummm, that's it. Obviously I cared a little in the Mass Effect games, but the pacing was to slow for my taste which ended up killing a lot of my empathy for the characters.

I liked the ending for Half Life 2... and the ending for CoD 4 kinda got to me also. It was extremely bad ass and I had never seen a game pull off a cinematic angle to gameplay like that had. Plus, I kinda liked a few of the characters in CoD 4, and they all thought they were all safe and actually showed emotion other than military gruffness at the end.

It was nice.

The way that Gordon just stands there makes it seem like Gordon truly is emotionally detatched from everything, it's quite eery.

For me, Carlos' death in Saints Row 2 will always make me feel upset.

In Fallout 3 during Point Lookout I got really pissed when

you are drugged and have an operation where part of your brain is removed, when I found out it had happened, and who had done it, I can't really describe how angry I was. I mean I know it's not real or anything, but still... I mean... It's just so wrong...

In Mass Effect 2, I messed up my team deployment on the final mission and Tali died. I actually shouted "NO!" at the TV and got sad :(

Of course. I sometimes get emotional over books and movies, so why not games? I nearly teared up when Garrus got carried away by the Collector Swarm at the end of Mass Effect 2...
