Did you ever go out with a girl just for the hell of it?

Today, I was walking around the school grounds, and this girl, who I never really showed interest in, and gives me a slip of paper and walks off. Recently, she had been giving me hugs out of nowhere, so I knew something fishy was up. Anyway, I open up the note and, no surprise, it said, "So, I'm gonna get right to the point. I like you. Do you like me?" Also in the note was her number. I'm not particularly interested in her, but she's kinda cute and really nice. Sure, I'm interested in a different girl or 3, but I probably have no chance anyways. So I ask you fellow Escapees, did you ever date a girl for the hell of it, and how did it end up?

Go for it. It wont be a fairy tale ending, but no relationships at that age (I assume 15/16) are! If you lucky you can get some action out of it and if she is cute and nice you may find yourself suddenly more interested in her than you thought.

Couldn't hurt could it?

did this, i wouldnt advise it though, ended up falling apart because i kept acting all distant and suchlike. It was good while it lasted but unless you are actually gonna work at it and try to keep it going, dont get her hopes up.

Yup. Hot makeouts = awesome, and not needing to be attached = awesomer.
There's really no reason not to.

Plus, one of the girls you actually do like might begin to see you as someone who is actually worth dating, once another girl already has.

Just don't be a dick to her, and there's not really any way this could end poorly.
Unless she's a stalker, in which case it could turn into a horror-film-scenario.

EDIT: But be up-front about how you feel. She might decide not to go out with you, but honesty is always the best policy.

No, i find that kind of thing retarded, I'm only going to go out with someone I can actually make a full conversation with me without being like... "wait whaaat?" and me slapping them across the face. I need someone intelligent and at least decent to look at.

Once, it was horrible. I didnt know her much at all. I think she was a stalker too. She buggers off but seemed to hear conversations with my friends.

I have in the past and they actually ended up into pretty good relationships for the fact that they were quite fun to be around and smart (some were not smart and fun so it ended fast).

Go for it. I've never dated a girl for the hell of it, so I don't know how it ends lol. I'd take things slow, get to know her, see if you like her or not. I've seen that if you don't like a girl, even if she is RIDICULOUSLY hot, it's hard to pretend to yourself if you know you really don't like her.

Sort of, i feel horrible about it now, moreso because of how awkward it is to be in the same room with her now..

I dated a Korean for a few months, and while the relationship carried no real connection, the sex wasn't bad, so I guess that's definitely not a good reason to do it.

I also "dated" a different girl a little before the end of school last year. Only thing was, I was going away for 2 months two weeks after we got together, and Metal Gear Solid 4 came out right about that time sooooo......
