(Off the topic for a moment I'm stopping the "and You!" threads now, its a stupid gimmick really)

I would just like to say, DISSIDIA is probably the most fun game i have played in a looooong time.

Within a week i've played it for 70 hours and im still not bored of it!

The main reason for the thread is simple, i've played it this long, but the challenge has started to wear thin and there is nearly no-one online.

This is also a hook-up battle thread, interested?

EDIT: DISSIDIA is a Final Fantasy split off game, PSP exclusive.

It's a game for the PSP. Final Fantasy: Dissidia. I think it's meh, i've got like 3 of my mates obsessed with it at school and all i've seen is fighting. It looks boring.

So...is this a thread for trying to get people to play online with each other because If I can get my wireless working again then I'm game. I'm sure you have heard of X-link kai? Hell I've logged 150 hours into the game and have yet to unlock everything or max out all the characters. Got a little obsessed with Golbez for the first week XD

It's extremely overrated. I got bored of playing as cloud after the 3rd time (i've played as everyone else) Cloud felt the most comfortable, but it's still very cumbersome, and the camera is complete shithouse, especially when running up a building. The demo wasn't anything amazing. You have 1 button to attack, and one button to steal bravery. You acquire enough bravery, pull off your limit and the battle is well and truly over (even on the harder difficulties).
It's a pretty pointless no-nothing game, apart from quenching FF7 fans thirst for Sephiroth battle porn -.-
It's basically just a lame copout for Square not making a second Ergheiz...
Now that game was so ahead of it's time.
Bottom line is, if you didn't like the demo... AVOIDLIKETHEPLAGUE!

Did you only play the demo or did you play the full game? The demo is terribly easy and misleading and only really is there to show off the basics and arcade mode. Seriously, a lot of what you just said sounds like ignorant bashing. Everyone knew it was fanservice from the get go, but it manages to actually go beyond that and be a game that even non fans can enjoy. It's not even a cop out, and is as pointless as any other game for that matter. Hell it was originally supposed to be a kingdom hearts game but decided to make it to celebrate 20years of this franchise.

Your last statement also was totally uncalled for and reeks of troll.

No I have not, but that does not matter as this thread isn't about Ehrgeiz. Hell the two games are completely different so you can't compare. It still stands that your comments are rather trollish and complaints hollow.

Completely different? They're both fighting games with final fantasy characters! (among others). Play the game and then maybe I'll care what you have to say.

And another condescending comment -_-. Yes they are both fighting games and have FF characters in them, but they are completely different in terms of gameplay mechanics. I may have not played the game, but I HAVE seen it and my friend has the game. They don't play the same, one is a 3d fighter and the other is an arena based fighter. I'm not saying the game is bad, but your bashing of Dissidia is uncalled for in this thread and it just sounds like a refusal to accept a game that also tries to do something different. Just go away and let people discuss the game in peace without having to hear such asinine purist comments.

1: hmm...I can understand if it may be a little overwhelming when you first start, but like many fighters, it gets easier with time.

2: a) because sin would be hard to implament, and b) Jecht WAS the bad guy in a way as he WAS sin. The story mode in Dissidia also gives some reasoning as to why he is on the forces of chaos.

The game does not have infrastructure mode so there is no "true" online to it. If you have a PS3 you can use Ad-hoc party to play with people online. If not, look up x-link kai, it's a PC program that uses your wireless connection to enable you to play ad hoc only PSP games online.

But seymour wasn't the main antagonist and his relationship between Tidus wasn't the same as Jecht as the creators stated themselves.

It's a refusal by me to accept yet another mediocre product created by a company who long ago abandoned any good ideas they had in favour of just making money (this happened around the time of XI)of a franchise they seem hell bent on destroying. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to XIII, but I'm really hoping this will be the Final Fantasy. FF is holding Square back.
They need to evolve.
