Didn't see it. Not much of a movie person myself, and that one just didn't catch my attention. Maybe down the line if it's on hbo or something i'll see it, but I doubt it. I'm not into the "it's cool because it's trendy" flicks.

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

It's to liberal and young for me; I know all the characters will be acting like brats, and the bit about [[INSERT LOVE INTEREST'S NAME HERE]] being a Bisexual pissed me off. Seriously, I've no problems with Heterosexuals or Homosexuals, but I can't stand the middle-ground; they tend to be the flukey, ultra-liberal wankers I'd happily shoot.

I'm probably gonna get flamed for this, but I give up trying.
This. Thank you, tought I was the only one.

hooray for uniqueness :D i didn't see it and its not for the two main reasons the OP suggested.

Movies don't interest me too much... okay, thats not entirely true, i recently saw 'despicable me' and was laughing throughout it xD and my favourite thing to do with my girlfriend is sit back and watch films with her (only because i feel awkward playing a video game... its like, she enjoys watching and we still talk, but i feel like i'm not involving her)

if its any consolation, i didn't see the expendables either. and who is Micheal Cera?

I thought it was great. It made me go and read all the comics, something only Alan Moore's films have inspired me to do.

It had just a brilliant blend of the normal and the fantastical. There'd be a very real conversation, thought or event made a bit ridiculous by the comic element and then he'd get caned in the face and begin some amazingly choreographed fight. And I thought the way the whole subspace element is treated as part of the normal world was pretty funny.

After reading the comics I'm not sure Cera was the best choice for the role but he did it justice and makes it work.

Great film all round and one of the best I've seen this year.

wow, never thought someone would see it from my point of view. i reckon a lot of people are 'bi-sexual' because they think its cool and they suddenly become all up themselves. or at least in the experiences i've had with people, they just get really annoying... ultra-liberal wankers as such :p
that or they are just in it for the sex. they just don't care what the gender is, as long as they are being pleasured.

i'll be honest though, thats not going to stop me from seeing a film xD i've got to pretend that i'm not bothered about people being indecisive. what do they want, best of both? do they even see us as people or just things to be consumed? odd-unfunny-reference-to-bread

anyway, kinda-off-topic and hooray for flames and baits

I saw it because I'm an 'indie-geek'. That is, a geek who is also heavily indie and into the indie subculture (not a stereotype, before any of the pretentious 'hipster purists' starts accusing me...).

So of course, the combination of video games and indie/alternative styling made it irresistible for me. And it didn't fail to impress. I rank it joint top in my top films of 2010, the other joint title holder being Inception.

Anyway, I read the books straight afterwards and was hooked (the books are actually even better IMO, though the film as amazing too). I'm typing this wearing a black t-shirt with the Titanium Baseball Bat scene from the books on the front (+1 against blondes...). So that should tell you how highly I rate this series...

Isn't it Nega Scott?

On-topic: I saw the movie in cinema and thought it was really good. Especially the ending. Swords going in and out of his chest. I also wish they had that type of scoring system in real-life, I want as many 1-ups as I can get :D.
