And I, at the age of sixteen, have yet to ask anyone out. I have a few confidence issues. Some people take me as untrustworthy because I'm too shy to look them in the eye.
There has been a few girls that I have attempted to get closer to, however, but it always ends up with them thinking of me as a brother. Do you have any idea how bloody annoying that is? I'm one of the few that actualy does that "smacking my head against the wall" thing.

At 16 I was asked out by a 27 year old...and 2 would be good years followed. Well the start was good anyway, the rest was just ok I guess. As for asking someone out I've only done it once and I got rejected, but she was polite about it at least. But like you I am most the time too shy to look people in the eye. I always think they think I'm ignoring them or not listening. As for the brother thing I don't think I've had that, girls either stay away from me or talk to me because they think I'm cute/hot or whatever.

To be honest I wish I was able to talk girls. I find you can do a lot with just words (you just have to find the girls that still show respect instead of only going for the way you act or whatever...not an easy thing to come across it seems nowadays). But I'm too shy and me trying to talk to a girl in person without them initiating the conversation is near impossible most times.

Yeah exact same problem as me. The only time I seem to be able to talk to girls is in the workplace...since well I really have no choice. I'm the only guy who works in the deli department and am surrounded by cute girls, I'm not gonna complain about it. (I do hate my job though)

I sometimes become very anxious about my appearance because sometimes I get to thinking that my lips are too big (I'm a guy so that's a problem).

I'm 19 and I've never been on a date in my life. I'm getting very close to "falling for" this girl I work with, but I've never had the guts to ask her out and other guys always beat me to her anyway. I'm afraid that I will never experience romance. It actually keeps me up at night sometimes.

My guy has huge lips, like, black guy lips. They're absolutely the best lips I've ever kissed. Don't worry about your lips. Chicks dig pillow lips, they feel good. =]
And work + relationships don't really go that well from what I've gone through but if you think she's worth it and that you two can handle the stress then go for it.
