I thought Dead Space 1&2, RE5, SSBB, FF: Crisis Core, God of War 3 (and other games that I can`t think of right now) were absolute garbage.

But I guess thats not really a dirty secret.

I never played Shadow of the Colossus.
I never played Half Life 1 or any of it's expansions.
I never played any of the original Zelda games like Ocarina of Time.
Heh heh...Orcarina of Time as one of the 'original' Zelda games...It really has become the franchises benchmark, hasn't it?

Oh, I also used to never be able to beat Sonic 1 without cheating and can't beat Sonic 3D at all.

What are some of your secrets you'd never tell antother game, OR stuff you like to do in games thats frowned upon.

For me? I have NEVER played portal or half-life 1/2 once in my life.
There's nothing wrong with not playing Half-Life or Portal. If you don't like them or you're not interested then don't worry. They're not some artifact sent down by God that are perfect in every way that if not played you shall be punished at the stake.
I have played Half Life 2 but I didn't think it was too cool. Maybe it's because all of MW2's fast paced action made this game seem badly paced. I haven't played the episodes though. Someone bother to persuade me to?

I have both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II on PS2. I only bought them to shut my friends up over them. I played through a bit of KH1 and I didn't like it at all. I didn't see how the Disney aspect brought anything good to the game. Just a bad JRPG with Mickey Mouse.

I don't enjoy platformers, especially not metroidvania type games.

I enjoy technological improvements in my games.

I prefer my video games the way I like my sports... competitive and skill based, with little to no emphasis or care in "artistic merit".

Which makes me a Counter Strike, Team Fortress, and StarCraft fan who usually doesn't bother playing the "game of the year" titles like Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout, or Portal.

I help make your multiplayer experience frustrating and difficult.

I've never finished a Mario game >_> I'm serious. It still haunts me to this day whenever I think of that. I've never been all that fussed about beating it but lately I've been feeling more like I should just plug in the original Super and beat it. I've played a lot of Mario games across all the platforms but I've never actually finished one to the end.

Oh well, one of my gaming goals has always been to get good at Street Fighter 2, I just beat the Hyper Anniversary edition moments ago on the PS2, which has cheap as shit AI, but I kicked it's ass with Fei Long (after 57 battles >_>).

I like games that let me play dress up with my characters.

Seriously, if a game has character customization in it, visual customization, it gets an automatic interest point for me.
Me too. I love it when a game lets me decide how I look. Saints row 2 is crazy fun for this. I think games like Persona or Pokemon could be improved if they gave us some charecter select options at least.

One of the reasons that dragon age 2 can fuck off. Can't pick my characters race anymore? Everyone calls me by an assumed surname? I guess bioware decided that the story it wanted to tell was more important than my fun.
Yeah, I thought that about Dragon Age 2, as well, but I've been playing it, and despite my limited-playing-dress-up issue (and all the blind, unnecessary hatred) and it's actually pretty good.

I actually dig the not having a giant, standard baddie storyline, and instead, more of a "This is your guy. This is his life. Adventures happen. Nope, no obvious big, bad monster boss right from the get-go. Just his life as an adventurer and his hilarious friends."

Oh, another secret... I love wrestling games. My favorites are the THQ WWE games, as they tend to flaunt the customization muscles pretty well.

Heck, I've spent hours just making wrestlers that never saw the inside of a ring.

Games developers are trying to tell a story through an interactive medium. Especially RPGs. It's all about the story. If you don't like that, don't play RPGs

Hmmm I've never played a Zelda other than that Minish Cap one...

In games that let me choose gender, I ALWAYS choose female for some reason o_O
I do the same, and I used to worry a bit about it... until I realized that if I was going to be staring at a butt for however many hours, it's nice if it's female.

I like point and click adventures. *runs away*
I miss point and click adventures :(, now I want to play discworld: missing presumed...

Mine is probably, Legend of Zelda games are awful, universally.
Super Mario 64 is a pile of shit with bad controls, bad graphics and awful level design.
Even though I think Medieval II total war is the best rts ever, the AI is legitimately terrible, charging it's general and cavalry through my longbowmens stakes terrible. I also have never done a campaign without several billion florins (In fairness I gave the AI (except rebels, they abuse it way too much) this much as well, battles become much more epic).
Even though I have 172 hours of game time on Civ V, I have finished 4-5 games total with easy mode nations too (Russia, Ghandi and Alexander mainly).
I have played Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4 right up to the end but haven't completed them.
I enjoyed FF XIII and XII and X.
Due to nostalgia I view Final Fantasy VII as the greatest game ever made.
I trash talk so much in online games I end up alienating myself from other people.
In my third time going online in Red Dead Redemption I launched an unprovoked attack on 4 people, with a fifth joining at the end (due to excessive high power pistol/ Caraccano use I killed them repeatedly until they left the game, they were on mics and they called me ****** and actually discussed tactics whilst I listened)

There would probably be more

I've been turned on by my own wow avatar and Felicia Day more times that I would like to admit.

I also have 85's on both factions and regularly stalk members of my opposing guild then hang out in guild chat to see if they cry about it...

I disliked Devil May Cry 2 and 3...

And yeh addicted to character customisation.

Oh, here's a good one. The only Final Fantasy I've ever replayed was VIII.

Like, 20 times.

It's my favorite.

Also, the space scene made me cry.

Oh, oh! Here's another one... I have skipped a close relative's funeral with excuses to play games on launch day.
