I love the game, but I'm a bit shit at it, I've only had it three days :S

Plus I can't work out how to go online (cuz i iz so cl3vr!!1!!)
The game does not have infrastructure mode so there is no "true" online to it. If you have a PS3 you can use Ad-hoc party to play with people online. If not, look up x-link kai, it's a PC program that uses your wireless connection to enable you to play ad hoc only PSP games online.
I knew it would be something like that. Thanks, I'll keep it in mind :)

2 why the hell is jecht the bad guy from 10 he wasent evil
HE was a bad father and he treated Tidus like crap. Granted I hated Tidus too for being a pretty boy on Cloud levels, but considering he was the big ham in the way of me winning the game, I'd say he's evil enough to warrant a spot in the game.

It's a refusal by me to accept yet another mediocre product created by a company who long ago abandoned any good ideas they had in favour of just making money (this happened around the time of XI)of a franchise they seem hell bent on destroying. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to XIII, but I'm really hoping this will be the Final Fantasy. FF is holding Square back.
They need to evolve.
Please oh PLEASE explain how Dissidia is mediocre. yes Ehrgeiz had RPG elements too but Dissidia's execution and handling of them is just satisfactory. You still haven't stated whether you have even played the full game or just the demo. Dissidia is one of the most innovative and unique fighters to come out in a LONG time. Besides, Square has always been about the money, just like every game company.

i know that sin would be a bit stupid but seymour is a more natural choice than jecht
But seymour wasn't the main antagonist and his relationship between Tidus wasn't the same as Jecht as the creators stated themselves.
ok you got me with the whole jecht makes for a more intresting story but how was seymour not the main antagonist thair is more intaraction with him than any of the other bad guys

There was once upon a time when Square (only being Square) were able to turn anything to gold, and now we're stuck with horrible messes of things that don't work well (here's looking at you Suburishiki Kono Sekai!) and lose their interest after only a few hours of gameplay (i'm looking at you XII).
I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that they'll never make a game as infinitely complex as FFVIII ever again...

Seeing as how Jecht WAS sin, be it by his own will or not, he was the main threat. The designers mentioned that the characters were chosen due to both logical story purposes and because the hero and villains corresponding with each other shared some sort of personal relation with each other from their respective games. THIS is why Golbez is in Dissidia and not Zemus/Zeromus, or why Kuja is in the game and not Necron.

I can understand not liking their later iterations, and maybe they have slumped a bit. Hell you think after 20 years they wouldn't go through a slump? Although i nearly threw up in my mouth when you mentioned the abomination that is FF8, proof of how they can screw up. But that is for another thread and another time.

1: its to hard when you just picked it up
I didn't find TOO much difficulty adjusting to it, in fact its quite easy to learn R and X to dodge, Square for HP attacks, and Circle for Bravery attacks.

If you play Tidus' Story Mode you will see that...
Jecht is only doing it so him and Tidus can go back to Zanarkand
And if they put Seymour in instead of Jecht, the Cosmos alternative would have to be Yuna.

Damn, I wish I could stop seeing how good it is because my PSP is broken and I can't get it. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to cry in a corner.

There there... Maybe they won't ruin their reputation further and deliver on your wish... but I doubt it.

saw gameplay, thought it looked like DBZ BT3, must investigate further
Yeah, its a way i describe it, imagine DBZ Tenkaichi, mixed with Crisis Core with all the main Final Fantasy characters together with Square Enix giving it there all to make a game.

Seeing as this is probably there first game of this type its pretty damn good.

I am also hoping to see DLC, but i doubt there will be.

I am not certain on buying it. I have never played an Final Fantasy, Except IX and Crisis Core, so I'm afraid the entire Fanservice will go past me.

Is it a good game nonetheless?

Well, i've been gaming for nearly 16 years now, and its probably the best play (all things considered) for about 5-7 years.

Also, i think it started off as Fanservice, but it grew to something more serious.

I bought Dissidia out of fanboyism, or as I put it: Square-Enix cultism. But I've found I enjoy Dissidia more than I was expecting. Sure the Story mode isn't all that exciting and hell if I can ever get the damn Destiny Point Typhoon summon, but combat is very exciting and challenging. It has a large cast of characters, each with their own set of abilities that keep fights varied. Personally I started with Cloud just because I'm one of those guys.

Combat is fast, movement is fluid, customizing your moves and abilites is a plus. Sure, sometimes a match can end in seconds because Sephiroth's attacks are quick as shit and Break my ass constantly giving him a massive bravery count that could destroy me in one hit....that prick. Definitely have to learn to Dodge or Block if you want to be Pro. This isn't some "smash each other til someone's health is gone" game. It takes some skill and I like that.

Hm, i've allways been sceptical of the PSP- and i looked the other way with Crisis Core, but darn it, this game is just to much. (And that FF7 port) Im am now seriously considering one, and probably getting one come payday =o
