BOCA RATON, Fla. - As far as anyone knew, Kenton Weaver didn't know how to drive a car and couldn't buy a plane ticket.

But before dawn, the 13-year-old with Asperger's Syndrome snatched his dad's Ford Explorer from their home in Boca Raton, drove it to the Fort Lauderdale Airport and hopped on a plane going to California.

You could probably get a job overhyping titles for everything.
My thoughts were similar to Max's.

Edit: Asperger's doesn't exactly make him disabled, either.

Wow this sounds exactly like homeward bound... Kind of

They should have really said whether or not he had a mild form of the syndrome or not because i looked it up just to make sure i was right about which disease and yep clumsiness definitely a symptome.

Not as impressive as I originally thought.

I imagined some kid with crutches beating down some dude and stealing his car.
Same except the kid was in a wheelchair.

Aw, I was thinking the same thing Max was thinking. If the child were actually disabled (asperger's isn't really a disability, just hampers some of the stupider, more arbitrary social nuances. I would know as I have it), I would give him an award for awesomeness.

Still, beyond what I did as a 13-year old.

Edit: Am I the only one who thinks this resembles The Wizard? An autistic boy (not seriously autistic, as I mentioned) going on a journey to California? Is their a gaming tournament their he's trying to be in? A smug boy with a power glove?

I went to a community school, you know, multicultural and disabled kids all mixed in the same classes, and the wheelchair kids had spunk.

One of the nastiest guys in school could barely walk on his own, but boy could he hold a baseball bat.

That would make an awesome movie/game.
