... besides, not to be rude, but it seems rude your mom would go through her wallet.
Generally speaking when you find a wallet somewhere random, if you cant turn it into someone of authority where you found it, go through it and see if there is anything with their contact information on it so you can return it.

At the very least it will likely have a government issued ID in it with an address where you can mail the wallet to.

Edit: Another one is bank cards, not a lot of people know this but (At least at my bank) if you find a wallet with the bank card, you can take the wallet to a bank branch which supplied it, they can look up the account and contact the owner that they have the wallet.

Edit2: Spelling
thats all fine and good sure, I understand that, but you shouldnt be taking in information from something like that, and certainly not posting pcitures on the internet about it. just feels like an invasion of privacy. I wouldnt want someone posting pictures of my receipts online, even if they're just from k-mart and gamestop.

Krakow airport is on the A4 motorway not far from Mystowice, so its most likely that the person was a few minutes away from the airport. As to the 2:30 for a flight time, I flew from London in about 2:30 so Brussels should be should be shorter.
I checked the address and the closest airport was Krakaw, the flight was 2:30 hours I checked the website...

That's beside the point, the question is how she got here so quick, not what she was doing here...

EDIT: typo
Sorry what I meant was could she be actually living there?
I'm having trouble reading the receipt so I'm probably missing something here.

Also I dunno if anyone said it but well done for returning the wallet!

After several years of working retail this is the most likely truth, atomic clocks they are not.

Living...where? And how would that affect her travel time in any way. The receipt is in Polish from 30th of May 2013, 08:17. It's plausible to assume she's from Poland. She could also have a Polish name but I wouldn't know. Or she could be from Belgium but had gone to Poland before coming back. At any rate, I don't see how either of these would be relevant. Also, when OP says she's Polish, it's probably because she is, not just guessing - it's plausible to assume the girl's Fb page would state it or that she mentioned when the wallet was returned or that the wallet contained a Polish ID, etc.

Wow, that is pretty odd.

Maybe a bird picked it up? :D How awesome would that be?

Okay it wouldn't be awesome for the lady who had her wallet pinched by poultry.

I'm going to have to go with aliens on this one, or you know, maybe the wallet was stolen by a fleeing thief. I'd quite like to know now, let us know will you?

Same here. Instead, I came up with a shorter nickname for them: com-woms.

Now I'm trying to formulate a sentence with "com-wom", "om nom" and a few other words to make a slightly more hilarious scenario.

OT: Anything can happen. From faulty equipment on the receipt machine's part to perfect travel conditions aligning, almost everything that appears unexplainable can be explained in some fashion or another; and if not, then we simply lack the capacity to understand it at present.

UPDATE: I brought the wallet to the police station, I told the cop at the desk the story he was like wtf xD.
Anyway the cop went through it on the desk in front of me so I stayed out of curiosity :p.
Apparently she's a Polish student, he found a student card and such. Weird part is the girl had
4 legit visa cards... I don't know about Poland but when here in Belgium to get one you need a credit
check. So maybe she's ultra rich...

SO she could have taken a private jet! And like a private driver or something could have picked her up at the airport.
Which could possibly solve all this

Also some extra info for the guys who didn't understand the time constraint.

I checked Krakow airport, and the earliest departure to Belgium was at 9:30. Which had an estimated time of arival
12 o'clock. She still has to go through pasport control, luggage pickup and all the other crap. Problem is, My mum found it in Brussels... the flight lands in Charleroi... which is a half an hour to 45 minutes distance from Brussels... and hour or so to get to the center... and this judging by car. If she came with the
train... she'd have to take a taxi through the center of town to get a train, wait for the train and get to Brussels.
Easily an hour. If my mum found the wallet on the metro around 13. She'd have to have been in town a while earlier,
for it to get stolen...

EDIT: typo

How far ahead is the time in Poland? Did you factor that in?
Zero - same time zone.

OT: well 4 hours is plenty of time, to be honest. And I'm not sure how a flight from Poland to Brussels would take 2:30 hours - I take 3 hour fights for a lot more distance than that. I'm pretty sure it should be less
I have no idea. The flight time from Bournemouth (southwest of England) to Amsterdam, (when those flights still existed, anyway), is about half an hour.

In practice though, that means the actual time to make that particular journey is over 2 hours. You need at least 45 minutes to check in, and about half an hour to get your luggage back.
Not to mention at a large airport like Amsterdam, the taxi from the landing runway to the terminal can take 10-15 minutes in itself.

And all of this still doesn't account for getting to or from the airport.

They say high-speed rail beats air travel for distances under about 600 km. And when you look at the overhead involved, it's not really that difficult to see why. (Although Eurostar for instance undermines this a little because it has security procedures almost as time consuming as air travel.)

I'm gonna chalk this one up to the magic of bullshit. Make sure to tell us the real answer is if she ever comes to get her wallet.

Oh sure they *sound* cute and funny until you have to fight one....then just when you think that you've done enough damage to make it turn tail and run you discover that it was only turning around because it has a giant laser mounted in it's...well the less said the better.
(Death by @$$ laser...humiliating as well as terrifying....)

Yesterday at 13 o'clock, my mum found a wallet on the metro in Brussels.

She then noticed this receipt...

How the hell, did she get from Poland ( some place nexto the border close to Romania/Hungary) to Brussels in 4 hours?
She likely didn't use a passenger airline, but a private jet. She's an assassin who works for the highest bidder and after her work in Poland was finished, she headed to the airport making a pit stop on the way to dispose of her weapon. She also bought something from a shop so she could have an alibi, and a souvenir of her latest fulfilled contract. She flew to Brussels in her private jet and was on the metro to get rid of anyone who tailed her after she landed.

She dropped her purse in surprise at thinking she saw an Interpol agent who's been chasing her relentlessly for months. The receipt was also meant to serve as a way of identifying her when she met her contact to pick up her new weapon (she only uses a weapon once). She always sees a hit through, once accepted, so the loss of her purse and receipt will only serve to change her plans slightly. The first thing she would do is meet a handler who will give her a new identity. She will check into a hotel under her new alias, probably a polish businesswoman in Brussels on business. You should check the best hotels in the city, she'll be staying at one of those.

It would have to be an African swallow as the wallet would be far too heavy for a European one. This raises the further question of what an African swallow is doing in Europe?

Probably sent by terrorists, according to the EDL.
And let us not discount the probability that maybe it was carried by TWO european swallows.
